I might be slower at answering emails during the holidays, please click FAQ above as the answer to your question might be there and please remember I can't answer questions about specific shares.

First thanks to all of you for reading me for another year.

And it's been great to meet many if you at seminars this year including the last two Mondays!!

I've met so many smashing people and it is always great to see old faces appearing at follow ups who are doing well. More on that later.

It's been a close run thing whether to carry on with the website or not in 2014 but decided for the moment to keep going but The site takes a break now but I'll be back with regular updates again from Jan 22nd.

I hope you all have a wonderful time.. we have a busy time before Xmas itself, more in a mo, then we're off to Dubai after Xmas for a few days for some sun and splashing about on waterslides hopefully.

Though I am going to have to be careful in the sun from now on. I had a few red marks on my head for some time, didn't think that much about it but recently they started to itch and got uncomfortable so had them checked out by a dermatologist.

I thought I would just get some cream and woke up when he said "Pre-cancerous..." What! Did he just say cancerous?

He diagnosed the snappily entitled pre-cancerous condition actinic keratosis.

It's the result of too much sun exposure in one area and if left to itself could turn into skin cancer.

So I have started a brand new treatment for it called picato - it was only approved for use this year. It's a fast acting treatment and if it works could clear up 75% of it for me within 4-5 weeks.

However, it does have side effects including headaches and other nasty bits and pieces and will probably turn my head into a quasimodo style disaster area for a while. Lucky it's cold and I can wear a hat most of the time.

So far the treatment is leaving me feeling very sore so it is all quite unpleasant.

I'll let you know if the treatment worked on Jan 21st! If it doesn't we'll have to look at other ways of treating it.

It's expensive stuff by the way. Consultation is £200 and the treatment is £100. Interestingly, the drug is derived from a common garden weed.

Of course I am a bit stressed about it. First the side effects possible and second whether it has been caught in time. Anyway hoping for the best and sure it will be fine.

If you have any red blotches on your skin which don't go away then you could have this too: it is actually quite common, don't delay and see a doc.

By the way dermatology is a great business with a massive mark up according to my doc.. botox in particular and fillers. So if you're thinking of starting a business not a bad idea.

Next to see the skin doc after me was a filler seller... she had two new lines..

Turning to nicer matters, trying to catch up with friends in the run up to Xmas, they will just have to put up with my head steaming with puss and stuff (yuk).

We saw the new play "The Duck House" on Tuesday at the Vaudeville Theatre

It is hilarious - a real old fashioned farce - based on the premise of a Labour MP in 2009 defecting to the Tories because he knows Labour is about to lose.

Unfortunately the expenses claim debacle is hitting and he has a duck house. Which he has got to hide.

Add much confusion, running in and out of cuboards etc and it is a lot of fun.

We were there press night and it was bizarre sitting in the middle of nearly everyone who is on TV! They were all there: David Mitchell, Vanessa Feltz, Esther Rantzen, you name it, they were there.

As my sister owns the theatre we went to the after party and had a great time. We even bumped into friends who know one of the lead actors so that was fun.

I tried to avoid all the hugging and kissing because my jacket was stuffed with slices of carrot cake from Eat - there are no branches where we live so when I go into town I have to buy as many slices as I can, delicious!!

We have one or two relatives staying over Xmas where we will have our usual big Xmas quiz. The music round continues to be difficult as Grandad only remember the music from 1967. I think we will have to give him a pass on the music round...

Then we are off to Dubai. Never been before and had mixed reports. People either seem to like it or hate it.

However we are simply going for a bit of warmth and light while it is dark and gloomy here. And Christopher loves water so he is going to have great fun and the water slide parks.

Of course I am going to have to keep my head totally out of the sun - spf 50 and a hat for me.

Here we are then, nearly Xmas. The time to give right?

I've been thinking it's time given I've made a few quid to consider giving more. I started quite a while ago giving £20's and £50's to Big Issue sellers.

