**Spend A Day With Me Next Week On Oct 18Th***
My next seminar is Friday October 18th near Heathrow.
If you want details on how to spend a day with me and live markets next month email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "October seminar interested" in the subject line and I'll send you details, more details below too.
NEW: Next follow up is October 4th for those who have already been to a seminar (we start where we left off and do timing, level 2, research all using my accounts with live markets) email me with "follow up interested" for details.
*****
Boo, summer appears to be over! My mind is still on the beach in Spain.
It's been hard work for the Mrs and Christopher to get back to the school routine.. of course for me it's very tough.. (when does Deal or No Deal start again?)
We're happily moved into our new place kindly bought by part of my ISA and various spreadbetting companies, thank you all! We've kept our old place on which I can use as an office and a place for friends to stay as it's only down the road.
Mrs NT did a stunning job of masterminding the project, building work all came in on time. The renovation budget didn't of course but ended up around the £250k mark which was pretty good considering that included an extension, a loft, complete gutting, renovation of the house and all new fittings etc.
I do feel very lucky and blessed. We probably don't have to worry about money ever again given we could rent out the old place very easily if we had to.
It means I can now relax a lot more than ever and pursue interesting projects of which more about later in the year if you're interested..
I'm not that interested in money per se.. buying cars and jewellery and all that doesn't interest me. What it does is buy me time to do what I want when I want, being able to enjoy new experiences and perhaps being able to turn left on a plane for long-distance flights.
I can hardly believe I bought and renovated a house with the stock market paying for it. Still sinking in.
After weeks of lazing about in Europe I thought Friday's seminar would be rather hard work but it turns out it wasn't due to an amazing group of readers who attended.
I really enjoyed hosting it even though I don't know how I got through the day after with tiredness...
I can't believe how many of you wanted to stay on and keep going till late but I had to throw in the towel eventually!
I met so many interesting people. From all areas of life. From doctors to plumbers, those running their own businesses, pilots and accountants, you name it, they were there..
All united by wanting to make some extra money trading and in some cases wanting to do it full time eventually.
Thanks so much to Gary who runs an amazing chocolate shop in Manchester for the bars of incredible posh chocolate which tastes divine.
Dr Shampa, thanks for all the input into the medical shares!
Someone who runs a bootcamp left early. He told me later he'd become drained. I helpfully suggested he did one of his own camps. No, he said, mentally drained! Ok, fair enough I said (just in case he made me do a bootcamp).
Mrs NT certainly doesn't need a bootcamp judging by the amount of boots that seem to get delivered here weekly...
Thank you all for your fascinating stories of disaster and success which I hope inspired the beginners in the room. It was an absolutely buzzing room and the energy coming from it gave me lots of energy too.
And even better I think we found a few really interesting companies to trade. I put on one or two live trades from my accounts and left some orders in the market too.
The food was great too this time I think, I really enjoyed my lunch and chatting with some of you over it.
I had to get up early the next day for Christopher's football (1-1 draw) then I managed to write up seminar notes and send them out.
Then it was off to watch a dire game, Fulham Vs West Brom. You watch these guys and think they get paid so much and yet none of them can hit a shot actually somewhere near the goal..
And then.. off into town for a friend's birthday at a restaurant..
and then at last... BED!!!!
I can't remember ever being so tired then arose to a bundle of emails from those who'd been to the seminar (very nice but still work to do!)
If you missed this one, the next seminar is on Friday October 18th at Heathrow.
Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com for details with "October seminar interested" in the subject line. There is a very decent early bird discount on offer right now.
Beginners and improvers welcome! Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch!
My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.
A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!
**Follow Ups**
Next follow up with me is October 4th for those who have already been to a seminar (we start where we left off and do timing, level 2, research all using my accounts with live markets) email me with "follow up interested" for details.
We have a bit of a decision to make with Christopher's football. Fulham seem willing for him to come to their advanced training which is Friday nights.
But then there is also Friday night five asides which he and we love doing too and he plays for a team.
So do we take him for the training (too serious for an 8-year-old?) or do the five asides and have a lot of fun?
I think at 8 it is just too early to be taking the game too seriously and I'm kind of on the side of just having fun with it for now. And maybe change our minds if he develops even more in the next 2-3 years.
He's not sure which way to go either. He says the training is good but he doesn't know anyone there. Whereas he is part of the scene of the five aside games.
Tricky, we might take him for a session at Fulham this Friday and make a decision next week.

