What the.... where did summer go?
Yesterday I was lying by a pool at 35c. Today I am freezing cold. If I didn't have a son whose school term started again today I would be right back in Spain.
Plus side is I haven't got a job - no boss to placate or boring meetings to go to.
Hands up parents who are relieved they are back at school: oh, let's see... that's all of you then!
First sorry to those of you I had to turn down for next week's seminar. It got sold out - but because of that I am doing an October date where normally I would wait till November.
So those of you who missed out you can now book October 9th - decent early bird discount available! robbiethetrader@aol.com for details - stick "Oct seminar interested" in the subject line.
There is also a follow up seminar on sept 29th for those of you wanting another day with me - we follow up on problems and do lots more research, supply and demand and finding new ideas. Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "follow up interested" - this one is for a smaller group.
Look forwards to seeing those of you already booked in next week. I have unlimited Mr Whippys for you all we can pretend the summer is still here.
Look forwards to meeting those of you coming next week "" if you haven't sent me your questionnaire answers yet would appreciate it if you could fill up and send over to me (though not compulsory!)
Good news is the Mr Whippy machine is hired again, the cones and flakes are on the way for unlimited 99s on the day! Also got some great snacks lined up and a fab lunch. And massive tubs of sweets!
I hope you all enjoy the day and we find lots of good trades and I can help you on your way to being decent traders/investors.
Remember the event is casual, no suits please. Find your worst trainers. See you there from 10am, if you are late don't worry as the Mrs will be there to guide you in. If you didn't manage to get a seat remember to book Oct 9th!
Had a great summer, if you don't want to read about someone's holidays you don't know personally you have my permission to skip the next few pars. I wouldn't read it either.
A lovely time in Crete. It's a huge island, could take you many hours to go around it.
Stayed in a lovely hotel except for the awful musak everywhere.
My son played a prank on me and challenged me to prank him back. He expected my prank to be "Lame."
Little did he know I was a brilliant prankster in my youth so challenge accepted. I set him up by pointing out he was "stealing" drinks from the lounge - and pointed to a sign saying drink and food must be consumed before leaving.
I said he should hide the drinks if he was taking them...
I got a friend to ring the hotel posing as the manager asking to speak to him.. He fell for it totally. My friend told him stealing was not allowed at the hotel and he ought tom come down to the lounge and apologise.
I almost felt sorry for him as he was quite shaken, and walked with us - slowly - to the lounge to say sorry.
The look on his face when I shouted "You've been pranked" was fantastic to behold.
He admitted He had been totally pranked and indeed - for the rest of the holiday showed me quite a bit of new respect..... Thanks to my friend for putting on a brilliant Greek accent.....
Those on Crete according to our lovely taxi driver who we met on day one and helped to show us around the island are struggling to survive.
Taxes are way too high, he complains which is why he, and most others declare probably around 30-35% of their real income. If they didn't, they would go under.
He said if taxes were reasonable there would no reason to under-declare. Interesting as I always feel if they slashed taxes in the UK, they would actually take more tax.
The tourist season is fine but only last half the year, the rest of the year they try and make money from olive trees but income from this is limited.
Also paid a visit to the Cotswolds. A house in a kind of posh estate on a lake with some friends.
The estate is full of reasonably well to do who want activity. So lots of super-Dads knocking about with kayaks and little boats and stuff.
There was also a "spa" though that seemed to be mainly a pool which had kids wee in it and some suspicious looking debris at the bottom...
Still, it was all pleasant with games of tennis, swimming and general messing about on their football pitch.
By the fifth day though it began to feel a bit like "The Truman Show" so we went to visit an unspoilt village.
Trouble is by the time we parked in a field (£3, cash only thanks) and headed out we realised it was a spoilt village.
Crammed with people like Oxford Street on a Saturday. Called Bourton on the Water there didn't seem much water just lots of shops selling old tat. Sorry if you live there maybe it is better out of season.
