Plus how to use spreadbetting for further profits. Also psychology, websites to use, when to buy and when not with live examples, building portfolios and tons more, no experience necessary and no question too stupid! And chat to me direct. Also chatroom all day. For more details, costs etc email at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Jan seminar interested"
NEW: Spreadbetting Seminar Feb 9th
Done a couple of these online and one at the hotel and really enjoyed them.
This for both total beginners to spreadbetting and improvers or those who want to do more spreadbetting after perhaps having dabbled. I will try and teach all I've learned over the 22 years I have been spreadbetting. I love it and bought a house from mainly SB profits!
Covered: How to do it, staking, margins, the pitfalls, the firms and their strengths and weaknesses, index trading, range trades. How to use Sb like an isa. How to short and make money from bad shares and or a market crash. Also sb bosses will take questions live. And we will try and do one or two trade ideas live. I would expect you to be aware of how to invest already - the idea is this adds an extra new tool. Not covered: Crypto, forex, day trading.
If interested mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "spreadbetting interested" in the subject line.
FOLLOW UP March 9th
Only for those who're been to a seminar before. Lots of live trading, your picks, supply and demand, share screening, spreadbetting and general discussions based on whatever is happening in the market at the time. And join some very experienced investors with their views/thoughts.
Mail me with "follow up interested" in the subject line.
If you would like to go to two or all of the above you could try and get a discount with Elizabeth!
Entertainment, fun and shares discussed with me on podcast NT5 - tune in

The website/email takes its usual new year break and I'll be back with regular updates here again from Jan 13.
Thanks to covid it's another festive season in the UK.
I'll miss the usual xmas in Dubai - the sun, the warmth, the light, the lobster rolls on Xmas day. It just didn't seem worth the hassle of testing, masks and the rest of it and anyway the back isn't up to it yet.
A busy couple of weeks with two online seminars, great to chat to some of you beginners. We had an opera singer who gave us a lovely burst of live opera!
It was also great so see so many regulars at the follow up, some of you I have known for more than ten years and you all have done so well in that time.
It was a shame to do them online but for now it is the only way. Those of you who came to the beginners hopefully you all have the notes. Thanks also for all the lovely feedback, we got through a lot at both seminars with also some nice trade ideas.
See some of you on Jan 19th for beginners/improvers, Feb 9th for Spreadbetting and March 9th for follow up.
The Z3 has gone to a retirement home for classic cars on farmland somewhere or other.
The chap came to have a look and I wondered whether he would try and beat me down from the £1,000.
Nope, he took one look and said he loved it. Phew. Or maybe I should have asked more? But, look no mot, tax, and some scratches on it, took a lot of hassle away from me.
He seemed happy the electric roof still worked as did the CD player. Anyone remember CD's? Looks like the last one I bought was "Now That's What I Call A Party 2019".
He's going to do it up (the car not the cd) and send me a pic when done. What happens after that? He will probably keep it. Hey you never know one day I'll buy it back.
Quite a few memories go with it, but in the end I mainly used it to drive to the seminar hotel where it was much admired by Eddie who helped me ensure the days went well.
Very lucky here to have three brilliant independent food places close by. The French deli is doing amazing breakfasts, we just had a great eggs benedict there. Actually everything they do is great led by the hard working boss. Who is actually French.
Then there is the Italian deli on the river, a bike ride away with super coffee and food cooked by the owner's mum.
Though you have to be careful if you bitch about anything as the kitchen window is close to the outside tables and they can hear you!
It's a lovely spot in a secluded lane - you could almost be in Italy.
And there is the grill house which I've been working with to improve its marketing, we have done some leaflets for them to put out in January. We literally do not want them to go bust.
Not only are the burgers amazing with meat from the posh butcher but also other great food and roasts.
We are starting to wonder whether it's worth cooking at home at all as between the three of them we could easily live from their cooking.
This last few days we had salmon with sun dried toms, a super chicken dish, brocolli bean salad, fish and chips and an amazing roast. Oh and a great chicken salad from the French bloke.
I was pretty shocked to learn Deliveroo charges the grill house a massive 35% for each order to deliver.
