Kids football is the best

***Spend A Day With Me In March!***

My next seminar is on Friday March 1st near Heathrow. If you want details on that seminar email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "March seminar interested" in the subject line and I'll send you details, there is an early bookers' discount available, more details below too.

And there is a follow up on March 22nd for those who have been to a seminar already - we do level 2, live trading, research, finding new companies and timing tricks all day! Mail me with "follow up interested" in the subject line.
*****
Well it is back to routine now after the holidays...

Kids need routine don't they so it is fine...

Christopher my 8-year-old scored a hat trick in the game at the weekend.

Our amazing Italian coach shouted instructions at all the lads to the amusement of the opposing team.

Indeed as a member of the rival team was travelling at speed up the pitch he shouted "Stop him!"

He shouts instructions at the boys all the time and they love it!!

Meanwhile I could hear the rival coach on his mobile phone. "We're losing seven one," he muttered.

In the match report Christopher was described as a "predator of the box". I think that's good.

All in all the kids game was a way more entertaining game than the one we watched at Fulham Vs Wigan. Considering how much the players get paid they all look half asleep. Except for an ancient Greek player (in football terms) who is the only one who seems to enjoy it and scores.

Bored through the first half at least I knew I had a packet of crisps to look forward to at half time.

Apparently some of the poor darlings "need a rest" after the game and so were withdrawn from a midweek game. Ahhh, two games in a week, what a disgrace - that is way too much work!

I'm so sick of the over top top media coverage of the weather. Idiotic headlines and TV coverage.

It is just snow.

Hysterical headlines of travel chaos, airplane cancellations, temperatures of minus 15. Whenever they say minus 15 what they really mean is minus 1 - the minus 15 is forecast for a small island north of Scotland close to Greenland.

There wasn't really that much travel chaos, or plane cancellations. Low temperatures and some snow happens this time EVERY YEAR.

Worst is the Daily Express, an idiotic weather story every day. I guess it must sell papers.

They're currently doing some building work on our building. It was supposed to have been finished weeks ago.

It's nowhere near finished and that's because the people working on it must be the laziest workers in the history of... erm, lazy workers.

They turn up about around 9am, they are gone by 2. In between these times they have various strategies on how to do as little as possible.

Time is wasted in all kinds of ways. The younger ones text and facebook on their mobiles "hee hee no boss today so no work" and the older ones disappear off to the bookies to lose their money.

Here is how I break it down: 20% Having a chat and tea (and scotch) 15% "Breaks (from doing nothing) 20% texting/phone calls 15% down the local shop 15% down the local bookies 5% farting 5% nose picking, 5% actual work. (yeah I know sounds about right for a of the people you work with right?)

However today this all changed from 9.30. Just as the usual bout of nose picking was about to start and the first visit to the bookie, two cross looking guys in important jackets arrived and have been here all morning.

And they have all actually worked ALL MORNING. I guess it shows it can be done.

You think I'm joking, it's about right. I had a guest here for two hours and he looked on amazed - we both cheered when one of them picked up a shovel. He did three digs but it was all too much and he stopped.

Now I know it is similar in office work where people split real work to internet shopping/texting/social networking 70-30.

And it is a fact. If the boss isn't around whatever business it is, the workers are going to take it easy. And we wonder why nothing ever gets done.

Had one of the best meals ever this week. Just sublime food that couldn't be faulted Real treat food.

The restaurant is Hakkasan and they have two branches in London.

I suggest trying the £60 set menu. Just brilliant. Okay so that is £120 for two. However after you had the food you realise it is worth paying for. You could go to Pizza Express and end up with a £60 bill after all.

I suggest a cocktail with the food - they have an extensive list and they are sublime. I don't think wine works well with this type of good so go for a cocktail or beer. If you don't drink alcohol they also have a great range of non-alcoholic cocktails too. There's a coconut one that is great.

The food? The most amazing spare ribs, fantastic prawns. Pork stir fry, amazing veg. All cooked superbly Asian style. Thank me after you've been.

I look forwards to meeting some of you coming along to my seminar on Friday!

I really enjoy these days and meeting readers. Every one ends up being a bit different as it all depends on who is there and sometimes there are some very different roads we end up in.

Often seminars are also great for my trading as inevitably in all that time some shares come up that I might not otherwise have spotted and researched.

