I'm a total sicko
***SPEND A DAY WITH ME ON APRIL 26th!***
My next seminar is this Friday April 26th near Heathrow.
If you want details email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "April seminar interested" in the subject line and I'll send you details, there is an early bookers' discount available ... more details below too.
And there is a follow up on March 22nd for those who have been to a seminar already - we do level 2, live trading, research, finding new companies and timing tricks all day! Mail me with "follow up interested" in the subject line.
*****
I'm a total hypochondriac (I had to look up how to spell that!). Why such a long word, surely sicko would do?
Every time I get the slightest ache or pain I am convinced I am on my last legs.
I know if I go to the doctor he will look at me with pity and say something along the lines that I only have 2 weeks to live.
Indigestion at night? I am pretty certain I am probably having a heart attack.
Pain anywhere? Definitely something terminal. Slight pain in the leg? Get me a wheelchair.
So when I probably pulled a muscle in my chest last week I was very sorry for myself. To be fair it was quite painful and discomforting for a while.
I spent a good bit of time moaning about it.
I spent my time wondering: "Will I make it to the car? What happens if I collapse before I get there? Will anyone find me in time to call an ambulance?"
Then I wondered about things like I never even sorted out the music for my funeral yet.. hey I want to be burned to the sounds of "I'm a firestarter, twisted firestarter.."
Of course as I was stressed about it I couldn't get any sleep so it made it all worse.
And I am still pretty convinced I will be lucky to still be here tomorrow.. There must be a cure for this patheticness ! Wish me better!
If there is no update next week you know I am a goner. Hope you all enjoyed the site!
But okay, today I have to admit it: The pain has gone. I feel great today. What the hell am I going to moan about now?
Half-term was spent ferrying/watching 7 and 8-year-olds to/from/playing football.
Christopher and his friends were keen to spend as much time as possible at Fulham FC's Academy.
And why not? What better way could there be then to spend half-term playing football.
But something has gone horribly wrong.
I don't know how on earth this happened.
I appear to now be the manager of a five aside under 8s football team.
I've only ever played one game in my life but do not tell the boys. They smell fear.
We will be playing other teams every Friday night. The team is my son and a load of his friends. I am going to have to train them and manage them.
The only training we have done so far is to watch videos of the best dives of Gareth Bale and Luiz Suarez and they are trying to copy them.
Not a great start. More news on this dreadful and unexpected development in my life in the next update.
Saturday I was out in the cold - nearly all day!
Started with football with Christopher in the park, then we went to see the Fulham Vs Stoke game. COLD !!! And Stoke are such a boring side too. Ten defenders and no attackers and they punched one of our players. Despite that we won 1-0.
Back in the warm briefly then I was all excited about walking over to the fish and chip shop.
Just my luck we turned up one street and there were some lads playing street football.
"Do you want to play?" they asked Christopher. Darn it,yes! My vision of a warm fish and chip shop dissolved.
I spent the next hour and a half looking out they didn't get run over freezing my knackers off. I thought the game would never end.
Then at last off to the fish and chip shop and then at last I could relax in the warm. I've had enough cold. Where is Spring?
I look forwards to meeting some of you coming along to my seminar on Friday!
I really enjoy these days and meeting readers. Every one ends up being a bit different as it all depends on who is there and sometimes there are some very different roads we end up in.
Often seminars are also great for my trading as inevitably in all that time some shares come up that I might not otherwise have spotted and researched.
In the years I've been doing them I remember some fantastic ones popping on screens, the best one was the seminar where Mulberry kept appearing at 250... I remember buying the following Monday and although I sold out too early at 950 it was a tremendous profit. And the other really good one was Dialight that was 150 at the seminar and pushes 1200 now.
So selfishly hoping to discover something new myself! Those of you coming doors open 9.30am... follow the signs to Naked Trader..
Please remember I am paying for your parking but you MUST give your reg number in to reception or else you will get a parking ticket!
Please come and register from 9.30am and then find a seat - coffees will be there waiting for you and there is coffee and tea on tap all day. The chef promises me there will be great snacks and lunch! It better be good or there will be trouble....
Please do not worry if you are late, it's easy to get delayed Mrs NT will direct you to a seat.
Grab a coffee and some choc and just relax, I promise to be gentle with you all. I hope you all enjoy the day, as it's live from the markets who knows what will come up. And as you know I talk plain English with none of that idiotic jargon. See you there!
If you missed this one but would like to come and spend a day with me and some lovely readers mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com for details with "April seminar interested" in the subject line as the next is on Friday April 26th (early bird price available!) I will mail you details.
Beginners and improvers welcome! Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch!
My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.
A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!
**Follow Up Seminar - March 22Nd**
A follow up with me will be on March 22nd... You must have been on a previous basic one of mine to qualify.
The last one was great fun so I can't wait - I know some of you who came to the last one want to come again! It is all day level 2, research, finding new stuff, timing and live trading. Who knows what will happen!
If you are interested mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "follow up interested" in the subject line.

