If you buy the print copy you get the e-book free! The book is a total update since the last one which I wrote in 2011.There are tons of ideas, trader stories, psychology, biggest trading mistakes and 20 trading strategies to make money. Also loads of stuff I have learned over the last three years. New insights into trading tax free, tons of examples, a whole load of new traders' tales and some of the trades that have helped to make me well over £2 million tax free.

l knew when I'd be working on the September seminar it would mark the near end of summer, sigh. I hate winter. I know some people love hazelnuts by the fire and all that but personally give me a sunny pool. Still, Dubai is booked for right after the big day.

I look forwards to meeting some of you on Monday for the seminar which sold out some weeks ago (I am mighty flattered). Thanks to many of you for sending back the questionaire as the answers are very useful.

Btw there is still a little space left for Oct 12th seminar mail me for details. I have also just booked November 2nd if that date is a better one for you. Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com for details.

I hope you enjoy yourselves, lots of tea coffee, snacks and even some live waffle making for you throughout the morning to get you going. Should be an interesting day and you get to rifle through all my isa and spreadbet accounts!

Be great if we find the odd nice trade or two and looking forwards to teaching you how to time trades as well as finding companies with good potential, I have plenty for us to look at. With the market down there are tons of bargains out there to be found...!

I have a very decent lunch on offer and hope to chat to some of you over it and I should have full notes for you on stuff that happened as quick as I can. Understanding level 2 is the hardest bit but worth getting to grips with and many past students have told me how invaluable it has become.
Christopher's new football season has started and now
he's in the giddy heights of under 11's they've begun to have
the offside rule and play on a bigger pitch.
Tough for the small ones! They tend to all end up on one area of the pitch.
The Mrs arrived a bit late for the game. Like me, she hates the dads
that start shouting from the sidelines.
She spots a Dad who definitely did a bit of shouting last week.
"Goodness," she says.
"Look at that silly Dad running up and down waving his umbrella around at all the kids....
"For goodness sake what a total idiot!"
"Erm," I had to inform her.
"That's the linesman...."
To be fair we didn't have linesmen before. Alarmingly two of the dads were being linesmen.
I'm keeping a low profile in case they decide to require my services. I don't fancy running up and down the sidelines waving anything. Especially as I'm likely to turn a blind eye to offsides from our team and make a few bad throw in calls...
It's football, football and more football at the mo. Monday nights Christopher trains with Fulham FC. Wednesday it's school games and tournaments, usually miles away. Fridays it's Friday night fives. Saturdays it's training, Sundays it's a match. On top of that we have season tickets for Fulham.
When's the season over?
I was very pleased as Friday Night Fives coach to win the first two games. My coaching consists of "Score some goals, lads! Erm, usual positions!"
However we just lost the last one and it's my fault.
The other side's coach was very serious. So serious he had all these team talk huddles and frankly I am embarrassed to say I took the mickey out of him.
We were 3-1 up at half time and I smugly thought look at him all serious telling them what to do, I'm just going to give my lads some kit kats and go ha ha look at them in their silly huddle, who do they think they are, Man CIty?
Guess what happened next. Yes, we lost 5-3 after my kids had a massive sugar crash.
Serves me right and well done the other coach. That's it, next week I'm going to be just like Manuel Pelligrini. But probably not.
I decided now I'm ancient it's time for an heath checkup so booked one with Bupa.
Lovely waiting room sofas, very plush I must say. Was pretty impressed they went through everything.
They poked things in places they really shouldn't be poked. And did lots of tests.
The upshot is well not too bad. Cholesterol is very high but everything else is ok.
I have a 6.3 cholesterol. It is supposed to be under 5 but the country average is 5.5 . So most doctors would probably put me on statins.
However I hate taking drugs - and the side effects of statins are
well-known indeed I know two people who got terrible
side effects.
The very good doctor wasn't a fan of statins. So I'm not going to take them for now and drink cholesterol lowering yoghurt and do more exercise instead.
I'm also very suspicious of the amount of money made on
statins in various ways so there is pressure to get people
to take them. And I do wonder in the future whether there will
be a statins scare.
Anyway I'm out - if I peg it soon - then for god's sake take statins!!
The rest of the medical was ok. Something about kidney function being low but they think it's ok. But the bad news is a Twix ban. Stop eating Twixes all day (my current favourite).
Come on, I said. I'd rather die early than live a life one year more without twixes.
I have one final test. This involves, er , well I have to put bits of my own poo (gross!!!!!) onto a pad with a stick (Yuk!!!!!!) over THREE days.
Then send it off to them to check for bowel cancer. Pretty horrible but just one more day to go. Frankly probably better than to be on the other end of it.
Can you imagine being the one that has to open loads of packets of someone else's poo all day? What a s*** job...
Anyway eat less crap, exercise more, do more stretching, and probably go and see a specialist as I get tummy rumbles.
I am probably not going to die anytime soon and now I am dying for a Twix...
If you would like to come to the next seminar..it is Monday October 12th
(September 28th is sold out)
Mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Oct seminar interested". First 15 to book get a massive special discount of £240 off, the cheapest I have ever done it.

