We're on our way to Wembley
**Spend A Day With Me Next Week On Oct 18Th***
My next seminar is Friday October 18th near Heathrow.
If you want details on how to spend a day with me and live markets email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "October seminar interested" in the subject line and I'll send you details, more details below too. A decent early bird discount is on offer but not for much longer...
**Next Website Update Wed October 9Th (No Update 2Nd)*
But obviously look forwards to seeing some of you in person before that at the follow up seminar on Oct 4th.
I know a number of you very well now and can hardly wait myself to see what the day will throw up! Who knows where the markets will take us but that is the fun of it.
"We're on our way to Wembley..."
Not words me and my 8-year-old expect to be shouting anytime soon given our next -door team's poor showings so far this season.
However we ARE on our way to Wembley this very Sunday!
Out of the blue recently I was contacted by the hotel group I use for seminars offering us two top tickets for American Football big event at Wembley.
Including a box and a five course meal! I looked up ticket prices for the event and was staggered to see prices were averaging £600 !
I duly accepted. Looks like someone noticed I spend thousands and thousands on seminar rooms with them.
Their mark up must be enormous so I guess this is a tiny bit of payback.
Christopher's been dying to see Wembley so this is his chance.
I think both of us are going to try and learn a bit about American football before we go so we at least know what's going on.
Some relatives of ours live in Jacksonville in the States so last year we went to a Jacksonville Jaguars game with them.
And bizarrely the owner of the Jaguars bought Fulham FC this summer!
The games seem to revolve around TV commercial breaks, the games start and stop all the time depending on when the breaks are!
I'm kind of not sure how many other 8-year-olds are going to be there, I suspect none and I'm kind of hoping there aren't any raised eyebrows...
I'll report back about our Wembley outing next time. By the end of the weekend I am going to be well and truly sported out.
Saturday: Football training at Fulham in the morning. The Fulham Vs Cardiff in the afternoon.
Sunday: Christopher's team has a big game against the under 9 equivalent of Man U in the morning then off to Wembley for the rest of the day and part of the evening.
Phew, I am going to need a rest on Monday and thank goodness I don't have a job. I would be way too tired to do it!
Not having been tested for my health for about 20 years I decided to get checked out a little and everything is absolutely fine except my cholesterol is high.
So the choice was, take statins (drugs that help this) or change my diet to see if that brings it down.
The worry with high cholesterol is that it puts you in line for a heart attack which is a bit sobering. However, there is some controversy about this. If everything else is okay some say medics worry too much about cholesterol.
I could take statins but you have to take them foreever and there are possible nasty side effects including eye cataracts.
Some also say they are too easily prescribed and that big business is involved with the selling of them when they aren't really needed.
So seems sensible to give diet a go. The other possibility is it is hereditary and I think my mum had high cholesterol and she did have a stroke but not till she was 83.
Anyhow, out goes cheese, wine, chocs, crisps, prawns etc. Well, it's fine I can live without them. In come nuts and some horrible yoghurt drink. Good salted popcorn is okay too and so is porridge and I like both of those..
I'm supposed to exercise but I did that already, I swim every day.
So I'll give the diet thing three months and see if the score comes down then I can take a decision whether to start pills but I'd really rather not if I can possibly help it.
I've also bought a book which contests the idea of high cholesterol being responsible on its own for heart attacks.
I'll let you know if the new food diet works or not. Right time for a twix... oopps I mean some almonds and a banana darn it.
Thanks very much to all of you who wrote to me after the seminar with your kind words. Very glad indeed you enjoyed the day and I'm even seeing a few of you again next week as the follow up, see you there!
If you missed this one, the next seminar is on Friday October 18th at Heathrow.
Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com for details with "October seminar interested" in the subject line. There is a very decent early bird discount on offer right now.