In the years I've been doing them I remember some fantastic ones popping on screens, the best one was the seminar where Mulberry kept appearing at 250... I remember buying the following Monday and although I sold out too early at 950 it was a tremendous profit. And the other really good one was Dialight that was 150 at the seminar and pushes 1100 now. Microgen was also a goodie I remember.

So selfishly hoping to discover something new myself! Those of you coming doors open 9.30am... follow the signs to Naked Trader..

Please come and register first from 9.30am and then find a seat - coffees will be there waiting for you..... And there's another load of coffee and tea and egg and bacon rolls due to arrive at 11am.

Hopefully something nice for lunch and then more snacks a bit later.

Please do not worry if you are late, it's easy to get delayed Mrs NT will direct you to a seat.

Grab a coffee and just relax, I promise to be gentle with you all. I hope you all enjoy the day, as it's live from the markets who knows what will come up. And as you know I talk plain English with none of that idiotic jargon. See you there!

If you missed this one (there is one seat left if you want to bag it) you can join me whether a beginner or improver... in March as I booked the date for the next seminar on March 1st for a day of live education, trades, psychology and hopeful upcoming buys from my shortlist ! Find out how to play the markets like a pro.

If you are interested email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "March Seminar interested" in the subject line.
Beginners and improvers welcome! Come and spend the day with me, the markets and some lovely people - and of course, lunch!

If you mail me I will then send you details and a full agenda of what is covered. Also more details below somewhere.

My seminars are designed for beginners, dabblers and improvers and deals with everything from how to look for winners, how to research, spreadbetting, level 2 use how to time trades and short, how to use advfn properly and run your portfolio without having to spend money on systems and tipsters.. and tons more.

A lot of the day comes directly from the live markets and I show you many of the tricks I use to get good prices live. And there might even be the odd live trade or 2!

**Follow Up Seminar - March 22Nd**

A follow up with me will be on March 22nd... You must have been on a previous basic one of mine to qualify.

The last one was great fun so I can't wait - I know some of you who came to the last one want to come again! It is all day level 2, research, finding new stuff, timing and live trading. Who knows what will happen!

If you are interested mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "follow up interested" in the subject line.

Two Great Must Have New Trading Diaries

I recommend two brilliant trading diaries for your desk! Of course the first is Naked Trader Diary 2013.

What's in it? All the hot dates for 2013, like ex dividend dates, likely company reporting dates, sporting events, and even an arrow for each day telling you whether that day has been strong or not in the past. There is also my thought of the week for each week of the year, and some looks at companies reporting on particular weeks.

If you'd like to order The Naked Trader Diary 2013 for next day delivery you can just click this link here:

As a complement to my diary, consider the excellent Stock Market Almanac 2013.

This is a tremendous stock market reference diary - really essential for anyone serious about their trading. There is some brilliant research and loads of market facts like ric codes, a timetable of the trading day, tons of lists to help you with your research.

In fact it should answer any question you have about the market. There are all the key dates and tons of analysis too for all the different parts of the year. Each page of the diary is accompanied by a short article including seasonality analysis for days and months; momentum investing analysis for shares, sectors and market indices and many more.

* The all new THIRD edition of my book Naked Trader 3 is out now !!!

Lots of new strategies including my top 20, lots more mistakes to avoid, loads of new trader tales, cartoons and a bit of fun too.

I hope you all enjoy it - and can tell I put a lot of effort into it and I really hope if it just stops one person from making the mistakes I did it will be worthwhile.

Indeed I hope the book is worth it even if you read about other people's stories, it is amazing how so many make exactly the same mistakes.

Anyhow if you buy it I hope you enjoy it! Click here:

Spreadbetting firm Tradefair Spreads has upped its offer exclusively to Naked Trader readers to a £100 credit. This offer is exclusive to me and not available anywhere else...
I've been using them for a few weeks to check that I'm happy with the service. As you know I don't take ads or allow referrals on the site unless it's a company I've used and I feel confident about.
What I like about it is it's easy to use, spreads are surprisingly tight on the smaller companies and interestingly an automated stop loss is applied to each trade - so beginners know what their max loss is from the outset.
Anyway they now offer a £100 credit as long as you deposit £100. You get the credit after you placed 5 trades (Terms and conditions apply)
If you'd like to apply for an account with Tradefair Spreads and get the freebie click this link:
http://www.tradefair.com/promo/spreads/nakedtrader100/

I use IG Index for betting on the very small companies, the only spreadbet firm I can find that does the smaller ones making it possible to trade AIM cos tax free.