I use IG Index for betting on the very small companies, the only spreadbet firm I can find that does the smaller ones making it possible to trade AIM cos tax free.

Naked Trader Seminar Latest News
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on April 26th
Price is £590 plus vat.
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "April seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards! You might even get to see the amazing crocodile boots . . . .
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

Interesting views from MP Adam Afriyie. This guy has actually been in business unlike most politicians, he operated businesses that employed hundreds of people.
He rightly says it's risk-taking entrepreneurs, small business owners and other companies that will secure economic recovery and not bureaucrats in Whitehall.
He raises the point that the tax system is there to deliver jobs and growth not to be used as a political tool. The current tax system creates a long line of barriers to growth.
I know it, I ran business too. And he is right: barriers must be removed and the tax system simplified urgently
Taxes should be urgently reduced, and NI abolished. Life must be made easier for those who create jobs and money.
Will it happen? Of course not. All I can do is dread what Milliband and Balls are going to do when they probably take power in 2015.
So while lots needs to be done what are MPs up to.Erm, watching porn on work computers.
Favourite sites include S and M and, erm foot fetishism. These MPS need a foot, right up their backsides. Maybe not, they would probably enjoy that!
Oh and apparently a lot of sex toys (this email is definitely heading for spam folders) sites accessed.
Perhaps when some MPs delve into their pockets it is not just their mobile phones that are vibrating.,..
Mention "Romanians" to anyone in the UK and thoughts of them flooding the country next year spring to mind.
Not so! says the Romanian PM, He says their economy is going well and Romanians do not need to come to the UK.
Indeed he suggests we pay them a visit starting with Chelsea's game with a Romanian side on March 7th.
If Balls and Milliband get in in 2015 expect in 2017 to see the Romanian press moaning about "those Brits taking our jobs".
As for Nick Clegg, well he almost leaves me speechless.
You have to hand it to him for this priceless copout line he came up with today:
"I can only tell the truth as I can recollect it now..."
I can't quite imagine the taxman buying that one!
After this week of various allegations one has to wonder if everyone with any power is dodgy.
Dodgy Lords. dodgy vicars - the mind boggles though at least he was allegedly going after other clergymen rather than the choirboys..
Bit of a dearth of stuff on TV to watch though still enjoying Girls on Sky Atlantic. Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe is a great round up of the week.
Been going through the last few Dragons Dens I had recorded. Goodness they are hardly giving any money away at all now. Tight git Duncan hasn't offered anyone anything since his wife divorced him.
Two new Dragons for the next series which should breathe some new life into it. Good to see one "only" earns in the very low millions!
Congrats to Swansea for their amazing cup win. What a great team it is. Built on not much money, just great teamwork and a brilliant manager. Swansea is a real credit to the premier league. Erm along with my club Fulham of course!

Do remember if you do bet you ought to treat sports spreadbetting as entertainment - and expect to lose! Also with spreadbetting work out what your max loss could be and make sure you can afford it! In other words if you say backed the favourite at 15 for a fiver and they come nowhere your max loss is £75.