Naked Trader Seminar Latest News
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on oct 18th
Price is £590 plus vat. (Early bird discount is on offer however)
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "October seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards! You might even get to see the amazing crocodile boots . . . .
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

Naked Rambling
Ed Milliband is hilarious. His interview with Marr says all you need to know.
They sit round a table and come up with some slogans "One Nation"
"Millionaires tax cut", "cost of living crisis" etc etc
Ed will roll out all these buzz phrases in answer to any question.
"What did you have for breakfast Ed?"
"Breakfast is all very well but more important is that we have one nation breakfasts indeed can we afford breakfasts at all given the cost of living crisis, only millionaires with their millionare tax cuts can afford breakfast anyway..."
And so on. I cringed my way through his speech. I think he thinks he's Michael McKintyre.
Of course it is crowd pleasing stuff but behind it is just fluff. The policies will get watered down.
But wouldn't you hate to live in a Britain where anyone who works hard to make money gets it taken off them.
Can you really imagine going back to 70s socialism?
And there wasn't a mention of the deficit or how anything is going to get paid for without interest rates going up for Britain's borrowing.
Looks like Labour will get in with the Lib Dems. And that is going to spell disaster for the economy.
Downton Abbey is back. I gather Bates is still in it. Has his hair had another amazing resurrection?
We kind of gave up with it last series and wondering whether to give it another go.
On BBC the rival to Downton was about a rogue police outfit which ousts criminals using unusual methods.
It's almost identical to "Hustle" which isn't surprising as it's the same writers.
It's all just too smug and self-satisfied. No tension, and silly plot holes everywhere including a really caricature of a bad guy.
Because Mrs NT is Irish we decided to watch new comedy "London Irish".
We sat dumbfounded at the stereotype of thick Irish who have nothing about them except being crude and getting drunk.
So dumbfounded that it took 15 minutes to switch it off though sheer surprise at how this made the screen at all.
Sample joke. "Did you pack this wee bag yourself?" "No, but I packed a big bag".
That was the only "joke" that was pathetically crude with no merit.
I'm sure anyone Irish or anyone who knows anyone Irish would be shocked at this terrible representation of a clever, funny, and witty people.
As Mrs NT says: "The Irish are very funny, not like these people on screen at all."
Looking forwards to seeing Deborah Meaden on Strictly. But I fear it won't be long till the public tell her "You're out!"

Do remember if you do bet you ought to treat sports spreadbetting as entertainment - and expect to lose! Also with spreadbetting work out what your max loss could be and make sure you can afford it! In other words if you say backed the favourite at 15 for a fiver and they come nowhere your max loss is £75.

"For throwing your heart, soul and energy into one fact-packed, full-on and exhaustingly educational day: FIVE stars with no hesitation!!
Met some really nice people too - like me, nervous that it was the most we'd ever spent on a whole day of anything (had we made arses of ourselves?) But no one felt short-changed, especially when you were still going strong when we all wanted to go to bed! One of your delegates, Susan, back for a second time, said to me unequivocally, "you will go away absolutely inspired." I can't disagree.
Thanks Gary, hope you make some money!
Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.
The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.
I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!
Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!
Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !
Thanks Gabriel!
Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.
I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites
saying how great an event was. Now I'm one of those people!. I
genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance
Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!
Stephen writes:
I read your book and did the course - and I wasn't sure if I'd recoup the cost, it's been 2 years and I've made £38k + saved a loss transferring a Jupiter ISA heavily invested in BP. I can't tell you how important this is or how grateful I am. That's just me, who knows how much people have made with your help and saved by not making mistakes. I wanted to get into shares as they recovered after the crunch, but I assumed I had to put a large amount in one company I thought would make a big jump.
But what happens when you make £1m on the website, will you still do courses? I don't know how you do your ISA and SIPP investments, write the website, books, courses and answer e-mails. But please don't give it up. Couldn't you do the courses and have a standing website which gets updated with your trades say once a month so people can see what you do..
Stephen thanks so much for such a nice mail and much appreciated! Dunno about the future, I feel like I'm getting jaded. It's possible I might just reduce it all at some point to twice a month after going weekly - that would probably help. The other problem is other people's angst is getting to me and the email workload becoming overwhelming. I think after ten years it might be time for me to quit. Anyway good luck with your trades and hope you make a lot more.
I have 3 great offers from ADVFN.
ADVFN level 2 offer
First great deal: If you want level 2, through me it is only £350 for your first year including VAT!
This compares to £473 direct from advfn inc vat so this deal saves you over a whopping £120! ADVFN level 2 also includes all the live trades made through Plus Markets which I find invaluable.