The grill house and I gather other places often take the deliveroo app off line because it simply isn't economic to give away 35%.
It might be just about viable for burger but not for a high quality meal.
These independents offer great food from the heart with much better ingredients than the chains which cut all costs to the bone. Support them ! And boo and down with Deliveroo.
Had an email reminding me it's 30 years in 2022 since Oracle Teletext where I worked lost its franchise. A lot of skulduggery about that, I heard.
Reader Bryan says "How's about a reunion?" He proudly still has an Oracle car sticker and loved all the graphics and has recordings of some of the old pages including the last day of the text soap I wrote "Park Avenue".
Well, dunno Bryan. I don't think anyone who worked there would probably read this site
but if you worked there and fancy a reunion later next year let me know. I guess we could throw the invite open to Sky Text/CNN Text people too. Yes. Find out if people you worked with years ago have aged better or worse than you did! If anyone mails me Bryan you get an invite.
I idly had a look and see some reviews of NT 5. Lucky most of them are 5 star which is nice but of course as an author you can't help but look at the bad ones. I don't mind if someone genuinely thinks it is crap or thinks my way stinks. It's the odd one that is totally unfair.
The last bad one brought me out in hysterical laughter. The reviewer actually thought the "coffee stain" on the back jacket which of course is part of the tea and toast artwork was real!
He actually thought the book had been sent out with an actual stain on it.
I mean, how thick can this guy be? I hope he doesn't start trading as he will definitely lose. I can't even point out his stupidity as amazon doesn't allow comments anymore.
Still it's not as funny as this review from a few years back. "This book is sh1t - well, ok I haven't actually read it but it looks like it is sh1t".
Thanks a lot for recent online seminar feedback!
.. Such as this from Phil:
"The seminar was delivered with huge integrity (there was Zero hidden agenda/ulterior motives, it was simple and open with some great laughs thrown in)
As much as I found myself trying to complicate the process and make it more sophisticated in my own tiny brain.
You brought it back to, Keep Things Simple. Do Your Own Research. Trade without emotion and above all, trade the market you find"¦ not what you or some pundit thinks it should be.
You also took the time to answer "every" question anyone posed. And it was every question.
Loads of shares ideas to boot, but more importantly the process to find your own.
Brilliant!
Big thanks also Elizabeth, you made the whole process seamless and free flowing; and kept the attendees and Robbie on course."
Thanks Andrew - we have got rather experienced at running them on zoom now!
Claire mailed me with some feedback on the seminar which she attended.
"Thanks for a fantastic seminar, I learned a lot and got every question I could think of answered. I think the most beneficial thing to me was just seeing with my own eyes how you go through the process of picking shares to buy and witnessing your thought process as you go through and also being able to ask questions as they arise. The system you and Elizabeth have for answering all the questions is fabulous & means you depart the maximum amount of information that is humanly possible in one day! The next day I just wished I was doing the course again instead of going back to work as it seemed dull in comparison."
Thanks Claire! It was a lovely group with a great sense of humour.
Jas, thanks for your mail as you've been to two zoom seminars.
"Just wanted to say thank you for a couple of wonderful seminars.
Your seminars were brilliant. Delivered methodically and with just a simple honest approach to dealing with the markets. You've helped me immensely in sorting my trading plan out and finding a good and profitable way to trade. After many months trying to figure out level 2, you sorted that out in one afternoon.
Since the seminar, I have placed 5 trades, 2 have closed out with profits and 3 are still running with profits. All trades placed using fundamental research and not Youtube videos
from David:
"Well it doesn't happen often, but I am absolutely speechless! I don't think I have ever spent a more worthwhile day nor spent money more wisely and gladly.
I for one was practically at the point of orgasm all day in my enjoyment and appreciation of what you were presenting! Even though I have read NT time and again, to see you going through the process of stock assessment over and over was incalculably useful and I managed to take six A4 pages of notes during the day. I was fascinated to learn about (and see) Level 2 in action and learn more about Spread "˜Betting'.
I thought the presentation balance was perfection, and Elizabeth was a complete star with her very well-judged handling of the questions....