Beginners and improvers welcome! Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch, lots of sugary snacks, and even live chocolate waffle making in the teabreak!

My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.

A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!

Here's some feedback from from "D"

'It's obvious from his site Robbie Burns is a good market analyst and shrewd stock-picker. He is also a highly opinionated commentator on everything from TV shows to food. Therefore I expected his seminar to be 75% entertainment, 15% general exposition for beginners and-- if we were lucky-- 10% of something I could use to help me invest. But I could not have been more wrong.

The opinions on food and politics etc. though genuine, are I believe a bit of disguise or misdirection for there is a real touch of rebel genius here. And in the seminar, which is 95% hardball, he actually takes you candidly right into the mental process involved in his successful trading, making it a pretty amazing display, even showing his own investment accounts right there on the screen. You can see at once why so many of us are merely stabbing in the dark with our investments.

This is a genuine coaching session in how to trade like him if you put in the graft. I have only bought one stock since, as I am waiting for the tools he recommends, but I got the price down by using his tactics and I cannot recommend the seminar too highly if you are going there to learn. It must be taxing on him to let us at such length and in such detail into the process, which has made him so much money (for--unlike so many other so-called experts the seminars are not a day job). My advice therefore would be to sign up for this while he is still prepared to do it.'

Here is a plea from reader Martin:

My name is Martin Hopley and I would like to ask if anyone knows a literary agent and/or a publisher who can help get my books and my ambitions off the ground and help me to help myself get off benefits once and for all.

When I asked The Department for Work and Pensions for help, not only did they ignore me but when I filed an official complaint, they refused to explain their actions but were eventually forced to apologise twice for their behaviour. In a very long winded and quite frankly rude manner, this was the DWP saying, "We can't help you."

I was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 14, I survived 18 brain operations, diagnosed terminally ill at 17 and at the age of 37 I'm still not dead but my brain surgeon isn't sure why. I have a host of medical problems that can't be seen but I manage to live with myself so I have been living off benefits for 19 years and now I am desperate to get off them. For 5 years I gave talks to school children about my survival (which started after Robbie put an ad on his site) and have had a positive effect on everyone but I wasn't allowed to be paid because I was on benefits.

If you can help Martin please let me know!

****
When I left my full-time job to trade it really helped having another income: this I got from part-time selling energy and phone services to people and getting a cut of their use of their home services forever! I still get enough from it now to pay all my bills. I am a great believer in multiple incomes and this is a great one in my opinion as anyone could do it.

