Next seminar with me and live markets is Friday January 18th at Heathrow, if you are interested in getting the new year off to a great start with a day with me mail me with "January seminar interested". There is a tasty early bookers discount on offer!

Two Great Must Have New Trading Diaries

I recommend two brilliant trading diaries for your desk! Of course the first is Naked Trader Diary 2013

What's in it? Well, I hope everything a trader or investor could want!

All the hot dates for 2013, like ex dividend dates, likely company reporting dates, sporting events, and even an arrow for each day telling you whether that day has been strong or not in the past. There is also my thought of the week for each week of the year, and some looks at companies reporting on particular weeks.

Oh and there are fun bits too of course, and lots of cartoons! (And it is a great Xmas gift for the trader in your life)

If you'd like to order The Naked Trader Diary 2013 for next day delivery you can just click this link here:

As a complement to my diary, consider the excellent Stock Market Almanac 2013.

This is a tremendous stock market reference diary - really essential for anyone serious about their trading. There is some brilliant research and loads of market facts like ric codes, a timetable of the trading day, tons of lists to help you with your research.

In fact it should answer any question you have about the market. There are all the key dates and tons of analysis too for all the different parts of the year. Each page of the diary is accompanied by a short article including seasonality analysis for days and months; momentum investing analysis for shares, sectors and market indices and many more.

Talking books Clem Chambers has a new financial thriller out this week, a review of that is coming up!

In an hour's time guess where I will be off to?

Somewhere I hadn't expected to be going till we got an invite yesterday!

I am off to Chelsea Football Club for tonight's game against Fulham!

A friend of Mrs NT's who is a massive Chelsea fan and even goes to all the away games even in Europe too has invited me, Mrs NT and Christopher to the game !

Not only that we get to eat in the extremely posh and amazing Chelsea restaurant in the ground which serves incredible food.

Christopher was wild with excitement when we told him he was going.

He is going to be amazed at the difference between a small club like Fulham and a massive one like Chelsea.

We won't be sitting right on the pitch like he is used to but way up high somewhere.

He of course has been told he cannot wear his Fulham kit given we are right in the middle of the Chelsea fans nor can he celebrate in the unlikely event of Fulham scoring a goal !

Actually he is good at this because when we were with the QPR fans at the Fulham away game with our QPR fans he never moved a muscle when Fulham scored.

Oh and nor can he shout "Come on Fulham!" Well let's hope he doesn't... not that it matters.. after all the Chelsea fans will be too busy booing their own manager! Boooo !

It will be a weird thing for him to have his choice of the most amazing half time snacks rather than the usual bag of crisps.

He did have a Fulham hot dog last year but like all of us who ever tried one, you only ever eat one once....

He is so excited about this and we hope to have a brilliant night tonight even though we know we will lose. It's going to be great fun and we can't wait !

Meanwhile on the pitch itself the lad got the Man of the Match award for his game on Sunday knocking two goals in.. he even gets a little trophy...

And he got his first ever decent mention in Alpha dad's massively long match reports. Alpha coach wrote:

"Christopher delivered his best game so far. He moved well and finally look comfortable on the big pitch, stayed upfront and scored two very good goals. He needs to work on his first touch, he usually lets the ball passing him and then run, he needs to learn to control the ball better and make a quick pass for the upcoming midfielders. Very happy for him, could see he enjoyed the game and his game. He is also Man of the Match this week."

Ah, we are proud of that - but well, he does need to work on his first touch.

The Mrs says I need to work on my first touch too. What on earth can she mean?

Hasn't Xmas come way too early this year? Every time I turn on the radio there is Xmas music on.. in the middle of November. This is terrible.

Starbucks kicked off with its Xmas music and Xmas cups on Nov 1st.

I guess whether you are a radio station or a cafe it is assumed Xmas music will make your audience happy/you will buy more coffee.

I find it irritating and I am less likely to buy coffee and the guilty station gets turned off.

Though to be fair I hate Xmas music. Come on, be honest it is terrible. There are so many bad ones but the two worst have to be "Last Xmas" and "Having a wonderful Xmas time" arrrgghhhhhhhh !!

Anyway time for a new law: No Xmas music allowed till December the 12th. Anyone found flouting it has to eat a portion of sprouts every day till Xmas. Yeeeeuuuu.

Look forwards to seeing some of you at my seminar on Friday November 30th.

I always end up enjoying them. Every one ends up being a bit different as it all depends on who is there and sometimes there are some very different roads we end up in.

Often seminars are also great for my trading as inevitably in all that time some shares come up that I might not otherwise have spotted and researched.