Many of you enjoy the cheap advfn toplists bronze deal through me as do many of you with the cheap level 2. However many of you say you want a half-way house to include real-time share prices always on.
So I'm pleased to announce I've managed to seal a new deal with Advfn for its "Silver" service - that's always on real-time share prices for a good saving (Bronze toplists etc are included in this).
The deal is via me you can save £30 for your first year by paying just £145 inc vat via me instead of £173.71
Just mail me for full details if you'd like it with "silver" in the subject line.

Naked Trader Seminar Latest News

**** BOOKING OPEN FOR FRIDAY MARCH 1ST *****
Fancy spending a day with me, learning all the ways I have learned over the years to find good shares and play the markets? Well, you can at one of my seminars!
Booking is open for the Naked Trader seminar on March 1st

Price is £590 plus vat. There is currently a decent early bookers discount off that price - mail for details!
That includes three course lunch, coffees, snacks etc.
The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners and dabblers though improvers are welcome too.
Topics covered using live market feeds all day include: Market psychology, level 2 - a simple guide to how to use it for better timing; how to value companies; finding companies that are about to rise. I will also cover techniques for handling events such as the recent meltdown and volatility.
Spreadbetting: How to use it to gain an edge and go short. Market makers - how they work and how to beat them; how to stop losing money and make it instead and plenty more.
How to plan trade entries and exits - how to research companies and understand reports, plus all those niggly questions you always wanted to ask. How to set stop losses and targets. Charts and how to use them.
Also covered: Market maker tricks: How to spot tree shakes and use them in your favour, How to tell when NOT to buy a share. I use live ADVFN all day with lots of level 2 and looks at all kind of live market data.
The idea behind the seminar is SIMPLICITY. I don't use jargon or fancy words - everything is in PLAIN ENGLISH! No question is too stupid and the event is held in a friendly relaxed and supportive environment.
The idea is you will come away from the event I hope a wise and better investor with lots of new ideas. I try and translate complex topics into easy bite size pieces. I also aim for it to be entertaining as well as instructive.
If you are interested please e-mail me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "March seminar interested" in the subject line and I will send you full details of the event including comments from those who have come to previous seminars and you can then decide whether you would like to come. See you there!
One seminar attendee Clare wanted to write a testimonial about her experiences at the seminar which follows now!
"I've just come back buzzing from one of Robbie's seminars. What a day! He's just brilliant, and manages to pack an awful lot into one day, and with his enthusiastic and humorous delivery the day just flies by. There are no gimmicks, no sell, no "˜get-rich-quick' promises, just his own solid, sound approach which he has learnt over the years and which works.
He shows you how to minimise the risks and maximise the profits and points out the banana skins on the way. Where the seminar really comes into its own is when he teaches using live level 2. Hearing him talk through his thought processes and reasoning is invaluable, and really brings home everything from the book. He has endless patience answering peoples' questions, and really seems to care that everybody understands.
On top of that, you meet some really nice like minded people and swap e mail addresses, you're plied with
chocolates and coffee all day, have a great lunch and spend the evening getting tiddled with Robbie in the
bar afterwards! You might even get to see the amazing crocodile boots . . . .
Don't worry about the cost, it's easily worth it, and you'll soon make it back with your new-found investment skills, and in what you're no longer losing. If you're thinking of going along to his next seminar, whether you're a novice or an experienced trader, don't hesitate ""just go!
Thanks Clare, did you want the tenner in cash, or will a cheque do?

£100 Tradefair offer

I've started using Tradefair for spreadbetting - I like the auto generated stop losses which help to maintain discipline and that's good for beginners I think. And exclusively for Naked Trader readers they upped the offer to £100 credit.
So there's now a £100 credit on offer for anyone opening an account via me. You get that after 5 spreadbets (terms and conditions apply)

Naked Rambling

Sad to read HMV went bust. It was bound to happen.

Trouble is with the closure of high street retailers, very soon you won't be able to browse music or books or films anymore.

It'll just be online which is terrible. The joy of being able to browse in a shop is you might find something you would never have discovered online.

People brag about going to the high street, browsing and then buying whatever it is on the net more cheaply.

Problem with that is the shops go bust and no longer will people be able to do it.

Then once amazon controls everything, the number of books written will go way down and while prices will fall people will have much less choice.