If you'd like a second part-time income click here

Naked Trader Seminar Latest News

OCTOBER 12TH NEAR HEATHROW
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on October 12th

Price is £650 plus vat. However there is a special massive discount offer of £240 off inc vat for first ten to book. Mail for details.
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "jUNE seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards!
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

Naked Rambling

The new style PMQ's made me laugh. Cameron must be loving it.
Corbyn has turned it into a soft radio phone in. "And now Emma from Barking.. she wants to know how the PM keeps his hair so silky and shiny."
"Well, Emma," says Cameron. "I have to give credit to my wife here who introduced me to Brylcreem for leaders. It keeps my hair soft, yet bouncy, giving it a full and luxurious appearance."
Corbyn: "Wayne from Peckham asks: If you keep cutting benefits for lazy dossers like me how do you expect me to get the latest I Phone - you can't expect me to use an older model?"
Cameron: "Afraid they'll just have to put up with an older one, poor things".
Corbyn: Now here's one from Phil who asks for your advice on how best to show affection to farm animals...."
The only person coming out badly from "Lord" Ashcroft's comments on Cameron is the Lord himself.
What a horrible man - we've all done crazy things in our youth, I certainly did. So to bring them up and add in as much pettiness as he could shows him up to be a real nasty little man.
I think, well good for Cameron. Have fun when you're young, why not? I can't imagine Corbyn doing it - but he's just a boring git.
The VW revelations are simply shocking. But let's face it VW isn't the only one that must have done it.
I suspect this isn't the end of the story and in the weeks to come other car firms will admit things. Got some shares in car companies? Might be wise to accelerate out.
One also wonders about other industries and other areas of business where various blind eyes are turned in an effort to make more profit. What on earth is next?
You don't think banks are possibly doing bad things do you?
You may have missed it but the Lib Dem conference is on this week. With its 8 MPs. Top of the agenda.... Should Mr Whippy vans be banned?
Nick Clegg popped up - I'd forgotten about him too. I have a suspicion at some point he's going to resign his seat probably at just the wrong time for the Lib Dems.
He has that look in his eye of revenge. There's a resignation or a book coming before the next election. I bet he's not an MP by then.
Big Brother pretty much folded in the last week. Once the shouty US girl had been turfed out we were just left with the shouty boy.
And all the shouting just became really tedious and thank goodness it's been brought to a close.
I think they should do just one a year and get a real high calibre of "celebrity". Just pay them whatever they want.
Better less "celebries" but bigger names. Just shut 8 of them up. Give them little to do and see what happens.
The series about a psycho bunny boiling doctor Dr Foster is a bit on the silly side with gaping plot holes and unbelievable lines. (And a really quite horrible sex scene).
However if you try and forget those things it is quite entertaining.
Narcos continues to be a brilliant watch on Netflix. I thought I'd try again with Dr Who. But I switched on and saw (yawn) a fecking Dalek.
We know the Daleks never win and never kill the Doctor even though their plungers stare right at him.
Go. On. Kill The Feckin Doctor!!!! Yeah!!! Let's see the Daleks rule the world Ahhhh ha ha !!
Facebook has developed a "dislike button"
Can I press it to show my feelings for the whole of Facebook? Make that Twitter too.
Can't stand either of them and I don't waste what precious time I have left on this planet on them.

I've taken a bet on a massive outsider for Strictly CD, Anita Rani

She's a massive price and I took a spreadbet, I'll even
make a few quid if she comes fourth.
Good place for spreadbets and fixed odds for sport is here...

Good quick execution of bets and a great range of markets. Recommended!

Naked Mail

Dave writes :
I agree with comments about Dr Who and Breaking Bad. I used to enjoy Dr. Who years ago but I think it's worn out, it's all about celebrity now, like everything else on telly.

I recently was enjoying the Sopranos a friend let me borrow (fascinating story lines) and my son Rob in Australia (an irrelevance to you of course), he said if you like Sopranos you'll love Breaking Bad. Wow was he ever right. I got the full set from Amazon (apart from the last season). I'm having to eke it out it's so brilliant I don't want it to end, that's the sad bit. What about the uncle in the desert in the wheelchair with the bell strapped to the arm of the chair, the missus and me just fell about and many more just brilliant set ups dragging out every emotion.