Naked Trader Seminar Latest News
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on oct 18th
Price is £590 plus vat. (Early bird discount is on offer however)
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "April seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards! You might even get to see the amazing crocodile boots . . . .
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

Naked Rambling
The Lib Dems. Dear oh dear. I do get the obsession with raising the personal allowance, agree that is good.
But Nick Clegg. This guy is someone who came from a rich background, he's never had to do a stroke of real work in his life, understands nothing about business or how the world really works.
(That goes for most current politicians)
Worst of all is that bumbling idiot Vince Cable. How anyone can take him seriously is beyond me. The duffer hasn't got a clue.
The lib dems don't seem to have any policies except they want to spend a lot of time taking money "from the rich".
Obsessed with their idiotic "Mansion tax". Bog standard family houses in London are well over £2m now. Some of these families might live in a house worth a lot, it doesn't mean they can afford to give the Government £20k plus a year.
Indeed it is simply unfair. Even if people are wealthy they create jobs and improve the economy. Why should they be penalised? It's not as if the tax raises very much.
As for Ed Milliband. I don't see how they can win the next election with him in charge, he's so hopeless.
And what exactly are Labour's policies? Search me, I haven't heard of one for a few years...
God help us if Clegg and Milliband are in control together after the election. Don't bother trying to make any money as they'll take most of it and then waste the proceeds.
These drunk tanks seem a good idea.
But better A and E has a separate room for drunks. And they have to pay £200 for any treatment.
After all why should families etc have to put up with fighting drunks?
If you're injured yourself because you're drunk or on drugs then you gotta pay - and be separated from the sober.
Nice end to "What Remains" which was a cracking whodunnit. Good work!
If you haven't come across "Hard" yet on Sky Arts, give it a try, a cracking comedy, maybe you can get a box set of it.
OMG. Duncan Bannatyne came up with an offer on Dragons Den. Well I guess he had to make one in the whole series.
But yet again there is barely one offer a show, so in the whole series it looks like between them just 6 offers barely £50k each.
So either there are no good ideas left or they just want to do the show to be on the telly.
I'm sure we're all looking forwards to Deborah Meaden's first dance on Strictly.
What's the betting the judges say "You're Out"?
Celeb BB was a disappointment, full of blandies - Carol McGiffin did her best to liven it up but it wasn't enough. They are struggling now to get anyone interesting in as if you have a half a brain you would be crazy to do it.
So let's talk about whether women should be allowed to wear the veil or not..
Actually maybe not. I think I'll just draw a veil over the whole thing.
Via this link Open a Sporting Index account and there's a £100cash offer - please check terms and conditions which apply.

Do remember if you do bet you ought to treat sports spreadbetting as entertainment - and expect to lose! Also with spreadbetting work out what your max loss could be and make sure you can afford it! In other words if you say backed the favourite at 15 for a fiver and they come nowhere your max loss is £75.

"For throwing your heart, soul and energy into one fact-packed, full-on and exhaustingly educational day: FIVE stars with no hesitation!!
Met some really nice people too - like me, nervous that it was the most we'd ever spent on a whole day of anything (had we made arses of ourselves?) But no one felt short-changed, especially when you were still going strong when we all wanted to go to bed! One of your delegates, Susan, back for a second time, said to me unequivocally, "you will go away absolutely inspired." I can't disagree.
Thanks Gary, hope you make some money!
Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.
The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.
I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!
Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!
Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !
Thanks Gabriel!
Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.
I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites
saying how great an event was. Now I'm one of those people!. I
genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance
Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!
Stephen writes:
I read your book and did the course - and I wasn't sure if I'd recoup the cost, it's been 2 years and I've made £38k + saved a loss transferring a Jupiter ISA heavily invested in BP. I can't tell you how important this is or how grateful I am. That's just me, who knows how much people have made with your help and saved by not making mistakes. I wanted to get into shares as they recovered after the crunch, but I assumed I had to put a large amount in one company I thought would make a big jump.
But what happens when you make £1m on the website, will you still do courses? I don't know how you do your ISA and SIPP investments, write the website, books, courses and answer e-mails. But please don't give it up. Couldn't you do the courses and have a standing website which gets updated with your trades say once a month so people can see what you do..
Stephen thanks so much for such a nice mail and much appreciated! Dunno about the future, I feel like I'm getting jaded. It's possible I might just reduce it all at some point to twice a month after going weekly - that would probably help. The other problem is other people's angst is getting to me and the email workload becoming overwhelming. I think after ten years it might be time for me to quit. Anyway good luck with your trades and hope you make a lot more.
I have 3 great offers from ADVFN.
ADVFN level 2 offer
First great deal: If you want level 2, through me it is only £350 for your first year including VAT!
This compares to £473 direct from advfn inc vat so this deal saves you over a whopping £120! ADVFN level 2 also includes all the live trades made through Plus Markets which I find invaluable.
To accept this great deal just e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Level 2 offer" in the subject line and I will tell you how to get it. Level 2 gives you access to all the market maker positions and the order book and I would not trade without it!
More on level 2 in my book and I spend hours on it at my seminars. So if you get level 2 and want to learn how to use it properly live, book my seminar!
ADVFN Bronze Offer
To take up the offer, e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with Bronze in the subject line and I will tell you how to claim the deal.
Bronze is included inside the level 2 deal.
Advfn Silver Exclusive Offer
The deal is via me you can save nearly £30 for your first year by paying just £145 inc vat via me instead of £173.71
Just mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com if you'd like this deal with "silver" in the subject line.
Irish Offer
I hear a lot from Irish readers who struggle to get an account open with a UK spreadbet firm, so I would recommend this Irish spreadbet company which you should be able to join with no bother on this link:
http://www.shelbournemarkets.ie/
Selftrade Offer
All online deals are just £12.50 with no funny small print. Charges for phone deals are higher, check terms and conditions. They charge £8.75 plus vat per quarter if you don't make a trade. If you make one trade per quarter there is no charge. Follow this link...