I like giving directly, I like knowing who is getting the money and no-one else is taking a "cut". So I love the website lendwithcare.org

You can give directly to entrepreneurs in poor countries who need a few quid to get a business started so they can feed their families.

You don't get interest of course but they are supposed to pay you back eventually - I don't really expect to be paid back, so when I back someone, I expect to lose, but the point is you are giving someone a chance to do something fantastic.

My favourite lend so far is to someone trying to improve their tiny cafe in africa, looks like she has good business sense. Actually I am wondering about giving her all the money she needs.

Anyway if you have a few quid to spare sign up to the site and lend. Don't expect to get anything back but when you do, lend again.

There are tons of very lonely old folk around at Xmas. At a centre near us some get treated to Xmas dinner at a community centre.

About to volunteer me and Christopher to ferry someone there and back on the day itself. I think it would be good for him for us to do this and I think we should look to befriend someone who is lonely.

It was a pleasure to meet so many nice people at the starter seminar and the follow up the last two mondays. And thanks for all the great feedback I had from both events.

Of course I make money from the events but the most rewarding part is teaching tricks to new traders that have taken me years to find and to see lightbulbs going off in heads. And even better getting emails many months afterwards from people who made money.

So many interesting people from all walks of life at these two.

I've enjoyed chatting to all folk from doctors, to pilots, plumbers to many self-employed, some of you with terrific websites and businesses.

Quite a few nice trades or future trades to be emerged on both days I think. And some of the live trades I placed are doing well.

I was impressed with the amount of attention paid and a lot of you I think began to understand the importance of level 2 and supply and demand in the market.

You can have all the pretty powerpoint docs in the world but I think the best way to explain it all is to do it live from real accounts.

I know you all enjoyed having a snoop though my accounts and could see for yourselves what I have going on.

Great to see so many old faces at the follow up seminar and nice to know how well many of you have been doing.. one or two have made eye watering amounts and that is so rewarding for me.

Anyway I am sure I will see some of you again in 2014, no date yet set for a follow up but maybe end of March/Aprilish.

If you missed this one you can book the next on Monday Feb 3rd near Heathrow. Start the new year with a new resolution: trade the naked trader way!

Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com for details with "February seminar interested" in the subject line. Great news is there is a massive very early bookers discount available!

Beginners and improvers welcome! Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch!

My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.

A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!

Naked Trader Seminar Latest News

**** BOOKING OPEN FOR FEBRUARY 3RD
*****
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on Feb 3rd

Price is £590 plus vat. (Massive early bird discount is on offer however)
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Feb seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards! You might even get to see the amazing crocodile boots . . . .
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

Naked Rambling

Well, what can you say about Ed Balls? That has to be the worst most embarrassing performance ever.

The man has nothing to say. All his dire predictions haven't come true indeed if he had been chancellor over the last few years, a borrow and spend policy would have been disastrous as it has been in France.

Indeed his speech was so poor, badly prepared full of well worn cliches and not even a hint of what he would now do.

You could see Ed Milliband thinking how am I going to get rid of this guy before the election?

Costa Coffee has banned Cliff's Xmas hit Mistletoe and Wine after it polled as being the most despised Xmas song.

But they didn't go far enough: why not ban all Xmas music? Just play normal stuff.

We have to put up with dire Xmas music from early November and it drives me mad, goodness knows how the workers put up with it.

It is now pointless listening to the radio till the new year not only all the Xmas stuff (arrrhhh not again!) but the top ten is just horrible too. Boo Bah and Hambug to the lot of it!

An incredible £55 billion is being lost to the country in unpaid taxes.

It's really simple, a flat rate of 25% would solve all that. I bet all those currently dodging tax would pay up - watch the money roll in and the economy leap up as people put real effort in when they get to keep more of their money.

Won't happen, never will though will it?

So highlights of TV watching this year. Well obviously Breaking Bad ranks up there with The Sopranos as the best two series ever.

I am saving the last 5 episodes for around Xmas! It'll be sad when it is over.