Agree about facebook - the youngsters who leapt onboard when it started,
posting dire photos of them doing things they shouldn't are now grown up and
getting on in their careers and errrrrr wondering if that photo of them
mooning in the disco in Majorca was a good idea!
Nice to think I am not the only unsociable grump to not want to follow the
minutiae of my friends and colleagues mostly boring lives!
I am in the states just now and feel the Starbucks asking name thing is just
more marketing bollocks to get them noticed. If they just speeded up the
service I might go there but americans seem to need all this 'service
bollocks' to make them think they are getting their moneys worth.
Thanks Anne,
well of course I agree, it's nearly all bollocks!

Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.
The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.
I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!
Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!
Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !
Thanks Gabriel!
Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.
I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites
saying how great an event was. Now I'm one of those people!. I
genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance
Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!
Stephen writes:
I read your book and did the course - and I wasn't sure if I'd recoup the cost, it's been 2 years and I've made £38k + saved a loss transferring a Jupiter ISA heavily invested in BP. I can't tell you how important this is or how grateful I am. That's just me, who knows how much people have made with your help and saved by not making mistakes. I wanted to get into shares as they recovered after the crunch, but I assumed I had to put a large amount in one company I thought would make a big jump.
But what happens when you make £1m on the website, will you still do courses? I don't know how you do your ISA and SIPP investments, write the website, books, courses and answer e-mails. But please don't give it up. Couldn't you do the courses and have a standing website which gets updated with your trades say once a month so people can see what you do..
Stephen thanks so much for such a nice mail and much appreciated! Dunno about the future, I feel like I'm getting jaded. It's possible I might just reduce it all at some point to twice a month after going weekly - that would probably help. The other problem is other people's angst is getting to me and the email workload becoming overwhelming. I think after ten years it might be time for me to quit. Anyway good luck with your trades and hope you make a lot more.
I have 3 great offers from ADVFN.
ADVFN level 2 offer
First great deal: If you want level 2, through me it is only £350 for your first year including VAT!
This compares to £473 direct from advfn inc vat so this deal saves you over a whopping £120! ADVFN level 2 also includes all the live trades made through Plus Markets which I find invaluable.
To accept this great deal just e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Level 2 offer" in the subject line and I will tell you how to get it. Level 2 gives you access to all the market maker positions and the order book and I would not trade without it!
More on level 2 in my book and I spend hours on it at my seminars. So if you get level 2 and want to learn how to use it properly live, book my seminar!
ADVFN Bronze Offer
To take up the offer, e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with Bronze in the subject line and I will tell you how to claim the deal.
Bronze is included inside the level 2 deal.
Advfn Silver Exclusive Offer
The deal is via me you can save nearly £30 for your first year by paying just £145 inc vat via me instead of £173.71
Just mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com if you'd like this deal with "silver" in the subject line.
Irish Offer