Because there will be such small rewards for writers they won't bother to write the books anymore. There will be less sales of books and entertainment, less money in the industries, less choice.

If you stop buying while in the shop it might seem clever now but it makes the future look bleak.

All that money spent on lawyers etc just for someone to be able to wear a cross.

I don't have any objection at all to it although I can never understand why people have to make such shows of which God they support. I suppose it similar to wearing a football shirt, which tribe do we belong to?

It's also not fair. As an atheist I have nothing at all to wear to show which tribe I am in.

Maybe I should just wear a T shirt with: "I don't believe God as such exists - we are too stupid to understand why we are all here and what the point of it all is so we are just scared of it so we just follow whatever our parents believe." Bit too long for a slogan though, right?

Girls is back on Sky Atlantic, a great modern version of Sex and the City. Good fun and true to life and a reminder of what it is like to be in your early 20s !

Goodness me the BB producers pulled a masterstroke in getting the chummy housemates at each others' throats.

Letting someone listen to what other people say about them will always work.

Because we all know the old saying "Eavesdroppers never hear any good of themselves" and that is very true here.

I can imagine if we listened to any of our friends discussing us we would probably get annoyed at silly throwaway comments that aren't really meant to be hurtful.

Ch5 really need to keep the Americans in because once they are gone it's going to be pretty boring.

Anyway I did a spot of betting! I've sold the hot fave Ryland. Trading at 36 to sell on the spreads (winner gets 50) I win even if he comes second and I'm banking on audiences tiring of the camp act.

Also sold Ryan - I can't see him coming in the top 4. And I backed outsider Gillian at just 8 on the spreads so I win even if she comes fourth. She's been the nicest and nice sometimes pulls in votes.

If you fancy a bet on Big Bro Via this link Open a Sporting Index account and there's a £100cash offer - please check terms and conditions which apply.

http://www.sportingindex.com/?tpid=6755
Do remember if you do bet you ought to treat sports spreadbetting as entertainment - and expect to lose! Also with spreadbetting work out what your max loss could be and make sure you can afford it! In other words if you say backed the favourite at 15 for a fiver and they come nowhere your max loss is £75.

Agree about facebook - the youngsters who leapt onboard when it started,
posting dire photos of them doing things they shouldn't are now grown up and
getting on in their careers and errrrrr wondering if that photo of them
mooning in the disco in Majorca was a good idea!

Nice to think I am not the only unsociable grump to not want to follow the
minutiae of my friends and colleagues mostly boring lives!

I am in the states just now and feel the Starbucks asking name thing is just
more marketing bollocks to get them noticed. If they just speeded up the
service I might go there but americans seem to need all this 'service
bollocks' to make them think they are getting their moneys worth.

Thanks Anne,
well of course I agree, it's nearly all bollocks!

Duane writes:
Wanted to say a big thank you to you and Mrs NT for an amazing day of learning and fun at your seminar.

The way you explained the share trading from start to finish was understandable and really interesting, well worth the seminar fee!
It was great to hear such down to earth and honest assessment from a successful trader like yourself. The way you explained everything was good revision from your book and gave further insight into successful share trading.

I particularly liked your live trades and going through your accounts when you gave snippets of why you invested in certain shares and why you kept/dumped them. Also helpful was the way you searched for prospective shares and within minutes discounted them or put them on a short list for further examination and correct entry points. Amazing!
You could really tell that you loved doing what you do and your energy levels to keep going till 10pm was well....... I had to leave at 9pm I was shattered!

Thanks again Robbie I am keen to put into practice what you have taught me. Even though you make squillions from your trades and I am sure don't need to do the seminars for financial gain, but please keep doing those seminars for newbies like me!

Thanks Duane! Don't expect to be doing them foreever but very rewarding for me to help people so expect to carry on for a while longer.
Gabriel writes:
If you are reading this, you are perhaps considering going on one of Robbie's Seminars. You maybe asking yourself (like I did) the testimonials are all well and good but once the euphoria and excitement of attending a Seminar has died down ..... and I am back home in my normal routine and faced with the "graft" of putting it all into practice... will I become a better trader and be financially better off?
Let me tell you that in my case it certainly has!
Book your place pretty sharpish....... is what I say !

Thanks Gabriel!

Terry writes:
Fantastic seminar.