Homeland series 3 has been a touch disappointing but still watchable. The Tunnel wasn't bad but all in all nothing much to write home about.

Surprisingly the best comedy was a French sit com tucked away on Sky Arts called Hard. If you can find it give it a try!

Xmas TV is always horrible so the set is off the whole time, and it's games time!
Ed Milliband's music choices for Desert Island Discs pretty much sums him up.

Though one has the suspicion there was a massive Labour party meeting to decide what the best choices would be for the party.

So... Neil Diamond (!) Aha, Take On Me, and Robbie Williams Angels.

If I was on a desert island and had to put up with those three horrible bits of music non stop my luxury item would be a gun so I could shoot myself.

Naked Mail

Dave writes :
I agree with comments about Dr Who and Breaking Bad. I used to enjoy Dr. Who years ago but I think it's worn out, it's all about celebrity now, like everything else on telly.

I recently was enjoying the Sopranos a friend let me borrow (fascinating story lines) and my son Rob in Australia (an irrelevance to you of course), he said if you like Sopranos you'll love Breaking Bad. Wow was he ever right. I got the full set from Amazon (apart from the last season). I'm having to eke it out it's so brilliant I don't want it to end, that's the sad bit. What about the uncle in the desert in the wheelchair with the bell strapped to the arm of the chair, the missus and me just fell about and many more just brilliant set ups dragging out every emotion.

Agree Dave, love Breaking Bad. Only five to go for me and I won't spoil what happens for you except it gets more and more addictive!
Gary writes :
"For throwing your heart, soul and energy into one fact-packed, full-on and exhaustingly educational day: FIVE stars with no hesitation!!
Met some really nice people too - like me, nervous that it was the most we'd ever spent on a whole day of anything (had we made arses of ourselves?) But no one felt short-changed, especially when you were still going strong when we all wanted to go to bed! One of your delegates, Susan, back for a second time, said to me unequivocally, "you will go away absolutely inspired." I can't disagree.
Thanks Gary, hope you make some money!

Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.

The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.

I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!

Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!

Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !

Thanks Gabriel!

Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.

I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites
saying how great an event was. Now I'm one of those people!. I
genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance

Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!
Stephen writes:
I read your book and did the course - and I wasn't sure if I'd recoup the cost, it's been 2 years and I've made £38k + saved a loss transferring a Jupiter ISA heavily invested in BP. I can't tell you how important this is or how grateful I am. That's just me, who knows how much people have made with your help and saved by not making mistakes. I wanted to get into shares as they recovered after the crunch, but I assumed I had to put a large amount in one company I thought would make a big jump.
But what happens when you make £1m on the website, will you still do courses? I don't know how you do your ISA and SIPP investments, write the website, books, courses and answer e-mails. But please don't give it up. Couldn't you do the courses and have a standing website which gets updated with your trades say once a month so people can see what you do..

Stephen thanks so much for such a nice mail and much appreciated! Dunno about the future, I feel like I'm getting jaded. It's possible I might just reduce it all at some point to twice a month after going weekly - that would probably help. The other problem is other people's angst is getting to me and the email workload becoming overwhelming. I think after ten years it might be time for me to quit. Anyway good luck with your trades and hope you make a lot more.

Market Reports Back From Wednesday Jan 22Nd

***
EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too. This includes asking me what to do with a share, what I might "think" about a share, whether I am buying the FTSE for Xmas or deconstructing any of the buys I mention here. I would be grateful, see FAQ for more on this. Of course more than happy to answer general questions not related to specific shares.
****

I might be slower at answering mails during the hols - click FAQ above as the answer you want could be there.

What a year ! I would never have dared to dream it would go so well. I'm not a spreadsheet guy but I am roughly guessing overall personally I made over £700,000 and even better I banked a lot of it and bought and renovated a house.

That all means for me personally when considering rental value I would now have enough income to live off for life. So it's a matter of whether to stop trading soon and do other things. I need a big think.

A review of my trading year is on the way after a look at recent buys and sells first.