Markets
I knew it was going to be the mention of a country that would do it. Greece? That doesn't scare us!
Italy ! Help ! What's that? A comedian won loads of votes?
Join the club, Italy, we've been voting for a bunch of comedians for years.
However at least for the moment anything you can say to the markets has a limited reaction. Okay it went down a lot but stabilised.
Iran making a bomb? Nothing. Feels like the market has heard all this before. It's going to take a real serious big story to take them hard down. Indeed for the moment a bad down day looks like a good time to buy.
Well, goodness me, I have emptied a lot of my accounts in the last two weeks as we are completing on a house on Friday and I have literally just wired £750,000 to pay for it. That includes £30k in "stamp duty" aka daylight robbery.
And I can keep what we have already which is close by and I can use as an office!
And it is all thanks to trading and I am deeply grateful. It's profits banked from the last three years mainly - I raided all my spreadbet accounts too and a little from the ISA but luckily not too much!
In the end I don't see the point of leaving too much cash in the bank, better to get some property with it I think. Right, just £150,000 to find now for the renovations! I need a few decent spreadbet wins.
Someone emailed me this week asking why my stakes were so low. Well, they tend to be a lot bigger in reality as those that come to seminars find out.
Enough gabbing on.. onto some trades.
As I mentioned last time when I took huge profits of over £5,000 in Greencore (GNC) I would love to buy them back at 90.
Well, goodness me what a wonderful opportunity came by and I grabbed it - getting not 90p but a brilliant 82.1 p and at 84.
Shares tumbled after a report some horse was in one of its sauces. However that wasn't anywhere near worth a tumble from 115p to 82p !
Then the company said this product plus one or two withdrawn products amounted to a tiny amount of profit/turnover. This was an amazing chance to bag some shares at the totally wrong price and I took full advantage,
The only question is now when to take profits. I don't see why the shares should not soon get back to where they were before the alarm at 115p. At the moment they are horsing around the 100 mark.
I like the look of Filtrona's statement (FLTR) - very nice indeed I thought and I think it could have a nice run up to 700p. I got mine at 596. They are still going higher and hardly blinked at the market melee of yesterday. So despite some nice gains for me already here more to come I think.
I also think CSR's prospects look pretty good and in for a spreadbet at 439. Quite volatile this one so a tricky one to manage but could easily hit 500 unless the market melts.
Engineer Senior (SNR) brought out a cracking report too and bagged some on a spreadbet at 225. Looks like there is some nice upside from here perhaps up to 270-300 though it might take a while. They are a bit volatile so care needed on setting a trailing stop on it.
I've bought some more NMC Health (NMC) at 265.6. Off the radar for most this one but I've already made profits of more than 30% on it and happy to average up with some more.
Excellent results yesterday with big rising profits and a confident outlook - it is very close to gaining entry to the FTSE 250 if it goes a little higher and could enter next month or in June which would give it another lift.
And finally as you know I am a big fan of topping up shares I already hold that have already gone up a lot.
I topped up in Dialight (DIA) this time on a spreadbet at 1132 as my ISA was fully invested at that moment. I remember so well buying these at 150 ish at a seminar in 2009 ! I never thought I'd still have them three years later at 12 quid - website profits are up and over £70,000 and personally profits over £100,000.
I bought loads in the 100s and 200s. So you might think I am crazy to buy more near 12 quid and really I ought to be grateful and bank the profits. But I think there is way more to come over the next couple of years.
Dialight reported this week, profits rising fast and its lighting segment is going to be a big winner.
The report is actually even better if you read it again and its presentation on lighting. Dialight now has an LED that lasts an amazing 20 years!
As Dialight says, think of all the big savings that can be made by big businesses, governments and councils. Instead of hiring scaffolding, people etc every 2 years, now it will be every 20. Compelling. And they have not yet even scratched the surface yet. I also think Dialight might well be taken over this year. I'm in and staying put and may even top up some more.
In the end I cashed in Cash Converters selling at 83 on the last day before delisting. That banks a profit of £1,430 and £945 to bank a total profit of £2,375.
Shame as I think there is further to go but all ends up I decided not to go for holding an Australian share. Still, a nice profit.
I also banked profits in Ffyfes at 52p for a profit of £588. And Msi went at 233 for a profit of £270.
Which leaves a total profit banked for the site of £3,233
(And for those of you who came to the last seminar and saw my massive spreadbet profit on US company 3d, I banked £25,000 profit in the 60s and have bought back after results and consolidation of shares at 30)
Portfolio Highlights
Well this year continues to be really good with everything pushing up further and while it is going up I'll roll with it.
"You've got to roll with it, you've got to take a chance..." That's a song isn't it?
Last few trades go well, Fenner and Booker. Booker is more long-term, Fenner I will bank hopefully soon. The recent Brammer trade has been a big success so far.
Pendragon has motored up, looking for 25p on that one. The brilliant Low and Bonar has conquered 70p, dare I hold out for 80?
Filtronic continues to rocket and appears to have settled for now in the low 60s. Profit are huge now, over £10,000 but it might be one of those shares that carries on going up so sticking in there.
Recent trade Huntsworth goes fine though nothing tremendous, it needs a break through 50 for a bit more.
RWS continues to do well, up nearly 200 points on this one, nice. The spread is a bit of an irritant though.
LOQ continues to do the business and has pushed through a fiver giving me a lovely five timer!!
The lovely Porvair now flirts with 200 what a star trade... brilliant profits here and wondering if it can now tackle 200?
Talking lovely, Coastal has been a fab trade, it and now more than trebled on this brilliant oil play. I suspect a bid will come in here this year at hopefully around the 1800-2000 mark. It has had a pullback the last few days on news of bad weather in January on its rigs. I think this is just a temporary blip. Those of you who saw my real trades at the seminar are aware profits for me personally are up and over £50,000 on this one.
Telecom Plus tries hard to get above the tricky tenner. All looks on track and I would expect a nice steady rise this year. It seems to have cracked the 900 area for now - cracking a tenner is going to take a few attempts, I would expect 1200 sometime later this year. Website profits of well over £100,000 and personal profits of more £300,000. I just continue a long-term holder.
It is holding a big meeting with distributors with some big news for them in March.
Chime keeps on going up - a good few points higher this year and still in this from 50p so a nice times four and a great profit on the ones bought more recently in the 140s and the spreadbet. Kentz remains a massive disappointment, I guess the market doesn't like the sector, though I still think value will out eventually.
Vislink (VLK) is shooting up nicely and looking for it to go to 37p ish. Management already forecasts some nice profit rises over the next 3 years and it looks cheap and at some point should get a rerating. Very low risk too and it is in a hot sector.
Nichols where I now sit on a fabulous profit is up again after telling the market it is ahead of expectations - it has tons of cash so I'd expect them to announce some kind of big dividend with results in March.
Trifast is having a remarkable run, it is tempting to look at taking some profit soon, I just wonder though whether it can get into the 60s first.
I'm hoping for a bid soon on Alternative Networks (they already turned one bidder down) and in the meantime there has been great capital growth and a massive dividend as they have loads of cash. It's now trying to crack the tricky 300p area. Had a good go at it yesterday, nearly there!
Direct Line has proved a surprise nice winning trade and has sped over 200. I was thinking of taking profits at over 200 but it seems so strong staying with it for the mo. I laugh as I only bought because all the magazine tipsters said don't buy!
. Sepura's report wasn't enough to get it through the 100p area ..100 surely must be cracked sooner or later. Not quite yet. Mid 90s for now.
Iomart has really motored up recently - getting above 240 looks the next test.
I've been getting e-mails regarding my use of direct market access and who I use. I've tried a few and for me the easiest system for me is here:

Direct market access means you can place orders directly onto the order book bypassing brokers and market-makers with a chance to buy at the "sell" price. I would suggest you ensure you know what you're doing first but IG does provide much education with its "tradesense" educational tool which comes with it.
I also use its spreadbetting service too along with other firms like Tradefair because it now provides trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.

As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

Telecom Plus Offer
You get to sell great broadband, phone packages and energy to friends, relatives, contacts and anyone else you find and you get cash for each sale but more importantly you get a cut of their spend EVERY MONTH for as long as they are a customer!
It's called residual income and is a far better way to enjoy a ripe old age than relying on a pension. Because even after you stop selling the money STILL comes in!
I still get paid EVERY MONTH for sales I made back in 1999! Every time a customer uses broadband or the phone or switches on a light you get paid.
It's a great business and backed by a stock market company (Telecom Plus), a dedicated team of advisors.. and me to help you on your way!
Not only do you get paid out every month for each customer you can take on distributors. encourage them like I do and get paid on their sales as well.
One day, say you could made redundant, needed a year off or wanted to retire early can you imagine what joy it is to have the regular income coming in. It's wonderful.
You have to work at it, but if you do genuine repeat wealth could be yours. I did it. You can too. For full details, why not email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com.
An overview is also available at http://www.utilitywarehouse.org.uk/fabdeal you can sign up directly there but do tell me! (Click become a distributor and follow links)

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets on Wednesdays.