I have always been sceptical of the public testaments you see on web sites
saying how great an event was. Now I'm one of those people!. I
genuinely believe that the tips and techniques as well as the overall
approach you demonstrated will radically improve my trading performance

Thanks Terry, well all the testaments are real but know what you mean and glad you feel it was worth it!
Stephen writes:
I read your book and did the course - and I wasn't sure if I'd recoup the cost, it's been 2 years and I've made £38k + saved a loss transferring a Jupiter ISA heavily invested in BP. I can't tell you how important this is or how grateful I am. That's just me, who knows how much people have made with your help and saved by not making mistakes. I wanted to get into shares as they recovered after the crunch, but I assumed I had to put a large amount in one company I thought would make a big jump.
But what happens when you make £1m on the website, will you still do courses? I don't know how you do your ISA and SIPP investments, write the website, books, courses and answer e-mails. But please don't give it up. Couldn't you do the courses and have a standing website which gets updated with your trades say once a month so people can see what you do..

Stephen thanks so much for such a nice mail and much appreciated! Dunno about the future, I feel like I'm getting jaded. It's possible I might just reduce it all at some point to twice a month after going weekly - that would probably help. The other problem is other people's angst is getting to me and the email workload becoming overwhelming. I think after ten years it might be time for me to quit. Anyway good luck with your trades and hope you make a lot more.

Markets

Tony Blair has installed a trading desk at his home! Apparently he wants to do something with the £20 million plus he has made.

(A Labour Prime Minister, you couldn't have made this up)

He's employed some bankers to trade shares for him.

Well, good luck Tony - knowing bankers and traders watch for your £20 million to be worth £15 million in a year...

I wonder whether Tony will take any advice from his old mate Gordon Brown.

What's next: Gordon Brown launching his own Gold fund?

Yes!! You can now invest in the Brown Gold Fund. Brown is an expert at selling gold!

Brown's experience is second to none. Yes, in the late 90s Brown sold the UK's gold for the great price of £9.99 !

Conditions at the moment tend to be very favourable for stock pickers but not so good for day traders, index traders etc.

I was reading through some of the questionaires of those coming to my seminar on Friday and some lost big sums betting on the FTSE to go down. They bet on it to go down cos it went up a bit.

Fair logic I guess but don't expect markets to be logical. You could argue markets should be 1,000 points lower given the mess we are in. But markets are a law to themselves - it isn't worth going against a trend - better to go with a trend even if you privately think that trend is crackers.

I'm not complaining - I can't remember a better start to a year and 2012 was brilliant too.

However I am really not far off taking a few profits off the table.

There's been nothing shouting at me from the rooftops to buy this week so I haven't - got quite a few ideas on a shortlist which I'll discuss with some of the you at the seminar on Friday but none of them have given me enough of a buy signal to get stuck in.

However one or two shorts look interesting.

I've shorted Horseburgerco, whoops I mean Tescos (TSCO) - I wasn't convinced by the recent statement and think it has run up too high so went short on a spreadbet at 357 . Cue hate mail from Tescos fans... it is a short-term idea only and would expect to be out soon. Of course if you short Tescos shares, you get one free for every one you sell. I guess I'm looking for a fall to about 330.

Ocado (OCDO) looks a tempting short again so I was tempted at 86 after a so so trading statement. Looked pretty lacklustre to me and I can't see how this one could be valued much higher. Lots of trumpeting of more customer but what about profits?

And I don't usually do the US, but it is too tempting not to short Facebook shares after its long awaited announcement proved a damp squib. In fact the announcement was even a bit sinister. UK Facebook accounts are being closed all the time, Mrs NT closed hers recently. They have too much access to our private info - I think anyone putting up photos and stuff about themselves which can be targeted are crazy.

By the way if you struggle to find spreadfirms that allow shorts on shares like Facebook and carpetright this is the one I use: http://www.capitalspreads.com/ntrader
They have tight spreads too and great execution of trades, instant usually.

I've sold nearly all my AGA except for what I need to qualify for the shareholders' discount! For the website easier if it all goes, so it is sold at 83.1 for a profit of £2,550.

It's been a marvellous trade flagged up at the last seminar - I've sold because it's gone way past target and up over 40% and I think after such a ride it's going to pause here for a while and I can always get back on if it looks like another spurt up is on the way.

I've taken part profits (topsliced) on long-termer Avon Rubber at 410 - profit of £660 and £1,070 last two trades. Still looks a great company and indeed kind of hoping it'll go down a bit to pick those shares I sold back up again cheaper!