.....This is a rather long-winded way of saying thank you so much to both of you - today was one of the top five most enjoyable days of my life, and I greatly look forward to joining you again!"
Naked Rambling
I had fixed to go for a night of floodlit racing at Kempton Park with some friends but thinking of cancelling.
Why? Covid passports, masks and to top it all you can only use cash with the oncourse
bookies.
All the fun of racing was taking a wad of cash and see if you could end the day with more than you started.
If you have a nice win who wants a debit card refund? You want the cash!! Well done Kempton for no reason for taking the fun out of racing.
We all know you can't get covid from a banknote it is a pathetic excuse to try and do away with cash. Who doesn't like getting a banknote as a gift in a card? Who wants a boring bank transfer instead, it isn't the same. Let's take the fun out of everything.
Those of you who think it is a great idea to get rid of cash just wait till they decide on "Negative interest rates" to "help pay for the NHS".
Once cash is gone Governments will be able to take any money off you they want. It has already happened in China. Think it won't happen here once notes are gone?
I think all outlets should be forced to take cash. It is supposed to be legal tender!
Time for all the decent TV shows to finish and be replaced by tedious Xmas specials filmed in June. Oh well.
And Just Like That (***) Sky Comedy
The Sex and the City girls return after 18 years. I was expecting it to be complete sh1t taking into account the awful movies. It wasn't too bad, except not sure about the comedy, so far it seems more about 50 plus women facing up to their age. Episode 2 is literally a funeral. Without Samantha its teeth seem withdrawn.
The first episode is what caused Pelatron's 15% stock market slide when Big dies after a Pelatron session! Anyway kind of ho hum so far, the mrs and her friends love it so the female persepective on it is very positive.
Witch Hunt (****) All 4 - Walter Presents
A new Scandi drama featuring the Norwegian financial authority versus a megabad billionaire and a dodgy law firm that supports him.
Very nicely done and moreish, hard not to watch it all quickly. What's great is you never saw any of the actors before so you're not going "Oh it's her off Line of Duty". I recommend this highly, the baddies are excellent, well done all round.
Wheel of Time (**) Amazon
A big disappointment from this supposed rival to Game of Thrones. Where GOT was all out entertainment and no holds barred with sex, violence, incest, well anything went this is the bland dr who version.
I guess this is where we are headed, all right on. A sanitised amazoned GOT, Rosamund Pike looks like she is going through the motions to grab a fat cheque. The monsters are deeply boring, not a patch on the Night King and his crew. Indeed I kept hoping one of them would rip one of the tedious right on leads to shreds. Ain't going to happen.
Succession (*****) Atlantic
The superior drama ends tonight so not seen the finale yet. The sad 40th birthday party for Kendall was brilliant.
A sad ending as he realises that no matter how many billions he has, the party simply revealed his depression and that indeed, he is a sad bstard. No doubt, money and power doesn't necessarily make you happy.
Curb Your Enthusiasm (*****) Sky Comedy
Great line from Tracey Ullman who did a nice cameo role this week - "I don't need to go to a book club to read books."
Yellowjackets (****) Sky Atlantic
Very promising thriller based on two different timelines with a female soccer team's plane crashing leading to time spent trying to survive. We also follow the aftermath a few years later with plenty of secrets to be uncovered. Throw in a touch of the supernatural and it looks like a winner.
I took part in Whamageddon which is a game which players try to go from December 1 to the start of Christmas Eve without hearing "Last Christmas" by Wham!
I was doing really well - it was December 7th and a lot of friends had already been knocked out. I had carefully avoided all music radio stations and any media where I thought it might come up.
So there I was in the kitchen smugly drinking tea thinking I could get to the 24th without hearing last Xmas. The Mrs was in there too doing the thing everyone does, flicking though instagram and other stuff on her phone.
I was just about to leave the kitchen then guess what? Last fecking Xmas came blaring out on the Mrs phone. Some effing arse had used the song in the background to some tedious short video.
Knocked out, day 7. Will learn from this mistake next year. Good luck if you are taking part in whamageddon and are still in.