Agree Dave, love Breaking Bad. Only five to go for me and I won't spoil what happens for you except it gets more and more addictive!
Gary writes :
"For throwing your heart, soul and energy into one fact-packed, full-on and exhaustingly educational day: FIVE stars with no hesitation!!
Met some really nice people too - like me, nervous that it was the most we'd ever spent on a whole day of anything (had we made arses of ourselves?) But no one felt short-changed, especially when you were still going strong when we all wanted to go to bed! One of your delegates, Susan, back for a second time, said to me unequivocally, "you will go away absolutely inspired." I can't disagree.
Thanks Gary, hope you make some money!

Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.

The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.

I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!

Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!

Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !

Thanks Gabriel!

Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.

I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites

genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance
Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!

Markets

EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too. This includes asking me what to do with a share, what I might "think" about a share, or deconstructing any of the buys I mention here. I would be grateful, see FAQ for more on this. Of course more than happy to answer general questions not related to specific shares.

****
COPYING TRADES: I can't stop you from copying a trade I made but remember the price may already be a lot higher than I paid indeed I hope it is as buying at good prices is what I do for a living. You may be buying at the top and could easily lose money. Also I can make terrible mistakes and have done in the past. I could also sell before you or before the share tanks. I may still be holding in a year when you sold at a loss. Always do your own research, don't jump in blindly. Market makers are very clever at knowing how to make you pay top dollar and then push you out at a loss. This site is about sensible investment and learning how to trade sensibly and is not a tipping site. Beware. Never push buy on anything till you've done proper research and got yourself a sensible price.
****
So the markets continue to be bonkers.
Like a drunken alkie staggering up and down the street.
Who knows where he's going, which direction he's
going to take or where he's going to end up.
What I do know, if you are tempted into volatile shares in
this market it's the same as entering a casino and
the house will beat you.
If you pick the right shares, stick with them and ignore
the movements you might be fine.
What I am saying is the more you trade right now the
more you will probably lose. Trade less, make more.
Remember everyone out there only makes money if you trade.
That includes everyone making you trade. The bulletin board
guru wanting you to buy his or her shares.
The twitter
feeds, the TV journos, and worse, the internet
tipsters who need to pump out as many tips as possible
and create headlines so they can make money out
of you.
The main thing they want is publicity of any kind.
Follow them at your peril.
Best thing to do? Don't look at bulletin boards, twitter
facebook, Bloomberg. Clear them all out.
Make your own decisions. Be logical. Follow the
steps in my book. Only buy when the time is right. Ignore
them all.
The worst thing you could do right now is try and be clever
and spreadbet shares up and down and try and get on the
right side of movements. And especially if you use
leverage.
Here's a trader who wants to share his experiences
His summer was so bad not only is he finished as a trader but he can't pay the spreadbet firm he owes money to. Here's what he says:

"I think I broke all rules and because of that I'm done with trading, because if I can't be logically then I will lose money.

So I've not had a bad run recently on longs and shorts. Making real money and progress, following the charts and flows of the market.
But then decide to invest in a share because it looked cheap, then it fell with the China news, but instead of selling I hung and stupidly averaged down too.
Then on that bad Monday I felt the floor fall away when the markets opened. My positions were closed by the spreadbet firm, any profit gone and now in debt by thousands.
I've never felt so stupid, so now I have to write or call them with a heavy heart to find out how to pay them in installents, if they do that.
I should never have relied on margin as black swan or market moves like this can punish you, if you don't follow the basic rules."

