Unfortunately I won't be able to do a Friday update.
I'm out for most of the day, got to travel to a solicitor with my sister to do the signing of various documents regarding the estate of my parents which has been a nightmare to try and sort out. But I'll be back next Wednesday as usual. Apologies.

However I look forwards to seeing a small group of you at the TA seminar on Saturday. See you there and hope you enjoy it. We will definitely finish at 6pm enabling you to get home in these horrible conditions. See you there..
Those of you coming to the Xmas seminar on Dec 13th, you should all have venue details, please let me know if you do not have them. All those who came to Friday's seminar you should all have the notes from the event, if you didn't get them, please let me know!
There is still space at the Xmas seminar on Dec 13th if you fancy coming, But many are asking me for the next date if you can't make the 13th.

I just fixed it for Friday February 4th at Heathrow as usual. More details on that date and the Xmas seminar somewhere below. And a follow up seminar for those who have been to a seminar before based on timing, level 2 and research will be on Jan 21st for a small group. Let me know if interested.
Hurrah! In two weeks exactly I'll be sitting by a pool in the warm sunshine!!
I've already had quite enough of damp and cold and dark nights and I'm really ready to go. I'm a Naked Trader, get me out of here!
We're leaving on the 14th and not back till the new year.
Packing for South Africa for me is easy peesy.
My packing will consist of shorts (4) jeans (2) T-shirts (10) trainers (1) laptop (1) Nice n easy. Oh and I Pod (1) And books (4) - much nicer to read a book, who on earth wants to read one on an I pad? Never I tell you!
And if you think I'm a smelly old trader there's a great laundry shop around the corner.
We're already planning stuff to do. MC Hammer is playing one night. And there's Goldilocks for the lad.
I've had one or two mails from concerned readers saying we shouldn't go to South Africa because of the potential dangers.
It's nice they are concerned but really, you've got to live your life and you can't live it through fear. We know our way around anyhow and wouldn't go anywhere dangerous.
I'd rather live life to the full and take a bit of a risk. Rather that than not do something at all.
So we're going. Life is a risk generally and something could happen anywhere. It's best to live your life as you want to live it and not worry so much. One day you're here the next you are not.
I intend to do what I want for however many remaining days I have. So there!
Well, congratulations to those who came to the seminar on Friday. And stayed to the end.
I have to admit you were the audience with the most stamina so far with a fair few of you left by, ahem 10.30pm, I finished just after making it the latest finish so far! I reckon those coming got some pretty good value!
And to think three years ago they used to finish at 6pm! I think the end session scanning and researching is fascinating and I think some of the findings very interesting.
I always arrive home with a nice new list of interesting ones to add to my watchlist! I hope another Mulberry comes out of this one.
Thanks to so many interesting contributions and stories throughout the day which I think proved not only interesting but also as a warning.
I thought in the bar at 11.30 that I wasn't as knackered as normal. Indeed after such a long day I struggled to sleep and ended up having tea and toast at 4am as my brain struggled to power down.
Serves me right as I've spent the last few days almost totally comatose!
I got a mail from a delegate saying his mind was going bonkers and he never got any sleep either!
I'd like to say hello to Bill, our oldest participant who stayed the whole course though didn't quite make it to the bar. Bill appears to know everything I bought and sold over the last ten years. He could probably tell you the time and date of each purchase and sale.
Sometimes I wish I was a spreadsheet kinda guy too. But every time I talked about a share Bill could say: "You bought this then and sold it then!"
And I was amazed that everyone showed despite the snow and the horrible weather.
Oh and thanks to Greg who got me the Starbucks to keep me going.
Despite asking the hotel a few times to check the room was going to be warm they managed to blast it with cold air. Then they appeared a bit later carrying what looked like tiny little portable radiators they must have bought in 1955.
You'd have thought they could have afforded a few blow heaters, you can get them for £20 ! I've got three at home and bringing them to the next seminar,
I've already told them if the room is that cold again at the next one it'll be the last I'll hold with them. I feel sorry for the staff. I notice hotels across the board have made cut backs in staffing and they're not spending anything either. Not the best way to keep business or to get new business.
As usual a brilliant mix of people from 20 to 80 years-old - with a huge range of professions everything from builders, plumbers and doctors, dentists, psychologists you name it!
It's always interesting to meet people trying to change their lives and I had many interesting chats.
I have to say I find these days more and more rewarding. It is fantastic feeling to give people the right tools to use from my experience over ten years and get newer traders off on the right foot rather than starting off making the same old mistakes new entrants to the markets always make.
And even better for me? I came away with 5 or 6 shares to add to my watchlist that look great, and ones I think I can make money off in the weeks to come. Most might not be buys right now but several that really take my fancy for the future and ones I might not have found without doing the seminar research.
So once again, great to see you all and hope level 2, timing, and how to research will all come easier from now on and I also hope you learned from some of the mistakes spoken about on the day. I thought the fish and chips weren't bad either!
And thanks to Mrs NT for all the back up and organising she does behind the scenes.
The feedback from the seminar has been tremendous, that is so rewarding, many of you seemed to enjoy the live trades and rifling through all my accounts!
And the penny has dropped for some of you on level 2 though obviously it's something that takes a while to learn and you can hopefully carry on with it at home. I'll publish one or two of the mails about it soon.
There is still room left for Monday December 13th - The Xmas Seminar!
Mail me for details at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Xmas Seminar interested" in the subject line.