Ended the summer in Spain where we walked along beaches had lots of Japanese food at our fave restaurant and also lazed some days away.
Back with a vengeance now. School is back and also Sunday youth football where every Sunday I shall be on some godforsaken pitch ankle deep in mud while supercompetitive tedious dads shout at their offspring.
They don't seem to realise yet it is just a youth game and their son really isn't going to end up playing for Man Utd.
They're still not going to get me to play linesman. I refuse. I never was and never will be a team player.
"It is on a rotation basis" says stern alpha dad. Last season I suggested where he could rotate. Sometimes us beta males can surprise.
After much nagging I took my son to a Championship away game where Fulham played Reading. It was all easy enough, train then they lay buses on from the station. The ground is fine, a good view though they can't really fill it. So first away game and one of our players gets sent off after 30 seconds. Great choice of game! 1-1 draw.
Thanks for continued feedback on the last seminar ... Here's some from Jane:
"Thanks for both a very informative and also a very enjoyable and engaging day yesterday. Despite having got up at 3:20 I found you kept my attention all day, Level 2 has definitely begun to make sense now, and, I now have a good understanding of Spread Bets.
It was also lovely being able to talk to like-minded fellow 'traders', and share experiences. The venue, food and diversions - waffles, ice-cream etc all helped to make the day. The school 'milk bottles with straws' took me back (along with a few others I spoke to!) to an earlier time!"
Thanks Jane, a pleasure!
If you missed this one next date is Oct 9th Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Oct seminar interested" in the subject line There is a giant early bird discount on offer.
Beginners and improvers welcome. Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch, lots of sugary snacks, and even live chocolate waffle making in the teabreak!
My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.
A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!
Here's some feedback from from "D"
'It's obvious from his site Robbie Burns is a good market analyst and shrewd stock-picker. He is also a highly opinionated commentator on everything from TV shows to food. Therefore I expected his seminar to be 75% entertainment, 15% general exposition for beginners and-- if we were lucky-- 10% of something I could use to help me invest. But I could not have been more wrong.
The opinions on food and politics etc. though genuine, are I believe a bit of disguise or misdirection for there is a real touch of rebel genius here. And in the seminar, which is 95% hardball, he actually takes you candidly right into the mental process involved in his successful trading, making it a pretty amazing display, even showing his own investment accounts right there on the screen. You can see at once why so many of us are merely stabbing in the dark with our investments.
This is a genuine coaching session in how to trade like him if you put in the graft. I have only bought one stock since, as I am waiting for the tools he recommends, but I got the price down by using his tactics and I cannot recommend the seminar too highly if you are going there to learn. It must be taxing on him to let us at such length and in such detail into the process, which has made him so much money (for--unlike so many other so-called experts the seminars are not a day job). My advice therefore would be to sign up for this while he is still prepared to do it.'
I love it the most getting mails from people who have spent a day with me some time ago and are doing well. This was very pleasing from Jason:
"I took part on one of your courses this summer and I wanted to send you a belated thank you. The next day I got myself Level 2 and sold all of my positions, most of them had losses, I then started to buy shares, some which we found on the course and others using the techniques you shared, the simplicity of your selection process surprised me but I also found it easy to apply. Within a couple of weeks I felt so much more at ease trading, I wasn't worried about my decisions anymore because I felt in control of each trade, I knew when to sell and when to hold on and I'm no longer anxious when I open my account because it's always in the plus.
When I signed up to your course my goal was to make 20% p.a., I've achieved that in less than six months. Your course was pretty much going to be my last attempt at trading, So once again thank you, it's by far the best money I've ever spent on trading education and probably on education full stop."
Thanks Jason but it is down to you, you applied the discipline needed and had the cuts to cut your losers.