Markets
Markets
After all I don't really care now if it tanks a bit so I missed out on a bit of profit. I'd rather try and continue to run the winners for now.
Let's face it commentators and punters have been gloomy about the markets for months and forecast meltdown but in fact there has been tons of money to be made.
I think people make a big mistake in forecasting where they think it is going. Remember when you see some smart suit on TV pontificating on markets they are just bulls***** .
Same with journalists and market commentators who have to fill space.
Right, hmmm, well still trying to catch up trades from over the holidays plus new ones made in the last week or so, I'll give precedence to the new ones and try and wrap absolutely the lot up by next week.
Problem is it is quite a long list so some for time/effort thing I'll keep to myself.
Let's mainly deal with newer trades made/spotted done around last week's seminar.
It always astounds me how many interesting new ones I find at seminars but then I think it isn't surprising.
After all at home I'm lazy. But at a seminar people are paying me and I spend nearly 12 hours looking at shares, so obviously things are going to come up I would never have unearthed at home as I'd be too busy watching an old episode of the Sopranos or Deal or No Deal....
And in this seminar lots of good things appeared.
So here are some buys, mainly the ones I bought in the last few days/this week/at the seminar.
(If you missed this one, next is October 18th, another day of live markets with me and hopefully some live trades suitable for beginners and improvers, mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Oct interested" in the subject line.)
BUYS
After making some decent money banked on Communisis (CMS) I have bought back for a new trade buying live at the seminar 10,000 shares at 57.
Level 2 looked strong for a decent re-entry price. I think there is 20% upside at least from there and possibly more longer term. It spiked up to near 70 on a contract win which is where me and others sold, at under 60p looks a steal.
Though I'm looking for around 70p I might well consider tucking CMS away for the long term.
As you know I don't deal much in oil shares as on the whole I think it's a mug's game and unless you get more lucky breaks than most you'll never make any meaningful money dealing in small cap oils.
Small cap oil punters always hope they will pull it off but I have met hundreds of oil punters who have lost money and I can't think of one that made anything decent out of them.
However I covered this one at the seminar and I took a stake in Caracal Energy (CRCL) and got 2,000 at 439.
Looks promising and it has an agreement with Glencore, and if the share price goes up a bit it could get into the FTSE 250 in December attracting the interest of fund managers.
Speculative of course but I think the risk-reward ratio looks good and in any case this and Coastal make it my only two oilers.
Yet another very good looking one that came up late on at the seminar was SQS (SQS) which I bought as soon as I could the day after the seminar at 435.
Very nice chart and rising profits and good prospects make this my kinda share and I'd be looking from some nice upside from here given they still look cheap even after recent rises.
Halfords (HFD) came up at the seminar late on - this looks a great short. After all, its statements aren't great, customer service is hopeless and even better it always runs out of steam at 410 to retreat to 350.
So I shorted it at 409, aiming for it to fall to 350 - maybe even hold for longer for a possible fall to 300, but 350 will probably do me.
Such an easy short because, well if it went above 415 I'd come out with a small loss, but at 350 there is a lovely profit. Great risk reward ratio.
Big cap CSR looks to have more steam in it and bought at 524.8 for a runup to 600. Though it hasn't done much yet. I'd quit if it fell much below 510.
I like the look of new issue Keywords Studios (KWS) in at 155.9 - under the radar right now but big upside to come in time I think. Its testing market for computer games looks huge.
KWS I reckon is one of those shares no-one has noticed - I bet once it announces any new contracts the market will take notice and shares will shoot up. Potential long-termer. Obvious risks too of course.
I'm back in Parity (PTY) - made a nice amount on these earlier this year and with excellent prospects I've bought a few at a tad over 30.
Parity has such potential: it's moving from old boring areas into new areas such as 3D and I like companies in transition like this. OK, they may not pull it off but if they do we could be looking at double the current price.
Kentz bid is off for now but it seemed a good time for a top up this time with a spreadbet at 481. Lucky I sold half recently but probably will get back to bid levels soon.
As those of you who came to the seminar know I shorted punter fave Gulf Keystone on the good news and bought back live at the seminar to bank nearly £500 quicktime.
SELLS AND TOPSLICES/SELLS AND REBUYS ETC
Here are some more sells made recently and over the summer and a few topslices and reentries.