Perhaps a January game could be how long can you last without someone advancing on you holding their phone wanting you to watch a "hilarious" video.
More in the series: Statements you really don't want to see or hear.
(If you have one of these let me know)
"And now here's Wham and Last Christmas..."
"Here they are back again the Sex and the City girls.."
"Your username or password are not recognised. Please try again."
"Your call is important to us but we are busy and you are 89th in the queue."
"The next James Bond could be non binary".
A new study shows taking Viagra can cut the risk of dementia.
"What! You're taking Viagra?"
"Yes, darling but purely for medical reasons."
..."Right I must go and lie down, I am feeling really stiff."
Apparently the first quiz question in Boris' zoom quiz was:
"When people get together for a Xmas drink and festivities is it known as a:
A. Gathering.
B. Party.
C. Piss up.
D. Brewery.

COPYING TRADES: I can't stop you from copying a trade I made but remember the price may already be a lot higher than I paid indeed I hope it is as buying at good prices is what I do for a living. You may be buying at the top and could easily lose money. Also I can make terrible mistakes and have done in the past. I could also sell before you or before the share tanks. I may still be holding in a year when you sold at a loss. Always do your own research, don't jump in blindly. Market makers are very clever at knowing how to make you pay top dollar and then push you out at a loss. This site is about sensible investment and learning how to trade sensibly and is not a tipping site. Beware. Never push buy on anything till you've done proper research and got yourself a sensible price.

Markets updates resume Jan 13th
Hey we made it to near the end of the year! How did you do? There have been decent chances to make money in 2021 and I met a few of you at the online seminars who have had a good year.
Me? Not bad at all. I'd have done better if I'd just sold everything back end of October but, well can't complain.
All the accounts are a lot higher than the start of the year. They were higher though in October than they are now but still decent.
I totally understand when I say I made decent amounts this year it's annoying if you had a bad time. There is nothing worse than a smug git like me wanging on about gains. But remember I did lose some of the paper gains recently! Glad I did sell quite lot in October and November though.
The majority of the nice gains for 2021 came from bids, mostly from shares I held in the FTSE 250.
Indeed this year I hold a lot less small caps and a lot more mid caps. With the (I know I am lucky) the large amounts I have the small caps just aren't liquid enough anymore. And I am not brave enough to hold a large amount of one because if the sh1t hits the fan they can be impossible to sell. And I just don't want to hold onto something for years just to try and get my money back.
Loads of bids for me then, many of them pushing up a share by 40/50pc or more,
Bids came for Codemasters, Spire, Sumo, Ultra Electronics, Gamesys, Vectura, among others.
Worst trades - An average up in Avon cost me over a grand as did an ill advised leaps into two tiddlers TP and Ince.
Not that they matter, one or two hits can be taken as long as there are a few big winners.
The biggest closed trades for the website included Morgan Sindall and ITV both close to 6k. Lucedo racked up giant profits of over 10k. Spire knocked up around 8k, Codemasters nearly 8k , Rbg nearly 10k.
My shorts have done really well. I am making massive gains on what I consider to be the crappest shares (for now) on the market, namely Trainline, Aston Martin, Superdry, Boo Hoo, Wise , Games Workshop . All vastly overrated when I shorted them and I had no idea why anyone would want to be in them this year.
Looking forwards to 2022 I do wonder about a big crash in the US. I don't think it would be so bad here.
That's because some of the valuations in the states really appear bonkers. You could have a crash push all of the down 30pc and they could still look pricey.
In the good old UK though valuations seem pretty reasonable. I could imagine the Dow and S and P getting hit for thousands of points. though. So in the back of my mind I am wondering about Dow shorts next year - however it is so volatile I would need some luck. And I wouldn't let any shorts get out of hand.
Actually I hold shorts in some the worst US stocks and made a decent amount so far including Uber and RobinHood.
Of course I have no clue really, no-one does. Markets could equally go up and I keep an open mind and try to kind of follow it. If anyone tells you they know what will happen they are definitely bulshitng you.
Plans for 2022? Definitely more shorting. I find it easier to find crap shares than good ones at the mo and there are giant profits to be made from shorting the overvalued.