I have also just fixed the date for the one after, that will be Feb 4th which is now open for booking! Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Feb seminar interested" in the subject line.

Beginners and improvers welcome! Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch!
If you mail me I will then send you details and a full agenda of what is covered. Also more details below somewhere.

My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.
A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!

I get quite a few mails asking what magazines or news services I subscribe to etc. Well, hardly any! I get the Investors Chronicle delivered.
However I do subscribe (£7.99 a month though take the yearly option at 20% discount to that) to a daily email which is my main source of news about such things as broker upgrades, main news items, analysis of stocks and markets, forthcoming company statements and events, stock recommendations and targets from the top brokers, what kind of earnings expected from companies and a whole heap more useful stuff.
I sometimes get ideas from this for companies to watch or monitor or even buy. And it's handy to get a summary of what the brokers are saying and looking at future earnings etc.
It usually arrives around 5ish every day.
I contacted the people that put it together and they offer a free 14 day trial of it to my readers - so you can cancel after 14 days if you don't feel it's useful enough.
Once you cut and paste this link into your browser, click "uk 14 days free trial" then I would go "yearly option" which gives a 20% discount making it just over £6 a month, as you can still cancel seems worth it. Hope you find it useful like I do. It's one of the few paid for news services that has really impressed.

An interesting email from a reader. The thrust of it was he was going to buy a share after doing a lot of research but then it went up 12% and he hadn't bought it yet. So he felt angry.
How does he stop/halt the feelings of anger?
Well, you have to take the emotion out of trading. Which isn't easy.
I suggested he should read this book.. by Jason Zweig
http://books.global-investor.com/books/256158.htm?ginPtrCode=10453
This is the one to read on psychology. Great read.

Spreadbetting firm Tradefair Spreads has upped its offer exclusively to Naked Trader readers to a £100 credit. This offer is exclusive to me and not available anywhere else...
I've been using them for a few weeks to check that I'm happy with the service. As you know I don't take ads or allow referrals on the site unless it's a company I've used and I feel confident about.
What I like about it is it's easy to use, spreads are surprisingly tight on the smaller companies and interestingly an automated stop loss is applied to each trade - so beginners know what their max loss is from the outset.
Anyway they now offer a £100 credit as long as you deposit £100. You get the credit after you placed 5 trades (Terms and conditions apply)
If you'd like to apply for an account with Tradefair Spreads and get the freebie click this link:
http://www.tradefair.com/promo/spreads/nakedtrader100/

The number of emails to me is nearly reaching saturation point and I'm struggling! I'm getting 100s which is lovely in a way but killing me in another.
The main problem is the length of some of them, indeed some run to the length of novels, so, please, help save my eyes and please keep mails to under 150 words.. you can do it! It's close to the stage where I am going to have to say I will answer all mails but those over 200 words will get deleted. Keep them short and sweet, please!!
Also, it's possible the answer you seek from me is already in FAQ's. And do remember I can't discuss individual shares with you as it would be classified as investment advice which I'm not authorised to give.
Many of you enjoy the cheap advfn toplists bronze deal through me as do many of you with the cheap level 2. However many of you say you want a half-way house to include real-time share prices always on.
So I'm pleased to announce I've managed to seal a new deal with Advfn for its "Silver" service - that's always on real-time share prices for a good saving (Bronze toplists etc are included in this).
The deal is via me you can save £30 for your first year by paying just £138.06 inc vat via me instead of £167.47.
Just mail me for full details if you'd like it with "silver" in the subject line.