I suspect my reader's story was echoed around the nation.
What basic rules is he talking about? Where did he go wrong?
If the market is falling either stop out fast or decide you're holding. Never average down. You could end up just making losses even bigger.
But above all, don't overuse the leverage given out by spreadbet and CFD companies.
On a number of days this summer stocks fell so fast if you were heavily leveraged you'd have been called or emailed and asked for money
If you didn't have the money then your positions would have been closed like the trader above and you'd be expected to pay up. If you can't pay up these debts are enforceable by law and injunctions can be taken out against you.
Remember in effect "leverage" is just borrowing money. It's very seductive trying to make back losses quickly - but the market knows and will punish you.
My plan is to always hold excellent companies with low volatility outside of the FTSE, oil, gas, energy and mining. Get out fast if I got an original entry point wrong and hold for years if I get it right to make the big money.
Indeed I've had a pretty good couple of weeks and made
a few quid. The FTSE short I told you about last time
has really paid off well from 6270 down to 5980. I took
a great profit on it.
I've bought some Alumasc (ALU). This one looks to be in the middle of a rerating and deservely so.
Profit is up 15% and it's moved into a net cash position. It is benefitting from a much improved demand from UK construction.
It seems to be re-focusing, getting rid of some poor performing businesses which means its debt has now gone.
Dividend is up substantially and unless the market as a whole really tanks it looks to have some decent upside of 25% or so.
It is certainly breaking out very strongly - a break through 200p would be very promising for a rise up to 225p area quite quickly barring a market collapse but I feel fair value is around 250p so for me plenty of upside left.
I think a lot of investors find it hard to buy a share that has already risen a lot - but believe me - it's often better buy something that's gone up!
ALU goes ex dividend next Thursday for a very decent 3.5p
dividend, so that to look forward to.

I bought Regenersis (RGS) . A return to a share I made some money on before and a bit of a loss too. This one has strongly come back onto my buy radar with major upside potential.
This one looks extremely good value, with some good profits and net cash the current valuation looks too low and I'm looking for a re-rating back up to at least the 220p level so I think there is massive upside.
Several things catch the eye here: it's trying to turn itself around by focussing on digital security software (a hot sector).
It's bought up software firm Tabernus and it is strengthening its board with some nice looking appointments.
But best of all is a phrase I have come to love.
"Exploring strategic options". Last time this phrase was mentioned at AGA, six months later the shares were bid for and I made a fortune.
It is hoping to sell its aftercare business to re-focus - that would release tons of cash and probably a massive special dividend and that could be the catalyst to re-rate the shares significantly.
Indeed with patience, I think there may even be the chance of doubling my money here over a couple of years. Time will tell!
As I mentioned last time Entertainment One (ETO) looked a superb buy with great support in the 265 area and I bought some at 273.42 to add to my collection of the shares from the 60p area.
The seller has now gone and the shares picked up by a conservative Canadian pension fund.
So the overhang has gone, the pension fund won't be selling for a couple of years and if the share price hangs below 300p for too long a bid from a big US content provider or TV or film outfit would be no surprise.
The price today of under 300 could look a steal very soon.
I've shorted AA - (bet on it to go down) - the statement was so so but the outstanding problem here is the massive net debt of nearly three billion.
Shares have already come back a lot but I think more falls to come for AA with a fair value for me being still another 50p of downside.
I haven't a clue why shares in Nahl (NAH) dipped but glad they did as I picked up some more, looked like a shake or a badly executed sell. Anyhow glad I did.
A very confident statement indeed from Nahl where all is going right. Best of all and always good to see is a dividend hike. Around 335 at the mo, I think they could go to 450 in time.

I took part profit on Kainos (KNOS) and then bought back! I got lucky here as the shares had flown higher it made sense to bank some (at 225.82) for a profit of £705 but then they slipped (Looked like a messy seller) and bought some back at 207.75 where they have been sitting for a bit.
A similar story with Quantum Pharma (QP.) - I hadn't intended on buying more but I couldn't resist the sudden drop yesterday and picked up a few more for the long-term. A great story this one.
With the bid for Jelf looking done and dusted I'm out for a fantastic profit making a profit of £5,212 from the shares bought last year and £656 profit from the shares bought this May.
So overall from my two site positions a profit of a lovely £5,868.
Farewell Jelf and all the best for your future!
Red reached close to target so was sold for a profit of £1,023.Keeping an eye on to buy back.
And Poundland kept on going down so hit a trailing stop for a profit of £273 .
Since then shares have gone down more and a placing today means there is a good chance to buy back coming up, just looking for the right price. (A pound would be nice)
All that selling up shows a combined profit for the website of £7,869.
Recent buys are going pretty well. Powerflute has gone up nicely and should get up and over 100p at some point soon though will probably take some pushing.
Photo-me is holding nicely in the mid 150s after a little rise
and P2P2 has been rising gently.
Carclo looks like it wants to push over 150 .
I think Dignity probably gets my vote for my fave share of the year so far up from 1700 to near 2400 giving me in reality profits of over £30,000 as I built up a substantial stake. I now just keep a trailing stop on it 250 points away from the action. It's continued to rise or hold steady in down markets.