I'll continue the move away from small ones into medium caps and probably do a little more medium term range trading with spreadbetting.
Meanwhile it is around this week we get a santa rally. Perhaps the back end of the week?
You have to watch out because markets can do a sudden leap down before a rally kicks in.
No-one is ever really sure why it happens but it works most years though it didn't in 2019. Worked 7 years in a row before that. But it does mean there is a risk involved and it could not happen.
It might depend on the alarming sounding Omicron. Can it be defeated? Will the new boosters satisfy the markets enough to give us the Xmas rally?
If you want to try the Xmas rally there is loads on this is my Naked Trader Guide to Spreadbetting Edition 2, Amazon has it for next day delivery.
Look at all the worked examples there on how to take part using spreadbetting. Next day delivery right now. It is fairly simple to do a santa rally spreadbet on the ftse or dow, but please make sure you understand the exact risk.
Even a small bet could get you a big loss.
My favourite firm for a Xmas rally is spreadco as it has the cheapest ftse spread at only 0.8.
It is also extremely easy to use. Use this link to go on Akeel's list, he is ever so helpful and you can get in touch with him if anything goes wrong.
https://www.spreadco.com/nakedtrader
Spreadco also still pays 2pc interest on free cash up to 20k monthly.
Please check the examples in the santa rally section of my Naked Trader spreadbetting book (it must be edition 2) before getting involved! Make sure staking is correct and you have a stop in place! Good luck if you do it.
Right then - two online seminars and a ton of trade ideas and share buys and shorts came up.
There were way too many ideas and buys and shorts then frankly I can be arsed to cover here. After all every share I mention goes into the table then I have to remember when I sell it or if it is on the website. Yes, exactly, lazy. Quite. But I'm the boss so there.
First off winner of share of the day in the voting system in the follow up seminar went to.... drumroll.... Finsbury Food Group (FIF).
ok, I know you want something exciting like Cryptoconponzischemeoilandresourcepennycrap.
Sorry about that. This one is a real company making actual profits with real things that people buy.
In our discussions those in the food industry reckon they can pass on inflation busting rises quite easily. It makes breads and cakes, all the naughty stuff.
Brands are decent including Disney, Cranks, weightwatchers, Vogel's. Shares look cheap and in the event of a crash should be defensive and a nice near 3% dividend to boot. Nice isa tuckaway!
Next up? The share brought up by four attendees at the follow up was Vertu Motors (VTU)
Two reasons. First second hand motors are getting great prices because of the lack of new ones coming along. And second there are bids flying in for motor dealers.
So it's reasonably safe, profits are motoring up ... erm any other laboured car puns. Hope to get out before any brake on the share price but that should accelarate up and that's enough.
Today it announced it bought two Toyota dealerships from its own cash resources which is impressive. Whether making acquistions or getting bought itself it looks like a medium term tuck.
We discussed the spreadbetting firms - IG, CMC and Plus. All three have been hit by lack of volatility. But that is picking up right now, the more volatile the market, the more people do their brains on betting on indices and so the more they make.
We compared and contrasted and decided probably the one to go for is CMC on the basis it's the smallest with maybe the most growth to come after the heaviest falls. It is going to start doing normal trading like IG. We wondered whether there was a squeak of a chance of IG making a bid for CMC being the much larger co given they do pretty much the same. If I was IG a great time to snap up on the cheap.
Downside? Well the profits did tumble after a great covid bump. And maybe newer traders having got stung will not venture back. Still, CMCX seems the cheapest one to go for.
Something a bit different came up, a range trading share, XPP. As a medium term spreadbet it seems to roughly trade from 4700-5500 giving a huge number of available points. Looks too high at 55 and too cheap at 4700.
So I bought a few live at the seminar on a spreadbet as a shorter-term trading idea. These are the kind of ideas I'll be looking at during the live spreadbet seminar on Feb 9th.
If you get it right it can bring in some nice income, however there are pitfalls too which we'll discuss how to avoid.
A great short idea was provided by a delegate at the follow up - Pelatron the company that does the exercise bikes which everyone got into when stuck at home. I liked the idea and shorted and then talk about some luck!