They've just re-published "The Zulu Principle" by Jim Slater who's written a 2008 update at the beginning.
This is a brilliant classic book. Reading this is a real pleasure and it was a great idea to republish.
Jim believes like I do the best gains can come from smaller stocks and in an easy to read style takes you through how to evaluate smaller companies that are about to become bigger ones - he uses some excellent examples.
Really this is a must read for all more longer-term investors or anyone looking to grow their money... a number of you have also written to me about this book and praising it.
Here is the link to buy it:

Here's a very topical one: The Little Book of Bull Moves in Bear Markets by Peter Schiff.
The book is all about how to keep portfolios up in a down market. He focusses a lot on how to play commodities and win with some sensible advice especially on natural resources and precious metals. He is very much a realist and there is no rubbish here: some straight talking and some interesting strategies.
Everyone who invests should think seriously about keeping portfolios up in bad times so this book should be read.
Well worth picking up at this link:

Several people have asked me for a recommendation on a book which shows how to study accounts in a reasonably easy way. The one I like the most is http://books.global-investor.com/books/15717.htm?ginPtrCode=10453 by Robert Leach. Ten crunch questions to ask before buying any company.
It' s a decent easy-to-read book with several key chapters and it's highly recommended. It's one I keep and dip into from time to time. To order, click this link... http://books.global-investor.com/books/15717.htm?ginPtrCode=10453
The best book on charting and easiest read on the subject is http://books.global-investor.com/books/15618.htm?ginPtrCode=10453 by Alistair Blair. Click here -> http://books.global-investor.com/books/15618.htm?ginPtrCode=10453
Another good one is the second edition of http://books.global-investor.com/books/23792.htm?ginPtrCode=10453 by Peter Temple. Included in this one is how to use spreadbetting, CFD's warrants and trackers to reduce risk. And there are some decent trading strategies too.
This is an excellent book for new investors and also experienced ones. It explains all the things you may not be sure about in the markets and will explain the tools that are there. Naked Trader Seminar Latest News

**** BOOKING FOR MONDAY DEC 13TH AT HEATHROW NOW OPEN**

Also Bookings Now Being Taken For February 4Th

Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is still open for the Naked Trader Xmas seminar on Monday December 13th

Price is £495 plus vat.
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Xmas seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there! Or if you prefer Feb 4th mail with "Feb seminar interested"
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards! You might even get to see the amazing crocodile boots . . . .
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

Exclusive One Point Spread, £250 Cashback Offer

Still a massive response coming in for the sensational 1 point indices spread offer plus £250 cash back on losses - my mail box continues to be full of enquires - don't miss out!
I have arranged a deal with a spreadbet company that gives you just ONE POINT spreads on all the major indices and very tight spreads on everything else. A one point spread is just amazing and you can use it on the FTSE, DOW, Nikkei etc...
Not only that, I can offer those of you interested a fantastic £250 cash back on any realised spreadbet losses made within your first 8 weeks. That means you get back any losses up to £250 which could come in extremely handy.

£100 Tradefair offer

I've started using Tradefair for spreadbetting - I like the auto generated stop losses which help to maintain discipline and that's good for beginners I think. And exclusively for Naked Trader readers they upped the offer to £100 credit.
So there's now a £100 credit on offer for anyone opening an account via me. You get that after 5 spreadbets (terms and conditions apply)

