**Spend A Day With Me Next Week On Oct 18Th***

My next seminar is Friday October 18th near Heathrow.

If you want details on how to spend a day with me and live markets next month email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "October seminar interested" in the subject line and I'll send you details, more details below too.

NEW: Next follow up is October 4th for those who have already been to a seminar (we start where we left off and do timing, level 2, research all using my accounts with live markets) email me with "follow up interested" for details.

*****

I'm back!! First to say look forwards to meeting all of you coming to the Sept 13th seminar.. you should all have venue details by now, if you haven't let me know and thanks to all of you who filled out your questionaires, very helpful.

Let me remind you of what I said in my last update in June:

"We are in for a decade of lousy wet summers, says the Met Office.

Fantastic news! They always get it wrong so there is little doubt we're going to get ten years of sensational sizzlers. Getting my flip flops out already."

See? Told ya! So another nine years of sizzlers to come!

Oh what a great summer that was both here and abroad. We're only just back from France and Spain and to be frank I'm sitting here feeling lazy and jetlagged.

In fact just a week ago and through most of the summer I thought I was going to write "really sorry but I'm not updating the website anymore."

Just say you're tired of updating this site every week, I told myself. Or just say I need more of a break, I'll be back next year. Then I can slob out on the sofa instead of writing this.

And yet.... here I am. I think I know why. I know once I'm sitting here writing this I'll end up enjoying it. Some kind of weird therapy. Thanks for listening. I also think it keeps me disciplined. I hardly dare look at the email inbox. It's going to take a while to clear it so please be patient, see FAQ up above in case the answer you seek is there.

Well, anyway the highlights are too many to mention. And on top of that I made an absolute fortune on the markets without having to hardly lift a finger as nearly everything I own shot up. A real bonus!

We had a great time in rural France, then Spain briefly coming back to the UK in between to catch up on things.

One highlight was being at Wimbledon on finals day and though we didn't have seats to centre court, just number one court the atmosphere was electric.

We did see the U 18's final which was pretty good.

Then we watched the Murray win on a huge screen on court 3 as Henman Hill was too packed.

We got all the atmosphere - just magical! It's a lovely place - well worth a visit if you can get there next year.

We kicked off our summer in France at a lovely chateau in the middle of nowhere. And we had a decent hire car and meandered around rural France.

I have to say people seem to revere French cuisine. Quite honestly on the whole we find it pretty poor and only had one really decent meal out.

The worst was at a restaurant where the lamb was so tough I couldn't cut it let alone eat it. Then some kind of stew underneath had been microwaved, part hot part cold. All this not good enough for 25 Euros.

So I didn't eat it and refused to pay. Cue an annoyed chef who I knew thought I was just a silly Anglais who couldn't handle rare lamb which I can.

I reckon it was badly defrosted. Anyway the chef and the boss were upset but they did take it off the bill and we made a run for it!

Then at a fair at the local village fell in to the trap of a "special menu" because of the fair. Ie, take the special menu or bog off.

We got a horrible plate of stew with some pasta. Revolting but just passable enough so I paid. I saw a vegetarian complaining so they just gave her the pasta and added a bowl of grated cheese!

However we did get one nice meal at a top notch place.. beautiful lobster in pastry.

Christopher is now into chart music which does bring the odd problem.

Of course French radio doesn't know the English bad words so they tend to play the bad versions of songs instead of the watered down ones.

So there we were listening to Icona Pop's "I Love it"

The watered down lyrics go "You're from the 70s but I'm a 90s chick"

The real lyrics as played in France go "I'm a 90s bitch"

Cue: "What's a bitch" Kids instinctively know bad words.

"A female dog" is the best reply we could come up with. He wasn't buying it. "So it's okay if I say bitch then..."

Also every song I like appears to have the word "sexy" in it he says.

And he's right. What can I do? I'm just too sexy for my shirt.

Coming back from the France trip we arrived at border control. Control man passed Mrs NT and Christopher but then he looked 2 or 3 times at my photo and frowned.

"Oh no," I thought. "What's up? Did I do something bad and forgot about it?

The chap looked back at me and said. "Are you the naked trader?"

Goodness me, that was funny. "Yes," I said. "How are your trades going?" I asked.