Pets At Home has made me purr this year personally up more than £20,000 as those of you who came to the seminar saw on the spreadbets!

Renew has done well now over 300 and holds nicely in choppy markets.. Energy Assets up a quid and a half and produced a good update recently. OPG is a longer-term winner, potential double coming up there. That one seems back on the rise.

Long-termer Vectura has had a good run this year and now doubled and a half on my first buy. This week it is having a good run. With patience, I think personally I'm going to make more than £100,000 on it. The shares are sitting on close to a high now but finding 180 a struggle to get through,
Optimal Pay has had an excellent few days - seems to have
left 300 behind. The lovely GB Group just keeps on going and been in since 20p. To see it with another nought on the end is sensational. I still think it will end up being bid for - but in the meantime sits at highs. .

** Two Newer Spreadfirms I Use

FOR SMALL COMPANIES:

It is hard to find a firm that does prices on the very small companies but this company does:

http://www.spreadex.com/nakedtrader

It does spreads on smaller ones other companies don't like Xeros so worth having an account for that, been using it for a while and very happy so far. They also have an Ipad offer at the moment which is on that link.

TIGHTEST SPREAD FOR TRADING THE FTSE/DOW ETC

If you're into trading indices this one is the cheapest with just a 0.8 spread which is fantastic - execution is top too

http://www.spreadco.com/nakedtrader/

If you start using them and find any problems please let me know.
I also use IG's spreadbetting service too along with other firms. Great execution of trades and nice trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.

http://www.ig.com/nakedtrader
As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

Capital Spreads offer

Capital Spreads offers a really excellent book on spreadbetting for those who open accounts through the link below. Spreads are very tight and every trade has to have a stop loss which is excellent discipline to have especially for beginners. Execution is really good I find and they also allow shorts on shares it is hard to get shorts on like say Carpetright or facebook.

E-mail subscription service

If you want to get the contents of The Naked Trader website into your mailbox instead of waiting for the update to come through, plus exclusively news on the progress of my SIPP from the old Sunday Times column inc new higher risk Aim buys made for that, e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with SIPP in the subject line for details of how to get it.

Telecom Plus Offer

Want to quit the rat race? Try and start a new source of income so one day you can tell the boss to stuff it? You could do what I did to escape my grotty office job and become an independent distributor for the Utilities Discount Warehouse.
You get to sell great broadband, phone packages and energy to friends, relatives, contacts and anyone else you find and you get cash for each sale but more importantly you get a cut of their spend EVERY MONTH for as long as they are a customer!
It's called residual income and is a far better way to enjoy a ripe old age than relying on a pension. Because even after you stop selling the money STILL comes in!
I still get paid EVERY MONTH for sales I made back in 1999! Every time a customer uses broadband or the phone or switches on a light you get paid.
It's a great business and backed by a stock market company (Telecom Plus), a dedicated team of advisors.. and me to help you on your way!
Not only do you get paid out every month for each customer you can take on distributors. encourage them like I do and get paid on their sales as well.
One day, say you could made redundant, needed a year off or wanted to retire early can you imagine what joy it is to have the regular income coming in. It's wonderful.
You have to work at it, but if you do genuine repeat wealth could be yours. I did it. You can too. For full details, why not email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com.

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets every other Thursday afternoon.