Naked Rambling

The stuff coming out from wikileaks is amusing rather than anything else and I guess we could guess a lot of it. It's fun hearing what people are saying about each other behind their backs.
It would probably be awful if we knew what people were saying about us secretly...
The one that amused me most was the leak that Gadaffi is accompanied at all times by a "voluptious blonde Ukrananian nurse!"
The Lib Dems can't have it both ways. Devise a policy to raise tuition fees and then not vote for it. Do they think we should have the fees or not? And if they don't, how are they to be paid for?
How can they be so idiotic as to vote out Gillian McK in I'm A Celebrity over Aggro the Boring?
It's so annoying when the annoying ones get the boot as they're the fun ones to watch.
The Apprentice is down to the last few. And it's one of the best tasks tonight.
The one where they go out and have to buy ten objects at the cheapest possible price. This is a pretty good test of ingenuity and of negotiating skills.
Although I do wonder about the sellers of the items. They must know they are Apprentice candidates so are they being kinder on price because they know they will end up on TV?
And is it slightly easier for the women when negotiating? Ie, a little bit of flirting might help to drop the price a tad?
Oooh, Mad Men finale tonight. Might wait and watch it on IPlayer at the weekend as a main course.
I bet it is a cracker.
And if you missed it Peep Show is back on Ch 4 Friday nights. A comic masterpiece.
The spreadbetting firm I use for sports betting is here:
Via this link Open a Sporting Index account and there's £100 cash on offer) please check terms and conditions which apply.

http://www.sportingindex.com/?tpid=6755
Do remember if you do bet you ought to treat sports spreadbetting as entertainment - and expect to lose! Also with spreadbetting work out what your max loss could be and make sure you can afford it! In other words if you say backed the favourite at 15 for a fiver and they come nowhere your max loss is £75.

Having Read your books, followed your recommended reading lists and attended your seminar....

I have to say, I unreservedly agreed with all your teachings/strategy and now follow them to the letter...except one area... the impact of the "Bid Offer Spread"....

My thinking was that- it does Not really matter- the different between 3% & 8% etc.... if you find a good buy.

Now I have began buying/trading, I completely agree with your thinking on this area.... they have a far bigger impact than I thought... especially when investing at c£3k each time.... and immediately seeing how much I was down on the purchase.

Lesson learned....the hard way!..hah hah.

Glad you like my stuff! Yes, it does matter over time and it's always best if possible to try and get the price when the spread is small as I hopefully showed live at the seminar..... often the worst time to buy is at 8am when the spread can be way too much.

Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.

The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.

I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!

Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!

Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Helen writes:
Thank you very much indeed for your superb seminar on Friday. Many factors that made it worthwhile, however your talent in communicating so clearly, in a way that was accessible to so many people, really stood out. I now clearly see the error of my old ways of buying at quite the wrong times and lacking a businesslike attitude. Time to turn over a new leaf. DMA was fascinating, along with being taken through your thinking and decision-making

Thanks Helen. Yes, learning direct market access and how it works can be very useful indeed. Glad you enjoyed the day!
Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.

I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites
saying how great an event was. Now I'm one of those people!. I
genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance

Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!
John writes:
Thanks for a great seminar last Friday, everyone I spoke to enjoyed it and marvelled at how you kept going so long; you certainly gave value for money.

If the seminar taught me anything it was how to trade in a more professional and detached manner. I realise up till now I was just playing at it.

Thank you once again for a fantastic day that will remain with me for the rest of my life.

Thanks John, though my wife sometimes complains I go on for too long.....