"Rubbish," he said.

I hastily departed.

Terry Wogan, the man himself was on our flight.

He appeared out of nowhere to get on the plane first and he had the front seat.

And when the flight landed, he disappeared, never to be seen again. Must be some kind of celebrity deal where they get taken care of I guess. He had the Monday wig on.

Spain came last and we went to the brilliant villas where there's a football court and Christopher can play footie all day. Plus water slides, a beach, table tennis, you name it it's there!

Nice to be able to self-cater but we ate out a lot. The cuisine in Spain I'm afraid proved much better than France the standout being a superb local Japanese!

We all had a fantastic time, Christopher enjoyed it so much he even kissed the villa as we left.

We don't bother to hire a car there, preferring to get the bus and see what goes on locally.

One night we took the bus into Marbella as Mrs NT has spotted a restaurant with glowing reviews on tripadvisor which did barbequed meat.

However we just couldn't find it so she asked a Spanish guy who was passing us.

Luckily he said he knew the restaurant and walked us there which we thought was very nice of him.

But when he arrived there it turns out it wasn't the restaurant we wanted.

And then the horror dawned on us. Mrs NT had actually asked him "Do you know a good meat restaurant" in Spanish as the restaurants's name was meat.

And he had actually replied along the lines of: "Sure, my mate owns a fab meat restaurant I'll take you there!"

It was all a bit embarrassing and we decided his friend's restaurant looked a bit ropey so we kind of backed away a bit red faced.

Our new friend realised what had happened too so big embarrassment all round and we never ended up finding it!

What else to say? Fantastic weather, great times, wish we were still there!

And now it is back to school. And I feel sorry for Christopher. He's a sporty kid and being trapped inside a classroom all day is horrible for him.

Hopefully he will get back in the swing of things. He started again with the first day this morning, I think it is a "warm up" day for the real start on Monday. At least there is loads of football games for him coming up. Including a team they beat 4-0 last time.

And he has a trial for Fulham FC next week (ssshhhh, don't tell anyone).

I look forwards to meeting some of you on Friday at the seminar.

Good news is the chef has promised to make us waffles with chocolate sauce fresh and live during the first break.... can't wait to eat th... I mean meet you all!

I really enjoy these days and meeting readers. Every one ends up being a bit different as it all depends on who is there and sometimes there are some very different roads we end up in.

Often seminars are also great for my trading as inevitably in all that time some shares come up that I might not otherwise have spotted and researched.

In the years I've been doing them I remember some fantastic ones popping on screens, the best one was the seminar where Mulberry kept appearing at 250... I remember buying the following Monday and although I sold out too early at 950 it was a tremendous profit. And the other really good one was Dialight that was 150 at the seminar and pushes 1200 now.

So selfishly hoping to discover something new myself! Those of you coming doors open 9.30am... follow the signs to Naked Trader..

Please remember I am paying for your parking but you MUST give your reg number in to reception or else you will get a parking ticket!

Please come and register from 9.30am and then find a seat - coffees will be there waiting for you and there is coffee and tea on tap all day. The chef promises me there will be great snacks and lunch! It better be good or there will be trouble.... I fancy fish and chips myself as one of the courses... we shall see!

Grab a coffee and some choc and just relax, I promise to be gentle with you all. I hope you all enjoy the day, as it's live from the markets who knows what will come up. And as you know I talk plain English with none of that idiotic jargon. See you there!
If you missed this one, the next seminar is on Friday October 18th at Heathrow.

Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com for details with "October seminar interested" in the subject line. There is a very decent early bird discount on offer right now.

Beginners and improvers welcome! Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch!

My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.

A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!

**Follow Ups**

Next follow up with me is October 4th for those who have already been to a seminar (we start where we left off and do timing, level 2, research all using my accounts with live markets) email me with "follow up interested" for details.

Naked Trader Seminar Latest News

**** BOOKING OPEN FOR OCTOBER 18TH*****
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on oct 18th

Price is £590 plus vat. (Early bird discount is on offer however)
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "April seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards! You might even get to see the amazing crocodile boots . . . .
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

Naked Rambling

The news passed me by over the summer. I hardly watched the TV news at all so just call me ill informed right now!