Of course as I write we are heading into likely Santa rally territory, the strongest trading days of the year usually are on the way.

The second strongest week of the year starts Dec 23rd. And the strongest day? The 27th or I guess the first trading day after Xmas day.

As I write the market has been falling (the excuse is tapering) but the more it falls the more likely a santa rally is.

Of course the santa effect tends to fade pretty quickly in the new year so you've got to be careful and it may not happen at all. If you are going to trade the FTSE up do be careful. It's easy for a bet to go wrong. And getting the entry point is difficult.

I'm away over Xmas so I don't think I will bother much this year betting on the FTSE and after all if it goes up my shares will go up anyway.

If you do bet on it the narrowest spread is 0.8p and that is with www.spreadco.com/nakedtrader

I suspect I will initially sell a bit of everything in the new year and then see what gives. However on the upside there are green shoots around so it is possible shares could continue upbeat.

It probably depends on how the market perceives a better ecomony versus tapering. Who knows because the market is crazy!

Also it can just take one or two events to change emotion and perceptions.

In the end I'll try and follow it and not guess.

But as an investor/trader you ought to have some idea of an exit strategy if the market sinks.

I went through a large number of potential trade set ups at both the starter and follow up seminars I've done over the last two Mondays.

But out of all the trades that came up there were two cheap shares that stood out and I bought them both at the seminars.

Not only did both appear cheap, but they both look well run companies with great management and rising profits. And on both supply and demand which I cover in depth definitely were on the demand side using level 2 and the other trick those of you who came now know about.

So first off is KBC (KBC) where I bought 5,000 at 100 and a few more live at the seminar too a bit higher.

Profit are on the up, and it has cash too. And it's in a good area of the market with plenty of potential to win new contracts and possibly could be seen as a takeover target too.

I think the shares are worth at least 130 but I reckon they have potential to hit 150 in time.

Second is Scapa (SCPA) which at first glance looks like a pretty boring company.

But I made a lot of my big money from boring companies. I love boring, give me boring. Most traders prefer high risk oil companies but who wants to be in a share that can tumble overnight when it doesn't hit oil?

No such worries with this sleep at night one. As with KBC this one ticks all my boxes of rising everything. Demand for its products continues to rise and it looks really well managed.

I've bought in at 100.8 .

The point with both these is it's usually a good plan to buy shares breaking through a whole number like 100 or 200 etc. It is amazing how once they have broken through they add 10p really quickly then you often find them 30p higher quite quickly. Must be a psychological thing I guess.

I've also bought an interesting new one: Servelec (SERV) at 212.

It's a tech group that provides services to healthcare, energy and broadcast services. It's a main listing too rather than AIM which makes it a bit less scary and volatile than AIM new ones.

That'll mean also it'll go into the small cap index which should attract fund managers. I would think there is a pretty good chance of contract win news items which will eventually lift the price which is quiet at the moment.

It's a market leader which last year made an ajusted profit of just under £12m so the market cap doesn't look too stretched giving potential good upside.

So all in all I think KBC, SCPA, and SERV could all be good investments and maybe for longer-term.

Given as I write we are in the bad week before the usual Santa rally I am pretty loath to sell anything because if it is a good rally there is a lot of upside to come short-term.

Two recent trades haven't worked so sold both for a small loss as they went down and bought them both back. I only ever try this once or twice otherwise you are catching a falling knife. The Dia find the bottom trade worked at first with a good profit but didn't take it and came out at a loss instead averaging 897 when support at 900 went for a loss of £85. I've just tried another entry point in the low 800s. More on Dia lower down. I sold Infinis for a small loss as it kept slipping and have just bought them back.

Long-termer Creston has gone at 93 but still a decent profit banked over time of £4,505. Results were okay and massive upside looks unlikely for now. Cohort went at 217, nicely reached target for £1,121.

I've sold bid target Coastal at around 1090 for a profit of £6,200 taking the money and running rather than waiting any longer.

It's been a lovely trade, also I took profits on it before too, so all in all I am sad to say goodbye to Coastal and wish it well, nice profit!