In the new Sex and the City show, a main character dies after a Pelatron session.
To show how mad markets are, shares fell 15% after a character in the show dies after an intense Pelatron session! I mean, it was good for me as I was short but really? A made up character in a tv show which someone made up causes such a sell off! You have to laugh (unless you held the shares).
Another delegate came up with an interesting one at the follow up - Intuitive Heathcare over in the States.
Looking at the website what the company does is truly wonderful for surgeons developing all kinds of new tech to make surgeries less invasive and so less risky.
It's worth many billions already and is on a very high rating but you could wonder that it is justified given profits are booming and it has billions in cash.
Hard to see a reason why these profits would not continue and could be argued it could even be a defensive in a crash.
I re-looked at Aston Martin shares and despite falls and big profits for me they still look like a short! Stocko labels it a "sucker stock" and I agree.
It's not worth much more than a tenner so another 300 points or so to collect on the downside is my reckoning.
Same call with Trainline another sucker stock. I know I have been banging on how overvalued this share is - and again despite falls it is still overvalued.
Boo Hoo's shares keep falling and added to the short there. There is so much shorting and selling of these shares, you'd have to assume some kind of profits warning is on the way. I just noticed asos shares in the same sector have been badly hit - I only wish I had noticed asos shares before now, wow what a short that would have been. Even a small short there would have generated thousands. I guess the sector is just under the cosh for now.
I saw Clinigen's shares begin to race up so assumed something good must be coming and quickly bought some more. Indeed soon afterwards a bid was announced.
The market seems to think there will be a rival bid as the share price is currently well above the bid offered so far. So for right now holding on though it there is no competing bid soon I might bank some of the decent profits.
After making a ton shorting Bitcon previously have gone in again with a short. At some point this ponzi scheme will unravel. I'll go long Bitcon when I can buy a mint aero with it at Tescos. (I shorted with a spreadbet which for now is only open to registered professional traders.)
People have asked me if I can come up with dates more in advance for seminars so here we are:
Beginners/improvers starter seminar Jan 19th. Spreadbetting seminar Feb 9th. Follow up/advanced March 9th.
If you would like to join me for any of those email me, more details below or above.
I'm not sure it's a good idea to bank profits or losses in mid December as there is always a good chance of a big rally.
If there is, usually it's better to wait till the new year kicks in before taking action as the chances are losses taken will be less and profits taken more. So this time of the year I would generally rather pause with losers or winners and see if any rally can boost them.
Then this year we still have the virus problem which could cause a slump despite Santa. For the moment I have tried to keep hold of everything. I've just vaguely topsliced the odd share or two that I had a lot of.
A small topslice in Tep for a website profit of £648 and £1,750. What a performer, on top of the brilliant gains of the last few weeks there is the 5% dividend on top which hits bank accounts this week - and I get the usually yearly shareholder massive discount on the energy bills this month. Win, win all round. My massive stake outside the isa has put on over £100,000. I'm staying with the open website position which is now up around £5,000.
Telecom plus trades as Utilities Discount Warehouse and does gas, elec, phone, broadband, insurance, mobiles, sims on one monthly bill and offers very attractive rates.
As a distributor of 20 years if you would like to switch energy (especially if you on a crap deal after your provider went bust) let me know and will show you how, and if you do, you'll get my website email free!
Also stopsliced a tad of RMG, profit £ 577- a nice dividend payment on the way there as well as Tep's.
Tiddlers are a problem right now with bad volatility - Gatc let go with losses of
£1,178 and £958. Annoying because they now look ultra cheap. Would consider a buyback shortly as at some point soon there could be massive upside with any positive statement. Still the losses are tempered with the fact I made more than £8,000 on them on the way up. Just saw they are down today, very tempting to buy some back could be major upside from such low levels. The new buy finger is hovering over GATC!
I topsliced some D4t4 still a nice share but after results it may take a while fo further upside - profits of £8,324 and £1,050. Still keeping 1 position open for the site.
So with profits and losses taken that leaves a profit from all that of £10,213.