When I left my full-time job to trade it really helped having another income: this I got from part-time selling energy and phone services to people and getting a cut of their use of their home services forever! I still get enough from it now to pay all my bills. I am a great believer in multiple incomes and this is a great one in my opinion as anyone could do it.

Many of you enjoy the cheap advfn toplists bronze deal through me as do many of you with the cheap level 2. However many of you say you want a half-way house to include real-time share prices always on.
So I'm pleased to announce I've managed to seal a new deal with Advfn for its "Silver" service - that's always on real-time share prices for a good saving (Bronze toplists etc are included in this).
The deal is via me you can save £30 for your first year by paying just £174 inc vat via me instead of £208.43
Just mail me for full details if you'd like it with "silver" in the subject line.
Naked Trader Seminar Latest News
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on Oct 9th
Price is £690 plus vat. However there is decent early bird discount on offer. Mail me for details.
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Oct seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards!
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

Nice summary! Meanwhile Jacob double barreled I'm Posh Isn't That Fun mucked up his chances of getting the Tory leadership by denouncing abortions and gay marriage. Two neatly slotted away own goals.
I'm glad as I am still on Sajid Javid at 33-1. Obviously though congrats on saying what he thinks (even though what he thinks stinks). Tim Farron take note!
Airlines are worried about drunk passengers disrupting flights. Can you imagine what it is like being an air steward and the hen or stag party gets on? They should just ban alcohol on flights.
It might be still on the BBC I Player - "Silicon Valley" is a must watch doc.
Looking at disruptive companies Uber and Air B and B. The effects both are having and the misery caused by Uber in some places.
More alarmingly there is a glimpse of the near future where boffins and geeks creating it are actually worried about the monster they are creating.
Indeed one or two are so worried about what is round the corner they've bought land near Canada and are currently building tents and defences.

Games of Thrones (spoilers ahead don't say I didn't say).
The finale was terrific though with some minor flaws. How come the characters can suddenly travel right across the Kingdom in a few minutes? And how can a dead dragon breathe out fire? That takes a bit of head scratching.
I don't really get the dead army. What do they do all day? Don't they get bored? Dead bored?
What happens if they try and kill each other? And what happens when everyone is dead? (See Kim Jon Nutjob).

Nice twist on the Littlefinger trial though sad to see him go. Amazing that Cercei didn't kill off both her brothers.
The main thing is families love watching the show. Because however dysfunctional they are, they can't possibly beat the Lannisters.
Great new show Alert on Netflix - called Ozark - seen the first episode and it's great. All about a dodgy financial advisor who cleans money for local bad guys. Plenty of action but lots of ironic comment on money too - give it a go!

I want to tell you of an experience I had this week. After reading your new book Trade Like A Shark.
I had finished my research on some stocks and as I was about to buy when I felt myself get really excited about it because two of them were making good gains. I stopped myself, admitted to myself that my emotions were running amuck and I closed the computer.
The next day I made the trades but with ice running through my veins and no emotion. I found that by admitting to myself that my emotions where high I could gain control again.
Excellent you are really on the way to becoming a proper shark!
Gary writes :
"For throwing your heart, soul and energy into one fact-packed, full-on and exhaustingly educational day: FIVE stars with no hesitation!!
Met some really nice people too - like me, nervous that it was the most we'd ever spent on a whole day of anything (had we made arses of ourselves?) But no one felt short-changed, especially when you were still going strong when we all wanted to go to bed! One of your delegates, Susan, back for a second time, said to me unequivocally, "you will go away absolutely inspired." I can't disagree.
Thanks Gary, hope you make some money!
Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.
The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.
I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!
Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!
Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !
Thanks Gabriel!

genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall

Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!

EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too. This includes asking me what to do with a share, what I might "think" about a share, or deconstructing any of the buys I mention here. I would be grateful, see FAQ for more on this. Of course more than happy to answer general questions not related to specific shares.
****
COPYING TRADES: I can't stop you from copying a trade I made but remember the price may already be a lot higher than I paid indeed I hope it is as buying at good prices is what I do for a living. You may be buying at the top and could easily lose money. Also I can make terrible mistakes and have done in the past. I could also sell before you or before the share tanks. I may still be holding in a year when you sold at a loss. Always do your own research, don't jump in blindly. Market makers are very clever at knowing how to make you pay top dollar and then push you out at a loss. This site is about sensible investment and learning how to trade sensibly and is not a tipping site. Beware. Never push buy on anything till you've done proper research and got yourself a sensible price.

I rarely do offers - Forex companies in particular offer me eyewatering sums. I turn all this down as I would never put out an offer for a company where I think my reader will 95% likely lose, or be taken for a ride.
Having had lots of mails from people using Stockopaedia and using it myself I am 100% confident.