In the years I've been doing them I remember some fantastic ones popping on screens, the best one was the seminar where Mulberry kept appearing at 250... I remember buying the following Monday and although I sold out too early at 950 it was a tremendous profit. And the other really good one was Dialight that was 150 at the seminar and pushes 1200 now. Microgen was also a goodie I remember.

So selfishly hoping to discover something new myself! Those of you coming doors open 9.30am... follow the signs to Naked Trader..

Please come and register first from 9.30am and then find a seat - coffees will be there waiting for you..... And there's another load of coffee and tea and egg and bacon rolls due to arrive at 11am.

Hopefully something nice for lunch and then more snacks a bit later.

Please do not worry if you are late, it's easy to get delayed Mrs NT will direct you to a seat.

Grab a coffee and just relax, I promise to be gentle with you all. I hope you all enjoy the day, as it's live from the markets who knows what will come up. And as you know I talk plain English with none of that idiotic jargon. See you there!

If you missed this one glad to announce a new date and that is Friday January 18th at Heathrow.

If you are interested email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "January Seminar interested" in the subject line - there is an early bookers discount on offer!
Beginners and improvers welcome! Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch!

If you mail me I will then send you details and a full agenda of what is covered. Also more details below somewhere.

My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.

A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!

Follow Up Seminars

A follow up with me will be sometime next year, I'll publish a date when I book one! You must have been on a previous basic one of mine to qualify.

Sunday December 9th is the date for another technical analysis seminar with Susan who for many years has made decent money full time by using simple TA. She will teach you all about it in an easy and simple way to help improve buy and sell decisions.

If you're interested in that one email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "TA interested"

*** New Book Review ***

Clem Chambers, CEO of advfn has a new book out: "The first horseman"
I've loved his other thrillers and this one continues his tales (this is the fourth) of Jim Evans - an amazing trader who reads charts so well he knows what is going to happen next (lucky b

) and so has made a huge fortune. But the money tends to lead him towards some scary adventures..
I thought I would relax with this one and read it over a week but it had me so gripped I read it in a day - it is just one of those page turners - you can't wait to read what happens next!
In this one Jim is asked to donate mega money to a scientist who has developed a way to elongate life by decades.

However part of the plan involves killing off an awful lot of people. Well, how many people would you kill to live to 300? It's a rip roaring, exciting read. If you're into trading especially worth buying Clem's series of Jim Evans books starting with The Armageddon Trade. So.. a very entertaining thriller which I highly recommend. Amazon link to order it is here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Clem-Chambers/e/B0034OKF36
Lots of lovely feedback on the last event including this from Janet: "Thank you so much for what was a terrific 12 hour marathon on your part. I feel like I have been through a 12 hour therapy session that has given me back some confidence. I now feel I can indeed make trading work for me, after a few years of trying and testing and not quite comprehending and co-ordinating the right ingredients. The last late session researching various companies was a real help."

And Colin: "Highlights of the day for me were Level 2 and going through the selection process to choose shares. I have followed advice from your book in the past, and it really has worked for me before, but even though I understood the concept of Level 2 I never quite saw the real benefits of it. Two minutes into your explanation of how you use it I was kicking myself. I could not believe that I had done all my trades without it! Watching you check some shares was very useful, especially the speed which you can eliminate or shortlist the numerous possibilities out there. Just watching you doing it showed me how much time I had been wasting doing the same thing but by a much more torturous process."

* The all new edition of my book Naked Trader 3 is out now !!!

Lots of new strategies including my top 20, lots more mistakes to avoid, loads of new trader tales, cartoons and a bit of fun too.

I hope you all enjoy it - and can tell I put a lot of effort into it and I really hope if it just stops one person from making the mistakes I did it will be worthwhile.

Indeed I hope the book is worth it even if you read about other people's stories, it is amazing how so many make exactly the same mistakes.

Anyhow if you buy it I hope you enjoy it! Click here:

Spreadbetting firm Tradefair Spreads has upped its offer exclusively to Naked Trader readers to a £100 credit. This offer is exclusive to me and not available anywhere else...
I've been using them for a few weeks to check that I'm happy with the service. As you know I don't take ads or allow referrals on the site unless it's a company I've used and I feel confident about.
What I like about it is it's easy to use, spreads are surprisingly tight on the smaller companies and interestingly an automated stop loss is applied to each trade - so beginners know what their max loss is from the outset.
Anyway they now offer a £100 credit as long as you deposit £100. You get the credit after you placed 5 trades (Terms and conditions apply)
If you'd like to apply for an account with Tradefair Spreads and get the freebie click this link:

I use IG Index for betting on the very small companies, the only spreadbet firm I can find that does the smaller ones making it possible to trade AIM cos tax free.