K3C in which I have a decent holding now had a trading statement today. The fundamentals look great and this is top of my bid target list for 2022 where I think it could be taken out with 50pc upside from here.
Management seems very decent at K3C and if they can keep up the good work it could have a lovely 2022.
Watches of Switzerland continues ticking up - a brilliant winner, how much further can it go?
So, tricky times in the market. Will there be a rally? Will covid screw it all up? Will there be a crash or will covid weaken leading to a monster rally?
No-one knows and least of all me. To some extent being in the markets at all at the moment is a gamble! Best thing maybe to balance up, have a few shorts and some cash on the side.
I will see you all back here on the other side in January to dissect what actually happened at the end of the year and see if 2022 may be ok. One way or another it is going to be interesting.
Have a lovely Xmas if possible in these uncertain conditions. Forget about shares and money because really, as long as you are playing with money you can really afford to lose, it matters not because people and fun matter, not money and possessions.
If you want a blast from the past try my 2019 Xmas podcast before all the virus trouble hit! Lots of share chat and Xmas fun, party bangers and a look at weddings and what you can't play at a wedding plus my fave Xmas tune!

Money Week offer:
Money Week is a decent magazine which I get as well as the IC.
Shares wise there are quite a few features every week including what a fund manager is buying, all the tips from the papers are covered including places like the Telegraph, Times, Mail, Shares Mag etc and also IPOs are covered.
There is also a decent property and travel section. Also coverage of topics like pension planning, tech, spending and current and future economics.
The kind of mag I enjoy reading in the bath and I always find something that makes me have a think, and that's quite hard for me..
On the link there is also a decent discount so it's around £28-£32 for 13 issues depending on whether the mag is sent to you by post or digital or both. Personally I like an old fashioned mag for bath reading!
So- if you want the free six weekly issues and a discount the link is here:
https://www.moneyweek.com/TNT
Do let me know if any probs with getting the discount or freebies.
Spreadco is still paying 2pc interest up to £20,000 free cash which I enjoy getting and as we saw at the seminar its spreads on ftse 350 shares and the ftse always seem to be tightest.

**NEW OFFER: Research tree discount offer: 20pc off.***
As most of you are aware I don't take ads or recommend anyone apart from the
couple of firms I use all the time and trust.
I could probably make millions from agreeing to deals offered by forex cos,
dodgy systems et all. They're all con merchants and I would never ever sleep
at night if I just took their money, so I don't much to their bewilderment! That's
why you don't see any ads on the website.
However I actually approached a company to suggest I recommend them as long
as they gave my lovely readers a decent discount and it agreed.
The site is called research-tree and I really can recommend it as it is a big
help and complements the brilliant stockopedia, the only other site I recommend.
It is very hard as an investor to get hold of brokers notes/recommendations, their
in depth research on companies. Either it is expensive or there are silly rules re who
can access them.
So this site has broker notes on companies, plenty of in depth research. You can find things such as pre-tax profit forecasts and the most shorted companies. There's an easy search facility and also a news feed.
So for example on the morning of a share result or statement you can get a broker report on that share, it is really useful! Broker reports are usually very in depth and I especially like being able to see a full year pre tax profit forecast which seems impossible to get elsewhere.
You can get a limited free account - for full access if you like it - click "upgrade" and there is a 20 per cent discount if you type nakedtrader into the discount code box.
The address is research-tree.com - for the discount remember the code nakedtrader after you ask to upgrade. If you upgrade let me know if the upgrade thing works well and is easy or if you encountered any probs getting the 20pc off.
For small caps try http://www.spreadex.com/nakedtrader. Spreadex say for the moment they will carry on with most of the shares so that could be another place to deal in shares IG won't.
Trades made for my sipp are exclusively available on my
email service (this is the website stuff plus exclusive trades mailed
to you earlier on update days). For subscription details mail me
with "email interested"

as their spread is the tightest at 0.8. Also very pleased with execution - FTSE cos the cheapest spreads there too.
It is hard to find a firm that does prices on the very small companies but this company does: https://www.spreadex.com/nakedtrader

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets every other Thursday afternoon.