Each share gets a ranking, you can use "guru" screens to find shares, there is even a stock screen loosely based on my criteria! There are strategies based on ideas from top investors.
There is lots more really fantastic material and I believe access should help investors and I now use it myself.

The September 15th seminar is sold out - but just booked a new date: Oct 9th
mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com if interested with "Oct seminar interested" in the subject line. Apologies but cannot fit anyone else into next week's event.
Well, the summer has come and gone so a lot to catch up on. I am only just back and in a bit of a daze as yesterday was relaxing by a pool.
I will cover as much as I can in this edition and catch up with stuff I probably missed in the next. I'll try and do the latest stuff first.
I try in the summer not to do much and was away abroad a lot often on iffy wi fi so generally only pressed the button if I really had to.
While I was away Barclays decided to make its website almost completely unusable. I'm sure most of you with Barclays broker accounts are fuming like me.
They were all transferred recently to a new platform. Cue no chance of getting through to customer services.
Many hundreds of angry customers unable to get into their accounts. I managed to get into mine but it takes ages clicking many buttons - the new system is way worse and costs more, thanks!
Those running accounts for others found themselves unable to trade them. I ran three accounts for the family of a friend who died of cancer and I promised I would take over their ISA accounts. Now I will have to wait weeks for the accounts to be transferred to IG.
Indeed if you want to transfer expect very long waits.
There is total uproar among customers though
you would be unlikely to know that. If you wonder why the papers aren't covering it much or putting out it's "just teething trouble" stories, guess what - Barclays advertises with most of them and they can't afford to be too critical!
I have sent off my thoughts to the big wigs in which "Piss up" and
"Brewery" are mentioned. And some bad words I can't use here.
However it is probably pointless complaining. The call centre staff
could care less and management probably find the complaining annoying interrupting their nice games of golf.
Sadly we are pretty much helpless. The bigger the company the harder it is to get
anywhere. God help us all when amazon eventually becomes the only company left.
I already put my last 2 years of ISA money with IG where you get decent service, a great platform and low costs. Best way to transfer imo is to put the next lot of ISA money with them. You don't need to spreadbet with them, you can just have a broker account