Naked Trader Seminar Latest News

**** BOOKING OPEN FOR FRIDAY JANUARY 18TH *****
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on Jan 18th

Price is £590 plus vat. That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc. There is currently a decent early bookers discount off that price - mail for details!
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "Nov seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards! You might even get to see the amazing crocodile boots . . . .
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

£100 Tradefair offer

I've started using Tradefair for spreadbetting - I like the auto generated stop losses which help to maintain discipline and that's good for beginners I think. And exclusively for Naked Trader readers they upped the offer to £100 credit.
So there's now a £100 credit on offer for anyone opening an account via me. You get that after 5 spreadbets (terms and conditions apply)

Naked Rambling

A school head teacher has seen sense and banned all mobile phones at his school.

This has worked a treat he says - the pupils have got used to it, they work better and the school feels a better place.

He says a total ban was better than a partial because otherwise rules became blurred. Anyone taking a phone out while on premises gets the phone confiscated for a week.

Well done! There is no real need for anyone to have a phone while at school, millions were educated before they existed.

As you know I don't own a mobile.

If you want to talk to me leave a message on my home phone. And I might get back to you when I feel like it!

People think mobiles are indispensable. But actually they are a little tyrant in your pocket wanting constant attention. Dump it and free yourself from its tryanny !

I laughed my head off when early last week Harry Rednapp claimed to be interested in the job of managing the Ukraine team!

Harry as he admits himself can hardly write so I can't quite imagine him picking up much Ukranian !

He must be a good poker player - his brilliant move forced the hand of Qpr.

"Better get me now or I am off to Ukraine!"

(I can't imagine Mrs Harry being especially happy about weeks in the Ukraine).

But lucky Qpr have picked up a top manager and maybe they will escape the drop. As Fulham fans of course we are pleased to see the overrated Hughes get his comeuppance. Fulham wasn't good enough for him apparently....!

How does Homeland do it? The series always looks like it is about to "Jump the shark" as they say in the TV world.. ie about to become too silly for it to be believable any more.

But it does and good news the two main actors are both Brits! The Americans can hardly believe it when they find out..

Peep Show feels like it has been away for ages, its return it welcome though here and there some of the lines are a bit too "clever clever".

Discarding a few off key lines though it is great fun. I guess it shows all of us teeter on the brink of madness from time to time....

Harry and Paul had an off night - almost as if their worst bits are shown in the second last of the series to set us up for a good series finale.

Their piss take of Dragons Den is really good.

Talking Dragons Den as it competes with Homeland six episodes are awaiting in the Sky Plus box.

I wonder how many times Duncan has invested in those shows. Let me guess: none of them?

Two BBC news 24 readers are having an affair apparently. BBC bosses have ordered they cannot share a "slot" together.

Surely the horse has bolted on that one as a slot surely has been shared a few times...

Or maybe bosses think they will have an on air row...

I'm a C*** remains in the Sky box, waiting to be watched. But with so much good stuff on, I suspect I'll just end up deleting it.

I guess none of the attention seeking "celebs" really interest me given I don't watch Coronation Street, or darts or anything about any of the celebs.

Anyway it cost me a few quid in two bets on Colin Baker. Obviously I blame the reader who gave me the tip !

All I can say about Baker now is: "Exterminate!"

Via this link Open a Sporting Index account and there's £100 cash offer - please check terms and conditions which apply.

http://www.sportingindex.com/?tpid=6755
Do remember if you do bet you ought to treat sports spreadbetting as entertainment - and expect to lose! Also with spreadbetting work out what your max loss could be and make sure you can afford it! In other words if you say backed the favourite at 15 for a fiver and they come nowhere your max loss is £75.

Agree about facebook - the youngsters who leapt onboard when it started,
posting dire photos of them doing things they shouldn't are now grown up and
getting on in their careers and errrrrr wondering if that photo of them
mooning in the disco in Majorca was a good idea!

Nice to think I am not the only unsociable grump to not want to follow the
minutiae of my friends and colleagues mostly boring lives!

I am in the states just now and feel the Starbucks asking name thing is just
more marketing bollocks to get them noticed. If they just speeded up the
service I might go there but americans seem to need all this 'service
bollocks' to make them think they are getting their moneys worth.

Thanks Anne,
well of course I agree, it's nearly all bollocks!

Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.

The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.

I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!

Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!

Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !

Thanks Gabriel!

Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.

I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites
saying how great an event was. Now I'm one of those people!. I
genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance

Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!
Stephen writes:
I read your book and did the course - and I wasn't sure if I'd recoup the cost, it's been 2 years and I've made £38k + saved a loss transferring a Jupiter ISA heavily invested in BP. I can't tell you how important this is or how grateful I am. That's just me, who knows how much people have made with your help and saved by not making mistakes. I wanted to get into shares as they recovered after the crunch, but I assumed I had to put a large amount in one company I thought would make a big jump.
But what happens when you make £1m on the website, will you still do courses? I don't know how you do your ISA and SIPP investments, write the website, books, courses and answer e-mails. But please don't give it up. Couldn't you do the courses and have a standing website which gets updated with your trades say once a month so people can see what you do..

Stephen thanks so much for such a nice mail and much appreciated! Dunno about the future, I feel like I'm getting jaded. It's possible I might just reduce it all at some point to twice a month after going weekly - that would probably help. The other problem is other people's angst is getting to me and the email workload becoming overwhelming. I think after ten years it might be time for me to quit. Anyway good luck with your trades and hope you make a lot more.

Markets

Well, as I've been saying for a while they continue in a tight range, with some bigger moves but all in all?

Well, really, it is a whole lotta nothing!

I even perhaps wonder whether the markets are really about the right level for everything we know.

It doesn't matter to me really, in fact I prefer a tight range as it doesn't stop good stocks going up.

I have loads of shares sitting and waiting for the right entry point and will be going through some of those at Friday's seminar. (If you missed this one there is a new date of Jan 18th, mail me if you are interested in that one).

Everything is pretty much doing nicely so it's been a nice quiet week, in the main feet up, toast in hand, lovely!

I don't understand people who madly trade stocks up and down all day. All that stress and work for probably little reward. Or no reward at all in most cases I should wager.

Avon Rubber (AVON) - look try not to get excited when I write the word rubber. You've been reading that 50 Shades haven't you....

It is rubber masks I am talking about... ooops got you going again didn't I?

Anyway been in this long-term and in super profits now from positions built from the low 200s - however rather than taking profits I have added some more at 344.

An excellent statement from the company - profits are going up and debt is going down and they have two solid businesses - even after recent rises they look undervalued so I think a rise up to the 4 quid area looks on the cards. So I think there is another ten per cent available short-term. Long-term patience might give a lot more than that.

Remember Ocado? I made a shedload from shorting that one a while back. It was floated on the market at a ridiculous price somewhere in the late 200s. I stated here then I thought the shares were only worth 50p and had a merry time shorting them.

What do I think they are worth now? 30 ! My view is it is a business model that won't work - I took the opportunity of a rise and shorted them again this time at 74. Only a matter of time till they hit 50p. (Shorting means I am betting they go down).

Also remember Anite? (AIE) Another I had a good run with from time to time. They have had a good run and I tried before to get an entry point. With 129 looking like good support for the shares I'm looking for slightly shorter-term gains here so gone for a spreadbet on it at 134.

If Anite shares can break out here there could be a very nice run up - support is there in the 129 area now, so it will be interesting to see. Long-term this company continues to look very attractive.

Hmmm, well I could wait till Mid Dec for 70p on Corin or take 69p now, well for a pee I might as well take the last of the profits so I have banking a profit of £860.

Long termer GB gave out an excellent report but I top sliced a little to bank a profit of £1,125. However it is a fraction of the amount of shares I have amassed since 22p in my sipp and happily hold the rest. For web purposes closed the last position. A great long-termer though and once profit takers are out of the way could shortly be a nice time to load up with a fresh batch. Indeed if it hits the early 90s I am topping up again!

That's a profit banked for the website of £1,985

Portfolio Highlights

Nice reports again from several holdings. And a number went ex-dividend today so they are down because of that. (Remember when a share goes ex div it tends to fall by the amount of the div)

Aga confirmed it has sorted out long-term funding a deal on its pension deficit which sees it not having to make any new payments for a couple of years. Makes the shares undervalued under 80p I think and a nice profit slowly burning there. Indeed the shares seem to gradually flame higher daily. Let's hope they don't go off the boil (groan etc etc)

St ives reported another great statement. All on track with this printer that has really changed to embrace modern tech, I think the shares are worth nearer 150 than 100. It went ex dividend today so a nice cheque coming my way.

Cloud computer Iomart also reported, super profits coming in now and the only way is up - whether that's in the short term I don't know but longer term hoping for a rerating up to 3 quid.