2013 portfolio highlights... and look ahead to what might be big in 2014.

Amazingly I hardly had a loser for the whole of the year. Normally you would expect out of a portfolio to have say two major stinkers.

But I can't think of one major one - I lost a small amount on new issue Keyword but any losses from anything were kept very low and actually if I'd held onto them I wouldn't have made any losses at all.

And there was the odd small loss but any were cut fast so no damage done.

Trade of the year. Well I guess for sheer craziness it has to be the very recent buy of Applied Graphene Materials which doubled in a few days to bank more than £5,000 fast! But I think I had a bit of luck there more than any skill.

Telecom Plus obviously was a giant winner in 2013 as it doubled during the year making me over £350,000 better off on paper and it now means I have a massive stake in there worth nearly £700,000. The open positions on the website now total profits of £270,000. Now who said buy and hold doesn't work?

If you'd like to go with them for energy and telephony let me know as I have been a distributor for them since 1998. If you do go with them via me not only do you get cheaper energy and telephony but you get my weekly email with
all the website stuff sent to early in your inbox and also higher risk buys made in my sipp

Mail me if interested at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "mail offer" in the subject line.

GB Group was also a storming winner this year and another that pretty much doubled with giant profits building.

I banked some huge profits in Vislink in 2013, pretty much trebled and doubled on it and at 48p I thought it had run too high. Giant profits of £16,000 plus.

32 Red has had a brilliant time this year - and it looks like my original buy is going to be a doubler.

Kentz too a great year and was a bid target. I banked some super profits and still hold a fair amount for good profits.

BTG has been a star this year with a massive rise. 5 timed on that one.

My long-term stake in IP Group has moved much higher, well more than doubled now and Regeneris is also a super trade which looks like a double.

Dialight has had a disappointing year after being a mammoth trade for me - however I banked a lot of profit in it around the 1200 and 1300 levels - holding onto some hasn't quite worked out however I'd be surprised if they weren't back up over a tenner at some point in 2014.

Royal Mail was definitely priced too low by that silly duffer Vince Cable, om 2-2013! . The real reason they priced it low was not to scare PI's away from the sales of Lloyds and RBS next year. But anyway I made small beans from the IPO!

Air stocks Avation and Hangar 8 have both taken off.

RWS, Avon, CML and Loq, (now called accesso) are the long-term stars. Six times on Accesso, trebled on CML, doubled on Avon and doubled on RWS.

And a big cheer for Vimto maker Nichols, what a share!! It has bubbled up 2 and a half times from my original buy.

Carpetshite short is working out this year it has taken some patience but up 5k on it now after another horrible report. No idea how the shares could be valued near 6 quid, 2 would be about right.

Cohort has had a great end of the year - Entertainment One has had a nice run higher in 2013 with more to come and I have trebled.

Other great trades have been Porvair (doubled)
Filtronic 4 timed, Sepura doubled.

Picked up more than £10,000 from St Ives, another doubler.
Coastal got bid for and picked up tons on that. Vectura is up 70% with some lovely gains.

Accumulated a lot from Accumuli, And Al Noor proved a speculative winner.

I took massive profits from Trifast and made £14,000 from horsemeat after backing Greencore at a low!

It's simply been an amazing 2013, I made way more than I could have possibly expected. However I intend to be careful and have no qualms about cashing in and going short if the market turns next year.

Ones To Watch In 2014

Who knows what 2014 may bring. It could well be a stinker of a year after all we've had some good years and in that case I will change strategy but I will wait for it to happen first if it does.

But here are six shares I think could shine.

My "Nap" for 2014 is SEE - Seeing Machines. And Naps are what it is all about.

Of course right now it's a small company just scratching a profit. But amazing potential. Spots tiredness in drivers and applications for it everywhere such as coaches, planes, and the mining sector. It's winning contracts and raised £15m but may need to raise more. The potential is so big it could be a mighty share in 2014.