Markets

Hang on a minute! The Santa Claus rally isn't supposed to start till mid December!
But today for the minute anyhow markets are focussing on good manufacturing figures both here and in the US, good unemployment figures in the US. The European debt problems have suddenly taken a back seat. And that sees a good rally today after a few stinky days.
But as we all know things can change these days on just about anything!
Usually the first two weeks of December can be bad, followed by decent rallies from about the 13th (the next seminar!)
So it would be no big shock if today's rally peters out - however it does feel like the Santa rally has started early today with a good rise as I write.
It is a bit crazy at the moment with big moves either way most days with the thought that the big moves are designed to knock out both bulls and bears each way it goes. As usual I keep any stops well away from where they might be knocked out.
I bought one or two things, many live at the seminar. Got some Hilton Food Group (HFG) live at the seminar - I put an order on the order book bypassing the market makers at the sell price and lucky me as we discovered I got them! 2,500 shares at the prevailing sell price of 255.25. I also picked up a few more using the order book at about the same price.
Hilton is a nice defensive, it packages up things like cooked ham etc across Europe and its market is growing very nicely. You might remember I got a nice profit out of it last time I was in. It tends to get re-rated by 30-50p, then it sits there for 2-3 months before being re-rated again. It's been sat at 250-265 for a while and if last year is anything to go by it should start to shift again before and after its next trading statement in early January. Target 320 stop 225. The idea is I may as well get in now before the (hopeful) rise starts. And as I got in at the sell price bypassing the spread, even better!
I also bought some AZ Electronics (AZEM) at the seminar too.
AZ Electronic makes sophisticated chemicals that are used in electronic goods such as semiconductors and smart phones and is used in ipads and iphones.
It's also a reasonably new issue so it will go straight into the FTSE 250 in a couple of weeks so funds are going to have to buy in. Looks a nice one and my thought is this one is a long-term tuckaway for a potential doubling of my money! I got 2,000 at 265.7 and a few more at 263.2 .Target 350 stop 240.
I bought Supergroup (SGP) live too at the seminar, a fiver on the spreads at 1545. It was a bit hard given I bought them at 650 and sold them lower than this - but I did bank a profit of £12,000 !
However as those at the seminar saw, level 2 looked very strong on the day which is why I bought some again. Target 1800 stop 1480. That works out well so far as it's up nicely today.
I've shorted a few G4F. (G4F) The chart looks horrible and looks good for a further 30 points or so downside. I picked up £20 a point short at 240. Target 210 stop 255.
And I have topped up the Betfair short (BET) with another fiver in at 1310 - it keeps on falling and my view is it isn't worth more than a tenner. Good company though it is. target 1000 stop 1450. It's falling well today and I'm already well up on the first short.
Finally IMI (IMI) a company I hadn't noticed before came up at the seminar - I noticed it looked like it had a squeak of a chance of getting promotion to the FTSE 100 if it can get a bit higher in the next 2 weeks, so I took the chance and bought some on weakness yesterday for a fiver on the spreads at 869. Target 995 stop 840.
Elsewhere despite the big up and down moves on the whole the portfolio has continued to go very nicely with some good moves up.
The short in Wincanton has gone well and nearly at target. The Rightmove short is in a little loss so need to keep an eye on that and cut it if it moves much higher.
Considering the market fell off a cliff I'm delighted most of the portfolio survived with mainly minimal falls, a lot of nothing happening and even one or two risers.
Long-term massive hold Telecom Plus (profits over £20,000 for site) heads confidently over 400 - this looks very bullish for a rerating up to a fiver for now. With the lovely yield it's a great hold.
Carclo's seen some good buyers.0The share remains under the radar - however when it emerges from the radar it is going to jump and 2011 could be a big year for the share with a potential double in store.
Yule Catto is picking up again after a recent dive and heads back to over 250.
BTG has dipped again following the purchase of Biocompatibles. I'd expect a nice steady climb.
Recent buys Ocean Wilsons and Innovation both go ok. Porvair with another contact win announced looks about to tackle 100, terrific!
Exillon Energy looks set for a run up and the market seems to like it, a rise through 300 looks on the cards. It's increased its daily production rate by over 200% and is expected to massively increase production even further next month. Looks good for further rises in time.
Fenner seems to have cracked 300 for the moment and goes well higher - Afren is solid though struggles to get through 130.
Recent buy Bioquel remains nice and calm a bit higher than when I bought it and . Judged on this, looks like a good chance of this one getting back up to the 150p area. Commercialisation of its new product looks like it has a decent chance and could be worth a lot of money, with submission now made to the regulators.
The recent Cineworld top up on weakness has paid off well so far!
and nicely up now. 888 Group is now on the rise after decent figures from Sporting Bet. Looks good for another few points. Entertainment One consolidates after recent rises, patience should pay there. .
The brilliant Volex holds nicely around 315-320. I've doubled on the original lots I bought in the low 100s and in a really super profit of over £13,000.
Superstar Oiler Bowleven (BLVN) has got nicely through the 300 mark this week and indeed looks like it might clear 340 today with profit takers having done their stuff. Huge profit there already .The recent statement was a decent find and there is some talk about it being the next Tullow - well that is just talk but it would be nice
Recent top up Devro proved good timing as it's already climbed 10% since I bought! It has also for the moment gone through the previous sticky area. It couldn't quite manage 270 but I would expect to see 300 early next year.
Spreadbet Centamin is back in profit though very volatile. Gamble Orosur Mining is on the rise again after dipping on profit taking.
Long termer Heritage is heading back higher today. The Vitec Group is heading back up nicely and is trying to crack the 600 mark - been brilliant so far. Aggreko rises after a couple of downdays - I shall carry on holding - still up 400 points and may top up if it weakens any more.
Davis Services Group short is now making good progress and has been drifting down, it seems to be forming a base below 400 and could be more downside to come. .
My big long-term trebler Dialight is back in demand again. Those of you who came to one of the seminars might remember be buying that live at 140ish - now nearly 450!
Splendid profits now in African Aura, it raised estimates again this week - it will split into two companies next year which looks a good move. It's up a little in a down market.
Hyder produced a decent statement this week and I remain a holder and in good profits. And there is a bid possible in there for nothing. It's been rising all week.
Xp Power consolidates its recent big gains and tries to leave a tenner behind today. I bought this one at 164 a year and a half ago and it's now around a tenner with a profit of £13,000 plus. It goes to show if you can hold the good ones for a bit and resist the take profits temptation it can pay off big time!
.Lovely Petrofac didn't give back too much in the melee and remains a core hold and soars today. Together with spinoff Enquest sees me sitting on profits way in excess of £25,000. Of course it's volatile but a strong uptrend remains intact. 1500p seems a tough nut for it to crack at the mo though.
Spirent has doubled for me and there recent top up is in profit. It is trying to stick above 140..
Nestor share price is now through 100 after it said the AA had raised its bid to 110. They are still in talks and my guess is they will settle at 115 plus the 2.5p dividend which would be a lovely end to the story and locked in profits of a super £20,000 plus for me.
Mulberry amazingly flies still higher, knocking on 700 ! continues to rise after results with the spreadbet up nearly £6,000 now - indeed it has doubled and with Mrs NT and friends continuing to buy their handbags and boots there I continue to hold! So thanks again for this one to Mrs NT for Mulberry bags and boots appearing at home was a big buy signal and B) - thanks to the ladies at the July seminar for agreeing Mulberry was the hot place for the ladies to be.
I've been getting e-mails regarding my use of direct market access and who I use. I've tried a few and for me the easiest system for me is here:
http://www.igmarkets.co.uk/?QPID=1079&QPPID=1
Direct market access means you can place orders directly onto the order book bypassing brokers and market-makers with a chance to buy at the "sell" price. I would suggest you ensure you know what you're doing first but IG does provide much education with its "tradesense" educational tool which comes with it.
I also use its spreadbetting service too along with other firms like Tradefair because it now provides trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Link is here: -
http://www.igindex.co.uk/?QPID=1078&QPPID=1
that also includes a pretty decent educational programme. As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