Creston reported today - considering they are in PR they could have put a better spin on it! Profits to be the same as last year but the future looks good and WPP keeps building a stake and no surprise if they got taken over at some point not so far away. Good profits here.

And the brilliant Greencore reported, another good one, more to come - more than three grand profits here and pondering a top up.

Telecom Plus went ex dividend for 13p today and I'll be getting a nice cheque for more nearly £6,000 shortly. I think this one will just continue to grow and grow and one day will be in the ftse 100. Website profits of well over £100,000 and personal profits of nearly £300,000.

Vectura is on the rise again a good drugs pipeline here and it has tons of cash - could be a future very big star and hoping to hold on longer term.

Carclo has been rising strongly and back over 400p. Its CIT technology looks a winner and the shares could easily have a massive run up from here given time and patience. Nice profits on this one.

Chime too has been on the up in the last week or so still in this from 50p so a nice times four and a great profit on the ones bought more recently in the 140s and the spreadbet

Dialight struggles to get over 1100 but directors are confident and have been buying another one I just continue to hold long term and not worry about the ups and downs. Profits are well over £100,000 on it. I remember so well buying these at 150 ish at a seminar in 2009 ! I never thought I'd still have them three years later at over a tenner.

The Vitec Group is improving and seems on an undeserved low rating, Trifast has held nicely at higher levels, can it make that push up into the 50s ? I still think it is terribly cheap under 60p. If its next statement continues the good news a rerating up into the 60s is possible bringing with it big percentage gains.

Coastal is on the way back up after a takeover approach ended - and in a forward looking statement this week it showed what an amazing company it is and it should easily go over the very low ball offer soon.

Direct Line has proved a nice winning trade. It now heads over 200 and a good dividend and it might turn into a decent long-term winner.

An. continues to motor up and must be seen as a bid target now after rejecting a low ball offer.

LOQ shares which announced a brilliant contract win in the Netherlands - massive profits in this one where I have trebled my money but I feel more to come! It has cracked 300 for sure, can it get to 400?

In the shorts department Abcam cracked and continues to fall, not really sure when to take profits but it could head another 30p lower.

Sepura has also gone ex dividend and continues to go for it. Nichols continues to slowly rise day by day and profits are now rolling in nicely... I'm hopeful of a bid at around the tenner mark.

I've been getting e-mails regarding my use of direct market access and who I use. I've tried a few and for me the easiest system for me is here:
http://www.igmarkets.co.uk/?QPID=1079&QPPID=1
Direct market access means you can place orders directly onto the order book bypassing brokers and market-makers with a chance to buy at the "sell" price. I would suggest you ensure you know what you're doing first but IG does provide much education with its "tradesense" educational tool which comes with it.
I also use its spreadbetting service too along with other firms like Tradefair because it now provides trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.

As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

£100 Tradefair offer

I've also started using Tradefair for spreadbetting - I like the auto generated stop losses which help to maintain discipline and that's good for beginners I think. And exclusively for Naked Trader readers they upped the offer to £100 credit.
So there's now a £100 credit on offer for anyone opening an account via me. You get that after 5 spreadbets (terms and conditions apply).

Telecom Plus Offer

Want to quit the rat race? Try and start a new source of income so one day you can tell the boss to stuff it? You could do what I did to escape my grotty office job and become an independent distributor for the Utilities Discount Warehouse.
You get to sell great broadband, phone packages and energy to friends, relatives, contacts and anyone else you find and you get cash for each sale but more importantly you get a cut of their spend EVERY MONTH for as long as they are a customer!
It's called residual income and is a far better way to enjoy a ripe old age than relying on a pension. Because even after you stop selling the money STILL comes in!
I still get paid EVERY MONTH for sales I made back in 1999! Every time a customer uses broadband or the phone or switches on a light you get paid.
It's a great business and backed by a stock market company (Telecom Plus), a dedicated team of advisors.. and me to help you on your way!
Not only do you get paid out every month for each customer you can take on distributors. encourage them like I do and get paid on their sales as well.
One day, say you could made redundant, needed a year off or wanted to retire early can you imagine what joy it is to have the regular income coming in. It's wonderful.
You have to work at it, but if you do genuine repeat wealth could be yours. I did it. You can too. For full details, why not email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com.
An overview is also available at http://www.utilitywarehouse.org.uk/fabdeal you can sign up directly there but do tell me! (Click become a distributor and follow links)

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time.
Trades first reported Wednesday afternoons under "Markets" section..