Though apparently we're just a small island that no-one pays any attention to.....

Can you believe how much Gareth Bale went for? £86 million? For someone who plays football? Surely this is crazy? Plus 300k a week?

It must be pure madness. I worked out £86m plus wages is the equivalent to ALL the ticket sales revenue made by our club Fulham for a whole season!

Indeed the premiere league has become silly now, and in fact it really is two separate leagues.

There's the six teams that can afford to spend the silly money, and all the others who can't.

So all the other teams really can't play for anything much apart from keeping their premiere league place. Not exactly a level playing field.

Of course all the crazy money means it makes it impossible to develop up and coming UK talent.

I see the tedious X -Factor has started up again: surely been there, done that, life is too short to waste time on it?

Well, last person I expected to see on S Come Dancing was Deborah Meaden.

Given she is a driven woman whose time is precious I'm surprised. But I can also see it's a great chance for her to do something different. Be interesting to see how she gets on.

Dragons Den continues on with Duncan as grumpy as ever and given his ex wife has taken a big lump from him, don't expect many offers this series! And bet you the only offers he makes will be turndownable.

Not sure Piers adds much - one thinks style over substance there maybe? He comes up with a few too many management-speak phrases.

Have you noticed that hardly any real money is offered these days except the occasional £50k which makes it look more and more like vanity projects for the dragons.

Still like The Americans though it's not as good as Homeland which returns soon.

And my favourite remains Four Rooms - a good lesson for share traders, how much are you prepared to pay for something? Worth a look Ch 4 Friday nights.

Missed a lot of Celeb BB as away on hols but seen a little - well, there aren't any real celebs in there, real celebs realise not to go near it.

Why is Carol doing it? Come on, how embarrassing in your 50s to take part in a TV show where for money you're ordered around like a puppet/muppett. It's not worth the money, dignity is more important.
Cliff Richard has just completed his 100th album

With 15 tracks on each one it must mean he has made 1,500 tracks.

So I have an idea: instead of filling up our prisons with minor criminals simply put them in jail for a week instead forcing them to listen to every single Cliff track. Say roughly 200 songs a day full time.

I guarantee you: these criminals will never reoffend again and taxpayers save a fortune especially if they reoffend next time they have to listen to every track made by Blue, Westlife and One Direction.

"Let me outta here, I promise I will never commit a crime ever again.. pleassseeeee"

Via this link Open a Sporting Index account and there's a £100cash offer - please check terms and conditions which apply.

http://www.sportingindex.com/?tpid=6755
Do remember if you do bet you ought to treat sports spreadbetting as entertainment - and expect to lose! Also with spreadbetting work out what your max loss could be and make sure you can afford it! In other words if you say backed the favourite at 15 for a fiver and they come nowhere your max loss is £75.

Naked Mail

Gary writes :
"For throwing your heart, soul and energy into one fact-packed, full-on and exhaustingly educational day: FIVE stars with no hesitation!!
Met some really nice people too - like me, nervous that it was the most we'd ever spent on a whole day of anything (had we made arses of ourselves?) But no one felt short-changed, especially when you were still going strong when we all wanted to go to bed! One of your delegates, Susan, back for a second time, said to me unequivocally, "you will go away absolutely inspired." I can't disagree.
Thanks Gary, hope you make some money!

Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.

The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.

I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!

Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!

Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !

Thanks Gabriel!

Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.

I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites
saying how great an event was. Now I'm one of those people!. I
genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance

Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!
Stephen writes:
I read your book and did the course - and I wasn't sure if I'd recoup the cost, it's been 2 years and I've made £38k + saved a loss transferring a Jupiter ISA heavily invested in BP. I can't tell you how important this is or how grateful I am. That's just me, who knows how much people have made with your help and saved by not making mistakes. I wanted to get into shares as they recovered after the crunch, but I assumed I had to put a large amount in one company I thought would make a big jump.
But what happens when you make £1m on the website, will you still do courses? I don't know how you do your ISA and SIPP investments, write the website, books, courses and answer e-mails. But please don't give it up. Couldn't you do the courses and have a standing website which gets updated with your trades say once a month so people can see what you do..