account then sign up- you can then add an ISA account. Then once Barclays eventually starts to answer calls again ask for a transfer.
Once you can actually get through I'll be transferring my Barclays isas to IG. Downside is there will be a long wait due to their incompetence. Upside is once complete I know IG will answer my calls fast or my emails and I love their platform.
The only downside I can see with IG is they don't do stop losses yet. Though those of you familiar with DMA can place sell orders on larger stocks, pretty much as good as a stop loss.
Away from incompetence of big companies..
The summer has been a brilliant one for me on the markets.
Look, I know it is annoying! It would be more fun for me to moan about terrible losses but I have had some nice gains and I know it sounds smug and I understand it is irritating to read.
Not sure what to do about it. I will definitely make a big loss on something very soon (perhaps when that North Korean Manchild does something stupid) then you can all have a good laugh and a fun read.
I am even wondering if I should make up some big losses to make it more readable. In the meantime just curse me and delete the site. Maybe that'll make you feel good.
And remember we have loads of crazy pychos in charge of various counties. If something kicks off I can them report heavy losses. Though you may not be able to read it down whatever cave you manage to hide in...
Perhaps on a more serious note the market has done well and a correction can come - make sure you have some kind of exit plan if it happens, we will discuss this a lot with those of you coming to the seminar next Friday. In fact you need an exit plan for every trade.
The main headline over the summer is the bid for Paysafe as I (smugly) forecast handing me website profits of more than £60,000 and a lot more for me personally as had a lot of spreadbets on it too.
This was a massive holding for me having held since 171p in the rights issue and I have banked a lot of profit. More in a mo
Anyway here are more recent buys. I don't see the point of telling you stuff I bought ages ago.
I bought some Paypoint (PAY) which is nothing to do with Paysafe! I thought this one offered some value and indeed it has been as high as 12 quid.
It's got a massive cash pile and growing nicely in Ireland and Romania. There is probably a Paypoint in one of the corner shops near you.
It's a decent business and I wonder whether someone might want to snap this up at a lower valuation and add it into another payments business.
I've bought some Amino (AMO) this week. Came up at a seminar in July and kept an eye on it getting some on weakness.
Lots to like about this one, nice increases in profits forecast, some decent net cash, a good dividend yield and prospects look bright.
Directors have been buying and I bought after shares came off their year high of 220p.
I think given a fair wind they should get back there and with a breakout through that then 250 comes into target view. Also looking at supply and demand it is on the rise so a recent seller may have been cleared.
I also bought Van Elle (VANL) - an engineer which looks a bit undervalued.
It has a strong balance sheet with a tiny net debt. If forecast profits for 2018 are anywhere near right then there could be a 25-30% upside to the shares.
They're the kind of shares that don't do much then suddenly get re-rated.
I also picked up some ITV this week - the shares have been savaged after fears of an advertising slowdown but at this kind of price you do wonder whether the company could get a bid out of the blue, looks like a good time to strike.
I added some more Zytronic (ZYT) - it couldn't manage to get above 600p but may have another go. A nice looking company with a decent cash pile.
Profits are increasing well, and so the dividend. Happy to add and suspect it may become a long-term hold. It does zig zag up and down but the general direction is nicely up.
I also added more NMC which has been a massive success and unbelievable just joined the FTSE 100, I wasn't expecting that! I even have some left in an isa I bought in the 500 area so nearly 5x my money there.
I've shorted Metro Bank . Along with Virgin Money I think these two banks are likely to be hit come any debt crisis. It has opened some very nice branches were others are closing them - but as a business decision not so good. You wonder what's going to happen to this bank if interest rates go up.
Onto sells, as mentioned above Paysafe has made me a fortune and the website too!
This was a massive holding for me having held since 166p in the rights issue and I have banked a lot of profit.
Indeed it is the biggest ever profit in one share banked for the website with a profit of well over £60,000 - and a whole lot more for me personally as I also had some massive spreadbets on it too.
A big slice of the shares were bought only 7-8 months ago, first started buying in late 2015.
It is really nice when a big holding gets the bid - and really it is what my trading is all about, trying to find something someone out there would want to buy. It is always in my mind on buying a share.
So I've sold around 60% of the shares and kept a few just in case of a rival bid. You never know.
Banked the last of the DIA for the site - I made more than £100,000 from this over the years and not sure why I held on to a last few shares bought many years ago. Time to wave goodbye for a final profit of £32,782. (I have kept a tiny amount in my isa as a souvenir)
I sold the high risk Purp as it bashed through target easily banking £4,345. Sadly I sold it too early as it went up another 40p. Possibly might re-enter this potential disruptor if it weakens - it is impossible to value for now so might be a likely re-entry point soon.
Share shorts were sold as they started to head up - Cake for a profit of £340 and Conviv for a loss of £120. Vec continued to disappoint with one of the main drugs having regulatory problems and have sold most now banking £4,248. While I made a lot on this one over the years could have made a lot more on selling the lot higher up instead of holding on. But it's not possible to get everything right.
Elsewhere over the summer Microgen has burst up - more than doubled quite quickly here. And lots of nice rises around including Everyman - and Burford has really spun higher. Looking ahead September can be a tricky month so there may be some volatility on the way.
I need to go to bed now! Next update will do a complete catch up with all sales and buys.
WEBSITE UPDATES TO YOUR MAILBOX
*** If you'd like my website updates sent direct to your mailbox (you get it first and a little earlier) plus the odd higher risk trade made for my pension, you can get that for either a smallish one off fee, or signing up for a service from Utility Warehouse. For details on either way of making sure you always see my updates first mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "mail service" in the subject line.
** Two Newer Spreadfirms I Use
It is hard to find a firm that does prices on the very small companies but this company does:

***
If you like to trade the FTSE, Dow, or currencies then Spreado has an outstanding tight 0.8 spread - that is incredibly tight. The platform is very good and robust and have used it to great satisfaction and profits.
You can sign up at this link which includes a decent market commentary:

I also use IG's spreadbetting service too along with other firms. Great execution of trades and nice trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.

As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are. Read Spreadbetting chapter in naked trader 4 which highlights the risks.

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets every other Thursday afternoon.