3D Systems. I don't trade US stocks normally but this is a great one - doubled and trebled on this in 2013 making more than £40,000 via spreadbets which is the best way to deal it. I love it as it is 3d printing which I think is the next big thing. Potential is buying into this one is like buying the next Apple or Microsoft early on. One problem though is it is very volatile and can move 10-20% in a short time. So it is one I look to top up on after a decent dip. Could be a stormaway winner for 2014.

Applied Graphene Materials. I doubled in this one fast and took profits but looking to buy back on weakness. Graphene's a new type of material expected to revolutionise medicine and manufacturing with light but strong and conductive properties. One if its biggest potential is for use in condoms, yes to give you guys a much better experience, it could perhaps harden the share price even more. Of course it is impossible to value and will swing violently but if you buy on a bad day could have a fantastic 2014.

KBC Advanced (KBC) Already mentioned above, so cheap and so much potential for new contract wins and my top one for a potential bid!

RGS- Regenerisis - already made a lot on these but more coming I believe. It helps big names like John Lewis, Toshiba, Orange, Nokia and Samsung with after care services repairing electronics. The association with a name like John Lewis shows it is held in high regard.

VEC - Vectura. Drugs company with a compelling pipeline in the airways area including astma. The great thing is it has tons of cash so doesn't look like it will be held back by fundraising. Any approvals will see the price shoot higher.

*** Two Newer Spreadfirms I Use

FOR SMALL COMPANIES:

It is hard to find a firm that does prices on the very small companies but this company does:

http://www.spreadex.com/nakedtrader

It does spreads on smaller ones other companies don't like Dillistone so worth having an account for that, been using it for a while and very happy so far.
***
TIGHEST SPREAD FOR TRADING THE FTSE/DOW ETC

If you're into trading indices this one is the cheapest with just a 0.8 spread which is fantastic - execution is top too

www.spreadco.com/nakedtrader
If you start using them and find any problems please let me know.
I've been getting e-mails regarding my use of direct market access and who I use. I've tried a few and for me the easiest system for me is here:
http://www.ig.com/nakedtradercfds

Direct market access means you can place orders directly onto the order book bypassing brokers and market-makers with a chance to buy at the "sell" price. I would suggest you ensure you know what you're doing first but IG does provide much education with its "tradesense" educational tool which comes with it.
I also use its spreadbetting service too along with other firms like Tradefair because it now provides trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.

As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

Capital Spreads offer

Capital Spreads offers a really excellent book on spreadbetting for those who open accounts through the link below. Spreads are very tight and every trade has to have a stop loss which is excellent discipline to have especially for beginners. Execution is really good I find and they also allow shorts on shares it is hard to get shorts on like say Carpetright or facebook.

Telecom Plus Offer

Want to quit the rat race? Try and start a new source of income so one day you can tell the boss to stuff it? You could do what I did to escape my grotty office job and become an independent distributor for the Utilities Discount Warehouse.
You get to sell great broadband, phone packages and energy to friends, relatives, contacts and anyone else you find and you get cash for each sale but more importantly you get a cut of their spend EVERY MONTH for as long as they are a customer!
It's called residual income and is a far better way to enjoy a ripe old age than relying on a pension. Because even after you stop selling the money STILL comes in!
I still get paid EVERY MONTH for sales I made back in 1999! Every time a customer uses broadband or the phone or switches on a light you get paid.
It's a great business and backed by a stock market company (Telecom Plus), a dedicated team of advisors.. and me to help you on your way!
Not only do you get paid out every month for each customer you can take on distributors. encourage them like I do and get paid on their sales as well.
One day, say you could made redundant, needed a year off or wanted to retire early can you imagine what joy it is to have the regular income coming in. It's wonderful.
You have to work at it, but if you do genuine repeat wealth could be yours. I did it. You can too. For full details, why not email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com.
An overview is also available at http://www.utilitywarehouse.org.uk/fabdeal you can sign up directly there but do tell me! (Click become a distributor and follow links)

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets
on Wednesday afternoons.