More on level 2 in my book and I spend hours on it at my seminars. So if you get level 2 and want to learn how to use it properly live, book my seminar!
ADVFN Bronze Offer
To take up the offer, e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with Bronze in the subject line and I will tell you how to claim the deal.

EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too. This includes asking me what to do with a share, what I might "think" about a share or deconstructing any of the buys I mention here. I would be grateful, see FAQ for more on this. Of course more than happy to answer general questions not related to specific shares.
Well after some activity in the last couple of weeks, it's been a quiet week for me.
It's a funny time for me. I made so much over the last 3 years I never have to worry about money again - that's mainly because I have banked a lot of the proceeds and bought property with it that will always be rentable.
So I have seen tangible results. I don't see the point of building up masses in accounts and then leaving it all in because there is always the chance of losing it!
But when you buy property with trading profits there is something to show for it that will always be valuable. I know some people buy gold. I don't see the point, property will always keep a lot of its value.
It is a bit weird though. I don't NEED to make any more money. Now's the time to enjoy it and enjoy the time I created to do new things. I've already started doing those and news on those projects hopefully coming soon.
So I guess my trading is going to slow down a lot. From now on something really has to be special to get in the portfolio.
It has got to have a really good long-term story. After all the main bulk of the money I made has come from holding shares for over a year to in some cases ten years.
The hardest bit really is to keep hold of the good ones, but sometimes one has to realise it's time to let go and I have been selling off some of the big long-term gainers.
So I have sold up some of the longer-termers (though sometimes keeping a small amount for a momento in the ISA and because I have to keep a lot of money in a lot of things now.)
I've sold them because I have had the most amazing upside with them, doubling and trebling and in each case I feel there is little more value in them and I've cashed in to free up cash for when I find some new trades with value in them.
Before I bag those big profits let me deal with a stinker of a recent trade first!
Nothing worse than buying something and shortly afterwards a negative statement comes out which is what happened with Keywords. My usual reaction is to sell when this happens.
I expected it to open at 130 so was surprised to see on level 2 before the market opened that it was going to open around 145. So I swiftly called my broker and put in a sell order with a limit of 140 which was where my stop loss was.
I was quite surprised and pleased the broker dealt for me at 145 at the opening. So I took a loss of £272. Not something I was expecting but it was on the riskier side of things. Actually it probably just is a short-term blip and it's one I may well come back to and eventually it could still climb nicely but I always think better to close out a loss after a negative statement and look at it again once the dust has cleared.
Also maths shows if I keep taking losses in the low £100s and profits in the grands and above I will always make money. However if I let the losses build up to the £1000's and then snatched at profits in the low £100s I would be a losing trader.
I've had a fabulous ride with Vislink making many thousands out of it and ultimately trebled my money. However for now I feel there is no value left in the shares so I'm finally gone for the website for 48.5 for a final massive profit of £14,085.
Topslicing these shares along the way has added thousands on top of that.
Greencore proved a storming winner but it struggles to get over 150 and since I nearly doubled on it seems a good time to sell up so that is gone at an average 145 for a very decent profit indeed of £11,545.
My final lot of Alternative Networks has also gone and that's been a decent more than doubler. I took loads of profits on it a couple of months ago but now it is time to sell the rest and they have gone at an average 340 for a profit of
£5,525.
Diverse went at 74.5 for a profit of £1,870, been a lovely investment trust but time to sell I think.
That's a total profit for the site today of a massive £32,753. That has freed up a lot of cash and going to wait with that, gives me the chance to buy stuff cheap when inevitably the market has a bad week or two sometime.
So even with long-termers there comes a time to sell!
Onto buys.
I bought some Renew (RNWH) - an interesting engineer with an explosive chart and what seems like decent fundamentals. It seems to be aquiring other companies and building a big presence in the environmental market.
I think this could end up being a nice ISA tuckaway for a couple of years for potentially a very nice profit.
Some of you know I've been building a position in Regenerisis (RGS) in my pension for some time and now I added some to the ISA too.