Stephen thanks so much for such a nice mail and much appreciated! Dunno about the future, I feel like I'm getting jaded. It's possible I might just reduce it all at some point to twice a month after going weekly - that would probably help. The other problem is other people's angst is getting to me and the email workload becoming overwhelming. I think after ten years it might be time for me to quit. Anyway good luck with your trades and hope you make a lot more.

Markets

**Please note next markets update is Wed Sept 18th. **

It's been a while since the last trading update hasn't it.

I really am amazed at how much I made over the summer without hardly having to do anything. The markets though have been very good over the summer.

September often is pretty bad, grumpy traders back from holidays don't help and many think a big fall is due.

I don't forecast or second guess it and will continue to just follow. Non farm payroll figures due at 1.30 our time today will cause a lot of volatility. The market doesn't seem to know if good figures are bad news because QE might stop or bad news could be good news in reality as QE will continue.

Good news is bad news? Bad news is good? The market is crazy. Always remember that! People are mainly crazy too so it's not surprising the market is as well.

The portfolio of shares continued to whizz higher with lots of good news on them and even one or two bids. Money has gushed into all the accounts and I used something like £250,000 of the profits to finish off the renovation of the house which we just moved into!

In fact I would like to thank the spreadbet firms in particular for sponsoring my new place!

I took my laptop away on holidays but lucky the market was kind and I spent a lot more time by the pool than by the laptop!

The biggest change since I last updated is the ability to put AIM shares into ISAs. This is generally good news for me. There are some excellent aim shares out there worth going for...

Of course there is heaps of rubbish too and one must remember AIM is lightly regulated and quite often a company that looks like it is going well suddenly comes up with something stinky.

So I think the main thing is to buy the good ones but to smaller stakes than main market listings. Also some of the bigger ones are just as good as main market, such as Asos.

As I am just back from holiday and looking at a big list of trades made over the last months I don't have the time or frankly energy right now to go through it all - so I'll do half the trades this time and finish off on the next update on Sept 18th.

So while I'm still awake after a late night flight back from Spain let me cover at least half the trades!

We talked about Al Noor (ANH) quite a lot at the June seminar - it's in a very "hot" sector, healthcare abroad - I had had some success with a similar share and with statements being very strong indeed bought quite a few at 575 and 578. Going well but considering holding this longer term for a potential near double up to a hopeful 1000. Al Noor looks like a very well run operation.

There is a bit of a problem trading it as the spread can get wide so it's a question of waiting to pounce on it when it shortens but best to deal in it using direct market access, I try to get it at the sell price if I can.

Vesuvius (VSVS) came up at the July seminar on a screen, I hadn't come across it before but liked the look of it and bought the following day - bought on a spreadbet at 415. Since the buy it has risen nicely but I think there is further to go so still holding. I reckon it could tip over 500, perhaps 530 in a good market.

I surprised myself by buying a FTSE share- ITV - on a spreadbet at 145. Results look strong and despite their show offerings looking tired the audience figures are strong and revenues coming in well.

As those of you who get the pension email know I've doubled my money on Monitise (MONI). However I bought some for the ISA once aim shares were allowed and got 15,000 at 44.4.

While on the fundamentals it doesn't look cheap the future looks so bright it is worth paying a premium for, and this week it announced a deal with IBM and I suspect within the next year or two someone will buy it. It's very volatile but I think with patience, it will pay off bigtime and I hope to double on this buy and four time my original sipp buying.

Recently I have bought two other AIM shares for the ISA now that I can.

First off is Cohort (CHRT) which I paid 176.4. It's an independent technology group which recently awarded an £11m contract by BAE Systems.

More contract wins should keep the share price buzzing higher, the chart looks fantastic as do the fundamentals which is why "I'm In".

And the other recent buy is a recent issue Conviviality (CVR) which cost me 139p.

This is a clever company which sells bargain booze across the north and this week it's put in a bid to buy Wine Rack.

There's plenty of mark up even in knockdown booze - booming profits here should result in a higher share price unless the management knocks away a bit too much of its own product..

Vectura deserves a mention - it has broken well higher on positive news on some of its drugs that are in the pipeline. Huge profits building here for me but way more to go for here I think.

The future looks very bright for Vectura (VEC) and I bought some more on a top up a few days ago. A doubler from here? Good chance!