Partnership went in my cull of insurance cos I'd bought for a profit of £1,211. I sold Microgen at 153.7 for a profit of £1,035 and bought back at 129.
I topsliced some more Dia at 1336.08 and 1220.8 - contracts have been delayed, probably still fine longer-term but given my big holding it seemed sensible to sell off some more. Profits are £16,556. That's over half the original stake gone now.
PVR was topsliced at 277.45 for profits of £2,873. I bought those shares back at 231.50 after a strange dip, its statement this week was pretty confident and it should head back higher. Latchways easily passed the target and went at 1318.8 for a profit of £1,369.
SB in Dart went at 250 for a profit of £2,025, a no brainer profit take though actually it did go a few points higher than that.
Total profits banked for this update is: £25,069
There are probably one or two more things to wrap up but tired now and will look through and see if there are any others to conclude next week.
ELSEWHERE...
Wow is all I can say as the portfolio heads ever upwards...
Recent buys go well and trend higher especially for Al Noor which though volatile trends gradually upwards and proving a nice winner already.
Monitise has quickly bust way higher and looks a lovely trade - very volatile as the market tries to shake out buyers.
Spreadbets Vesuvius and ITV both motor well.
Cohort dipped a bit today, looked like a bit of strange panic selling or profit taking but the report looked fine to me especially longer-term so sticking with it myself.
The future continues to looks very bright for Vectura (VEC) and looks like it might not be long now till I doubled up on the first buy. Massive profits now.
Nichols continues to fizz gradually higher ...Just a matter of time before it gets taken out with Britivic or AG Barr possible bidders.
Entertainment One, another double continues up as does Avon Rubber, still bounces higher!
Oh and also Dignity which I forgot to put on the site but those of you who've been to seminars know has been a lovely buy from 900 to nearly 1400 for me.
Hellerman Tyton which had a very decent statement last week. The first lot bought when it listed around 195 are doing nicely so far as it pushes 250 and Sepura has put in a blinder.
GB continues to push up and this one has more or less become a doubler for me. Trying to cruise through 115 today.
Oil play Coastal where I've doubled and a half looks like it could be bid for again according to newspaper reports. I'm sure it will happen at some point.
Lots of other stuff in the portfolio goes well and there is hardly an open loss in sight.
All in all profits have continued to boom and I'm extremely happy though with a cautious eye out to take more profits should the market fall.
I've been testing out a new spreadbet firm over the last year. I just won't recommend anything unless I have really tested it over a long time and now happy to endorse it especially for any bets on indicies as the spread is only 0.8 on stuff like the FTSE.
Also they don't seem to do any messing about in stopping winning trades from being executed which has been known with a few of the firms which I totally refuse to endorse.
Execution of trades have been spot on as has account management and a robust system too. I really can't find fault with it.

If you start using them and find any problems please let me know.
I've been getting e-mails regarding my use of direct market access and who I use. I've tried a few and for me the easiest system for me is here:
http://www.ig.com/nakedtradercfds
Direct market access means you can place orders directly onto the order book bypassing brokers and market-makers with a chance to buy at the "sell" price. I would suggest you ensure you know what you're doing first but IG does provide much education with its "tradesense" educational tool which comes with it.
I also use its spreadbetting service too along with other firms like Tradefair because it now provides trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.

As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

I still get paid EVERY MONTH for sales I made back in 1999! Every time a customer uses broadband or the phone or switches on a light you get paid.
It's a great business and backed by a stock market company (Telecom Plus), a dedicated team of advisors.. and me to help you on your way!
Not only do you get paid out every month for each customer you can take on distributors. encourage them like I do and get paid on their sales as well.
One day, say you could made redundant, needed a year off or wanted to retire early can you imagine what joy it is to have the regular income coming in. It's wonderful.
You have to work at it, but if you do genuine repeat wealth could be yours. I did it. You can too. For full details, why not email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com.
An overview is also available at http://www.utilitywarehouse.org.uk/fabdeal you can sign up directly there but do tell me! (Click become a distributor and follow links)

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets
on wednesday afternoons.