A superb report yesterday: everything is on the way up and I like the way the company talks about three potential "game changers".
I love that. "Game changers" to me means things that could really put a rocket up a share price.
As you may know I like to add to the winners and 32 Red (TTR) has been a real winner with excellent profits since I bought them earlier in the year.
I bought an extra 9,000 shares at 55. It's a nice one, rising profits and cash - but in the end the main thing with this one is it would make a lovely buy for any number of bigger bookie rivals. I've also bought some on the spreads at 60.
So it's quite an easy top up and I intend to hold onto them till I think an inevitable bid will come in somewhere between 80 and 100p hopefully.
I also picked up some more Communisis (CMS) getting some more at 57.25 using direct market access to buy at the sell price. This one has gone through 60 but I hope it should get to near 70p where it is more fairly valued.
(The account I use for this is
http://www.ig.com/nakedtradercfds
which is excellent - but learn how to use it properly before dipping a toe in)
A lot of new issues coming up such as Post office and Twitter.
The Post Office will probably be okay and I will probably go in for some - there is a good yield but it is not going to be terribly exciting.
Twitter will no doubt be overinflated. Foxtons rocketed to a very high price, more than 30x profits. I was quite interested at 200. At 275? Looks pricey.
Looks like those in it wanted to sell thinking we are coming close to the end of the London property rises. Maybe a potential short for now?
ELSEWHERE...
The portfolio had a reasonable week.
Recent buy SQS continues to drift higher, riskier oil buy Caracal looks like it wants to get up to 500p and Parity rises slowly.
Conviviality and Cohort appear a bit stuck and might need time to get an rerating. Al Noor can't quite push up to 900 for now.
Monitise has quickly bust way higher and looks a lovely trade - very volatile as the market tries to shake out some sellers.
The future continues to looks very bright for Vectura (VEC) which this week reported approval for another of its drugs. Looks like it might not be long now till I doubled up on the first buy. Massive profits now.
Nichols continues to fizz gradually higher ...Just a matter of time before it gets taken out with Britivic or AG Barr possible bidders.
Entertainment One, another double continues up as does Avon Rubber, still bounces higher!
Hellerman Tyton which had a very decent statement last week. The first lot bought when it listed around 195 are doing nicely so far as it pushes 250 and Sepura has put in a blinder. Keep thinking about taking profits in Hellerman but it keeps pushing up.
GB continues to push up and this one has more or less become a doubler for me.
Carclo seems to be on the rise again, a long-termer that's doubled and a bit but potential big upside there still.
Oil play Coastal where I've doubled and a half looks like it could be bid for again according to newspaper reports. I'm sure it will happen at some point.
Lots of other stuff in the portfolio goes well and there is hardly an open loss in sight.
All in all profits have continued to boom and I'm extremely happy though with a cautious eye out to take more profits should the market fall.
I've been testing out a new spreadbet firm over the last year. I just won't recommend anything unless I have really tested it over a long time and now happy to endorse it especially for any bets on indicies as the spread is only 0.8 on stuff like the FTSE.
Also they don't seem to do any messing about in stopping winning trades from being executed which has been known with a few of the firms which I totally refuse to endorse.
Execution of trades have been spot on as has account management and a robust system too. I really can't find fault with it.
To sign up go to www.spreadco.com/nakedtrader
If you start using them and find any problems please let me know.
I've been getting e-mails regarding my use of direct market access and who I use. I've tried a few and for me the easiest system for me is here:
http://www.ig.com/nakedtradercfds
Direct market access means you can place orders directly onto the order book bypassing brokers and market-makers with a chance to buy at the "sell" price. I would suggest you ensure you know what you're doing first but IG does provide much education with its "tradesense" educational tool which comes with it.
I also use its spreadbetting service too along with other firms like Tradefair because it now provides trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.
http://www.ig.com/nakedtrader
As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

You have to work at it, but if you do genuine repeat wealth could be yours. I did it. You can too. For full details, why not email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com.
An overview is also available at http://www.utilitywarehouse.org.uk/fabdeal you can sign up directly there but do tell me! (Click become a distributor and follow links)

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets
on wednesday afternoons.