Okay rest of the buys in the next update together with any buys or new shares discovered from my seminar on the 13th.

Now some of some the sells.

My patience with my massive positions in Kentz paid off big style! I'd always bought this with a bid in mind as I kept saying. Indeed I topped up with more getting some more at just over 390.

When two bids were announced I wasn't surprised, and the shares leapt higher.

The only question was whether to bank profits or wait for more - my solution usually is to bank some!

So that's what I did, I sold around half the shares and spreadbets. My average selling price was roughly around the 585 mark.

So for site purposes the last trade is closed for a profit of £3,150 and a spreadbet for a profit of £7,500 for a total profit of £10,650.

A bid also came in for Fiberweb which was taken at 93 for a profit of £1,128 though that is a bit higher now so possibly banked that slightly early.

Communisis announced a great contract but I sold at 67.5 on the announcement as I felt that massive rise was enough for now - that banked a profit of £750 - probably a nice re-entry point on the way soon.

I got caught out with Esure's warning (now I remember why I don't usually buy insurers) Still not too much damage and got rid of them after the warning at an average 285 ish for a loss of £66, could have come out with a profit even after the warning but was a bit slow off the mark as after all, I was on holiday! And indeed if I had sold before that would have come away with an excellent profit but never mind, you can't win them all.

Because of that I sold the other insurer Direct Line for a profit of £1,223. I was intending to hold onto that for years but the Esure warning put me right off. At least I have learned again to steer clear of insurance which I just don't understand enough.

I topsliced a small bit of my colossal holding in Telecom Plus at 1382.5 taking out the last website position for a profit of £7,839. I still have more than £400,000 worth - and profits for the site are still over £120,000. I still think they will be higher in the years to come but it seemed sensible to sell a small amount to free up money to put into some new shares.

Okay I'll complete the rest of the sells over the holiday next update as I need to hit my bed in a minute!

Total profits I just banked for the site are £20,774.

Before I go for now though some amazing and fantastic profits in so many shares ..

Good old Dialight has stormed up again leaving me with massive profits - bought at just 150 at a seminar. Personal profits on this must be somewhere around the £100,000 mark and took some of those in the last update.

And Nichols, the maker of Vimto has fizzed gradually higher over the summer and has more than doubled for me. Just a matter of time before it gets taken out with Britivic or AG Barr possible bidders.

Entertainment One, another doubler has had a great summer as has Avon Rubber, still bounces higher!

Oh and also Dignity which I forgot to put on the site but those of you who've been to seminars know has been a lovely buy from 900 to nearly 1500 for me. Others to mention that did well over the summer were

Hellerman Tyton which had a very decent statement last week. The first lot bought when it listed around 195 are doing nicely so far as it pushes 250 and Sepura has put in a blinder - as has GB among many others.

Next update I'll round everything else up and complete the buys and sells going through everything.

I've been testing out a new spreadbet firm over the last year. I just won't recommend anything unless I have really tested it over a long time and now happy to endorse it especially for any bets on indicies as the spread is only 0.8 on stuff like the FTSE.

Also they don't seem to do any messing about in stopping winning trades from being executed which has been known with a few of the firms which I totally refuse to endorse.

Execution of trades have been spot on as has account management and a robust system too. I really can't find fault with it.

Right that's it the jetlag has got the better of me, see you here on the 18th September and some of you at the seminar on the 13th !

I've been getting e-mails regarding my use of direct market access and who I use. I've tried a few and for me the easiest system for me is here:
http://www.ig.com/nakedtradercfds

Direct market access means you can place orders directly onto the order book bypassing brokers and market-makers with a chance to buy at the "sell" price. I would suggest you ensure you know what you're doing first but IG does provide much education with its "tradesense" educational tool which comes with it.
I also use its spreadbetting service too along with other firms like Tradefair because it now provides trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.

As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

Capital Spreads offer

Capital Spreads offers a really excellent book on spreadbetting for those who open accounts through the link below. Spreads are very tight and every trade has to have a stop loss which is excellent discipline to have especially for beginners. Execution is really good I find and they also allow shorts on shares it is hard to get shorts on like say Carpetright or facebook.

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets
on wednesday afternoons.