£100 Tradefair offer

I've also started using Tradefair for spreadbetting - I like the auto generated stop losses which help to maintain discipline and that's good for beginners I think. And exclusively for Naked Trader readers they upped the offer to £100 credit.
So there's now a £100 credit on offer for anyone opening an account via me. You get that after 5 spreadbets (terms and conditions apply).

Telecom Plus Offer

Want to quit the rat race? Try and start a new source of income so one day you can tell the boss to stuff it? You could do what I did to escape my grotty office job and become an independent distributor for the Utilities Discount Warehouse.
You get to sell great broadband, phone packages and energy to friends, relatives, contacts and anyone else you find and you get cash for each sale but more importantly you get a cut of their spend EVERY MONTH for as long as they are a customer!
It's called residual income and is a far better way to enjoy a ripe old age than relying on a pension. Because even after you stop selling the money STILL comes in!
I still get paid EVERY MONTH for sales I made back in 1999! Every time a customer uses broadband or the phone or switches on a light you get paid.
It's a great business and backed by a stock market company (Telecom Plus), a dedicated team of advisors.. and me to help you on your way!
Not only do you get paid out every month for each customer you can take on distributors. encourage them like I do and get paid on their sales as well.
One day, say you could made redundant, needed a year off or wanted to retire early can you imagine what joy it is to have the regular income coming in. It's wonderful.
You have to work at it, but if you do genuine repeat wealth could be yours. I did it. You can too. For full details, why not email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com.

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time.
Trades first reported Weds and Fri afternoons under "Markets" section.. afraid I can't do live trades as that would turn me into a tipster and I'd have to be regulated!