Vitec keeps going down, no idea why but didn't want to fight the market so sold some at 630.6 to close the last 3 site trades for a profit of £352 however keeping the other two open trades. I would be looking to buy these very soon on much further weakness. And I sold the recent Volex trade because sellers kept on coming in the 106 area on level 2. I sold at 106.3 for a profit of £765.

All that selling gives a total profit for the site of £5,397

Well, things continue to look really good - however with such good gains one has to have an eye on taking some more profits soon!

Recent trades are all going well - recent top up Carclo is sitting under a fiver - might take a push to get it through but if it does, a bullish sign for the year ahead. I think this one could rise very strongly this year. Its CIT technology looks a winner and the shares could easily have a massive run up from here given time and patience. Already doubled on it and sitting on massive profits but I feel the best is yet to come.

St Ives has been going like a rocket - couldn't quite manage to go over 125 but went back down to 115 but hopefully it will try again. Vislink (VLK) is shooting up nicely and looking for it to go 37p ish. Management already forecasts some nice profit rises over the next 3 years and it looks cheap and at some point should get a rerating. Very low risk too and it is in a hot sector.

Nichols where I now sit on a fabulous profit is up again after telling the market it is ahead of expectations - it has tons of cash so I'd expect them to announce some kind of big dividend with results in March.

LOQ keeps making great annoncements and has done it again! Now nearly four timed my money on this one but I feel more to come! Can it crack 400? Costain seems in the middle of a deserved rerating at last and patience is paying off here, I wonder if it can get up to 300?

Greencore continues to soar, more than doubled here now and the recent top up in a massive profit now too.

Low and Bonar has been a bit slow, still the trade has nearly worked out and ten per cent could soon be bagged.

Trifast has leapt nicely - I hope it will have another go at defeating the 50p mark. Trying hard today!

Cash Converters has had a nice rise and I hope that will get to at least a quid. Up a bit today.

I'm hoping for a bid soon on Alternative Networks (they already turned one bidder down) and in the meantime there has been great capital growth and a massive dividend as they have loads of cash. It's now trying to crack the tricky 300p area.

The lovely Porvair has been motoring up very nicely over Xmas and in good profits there now.

Telecom Plus continues to find 900 a tough area to crack though it has managed to close over that price once or twice now. still think this one will just continue to grow and grow and one day could be in the ftse 100. Website profits of well over £100,000 and personal profits of nearly £300,000. I just continue a long-term holder.

Vectura is on the rise again a good drugs pipeline here and it has tons of cash - could be a future very big star and hoping to hold on longer term.

Chime keeps on going up - a good 30 points higher quite quickly over Xmas and still in this from 50p so a nice times four and a great profit on the ones bought more recently in the 140s and the spreadbet.

Dialight has been heading higher again after a spells around a tenner it has lifted up above 1100. I remember so well buying these at 150 ish at a seminar in 2009 ! I never thought I'd still have them three years later at over a tenner.

Coastal continues to shine and now nearly trebled on this brilliant oil play. I suspect a bid will come in here this year at hopefully around the 1800 mark.

Direct Line has proved a surprise nice winning trade and has sped over 200. I was thinking of taking profits at over 200 but it seems so strong staying with it for the mo. I laugh as I only bought because all the magazine tipsters said don't buy!

. Sepura continues to go for it and 100 surely must be cracked sooner or later.

And at last Iomart is really motoring and it is up a lot today, hope it can keep it up!!

A reminder you can spend a day with me and live markets on March 1st.. Email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com with "March seminar interested" in the subject line. There is a decent early bird discount!
I've been getting e-mails regarding my use of direct market access and who I use. I've tried a few and for me the easiest system for me is here:
http://www.igmarkets.com/nakedtrader

Direct market access means you can place orders directly onto the order book bypassing brokers and market-makers with a chance to buy at the "sell" price. I would suggest you ensure you know what you're doing first but IG does provide much education with its "tradesense" educational tool which comes with it.
I also use its spreadbetting service too along with other firms like Tradefair because it now provides trailing stops which to me is a pretty sensible way of trading. Also with this link there is an excellent education programme and it offers the biggest range of smaller shares.

As usual before opening accounts please read all the warnings on the sites. You can lose a lot of money if you're not careful so pay close attention to them and make sure you always understand what you are doing and what your potential losses are.

Capital Spreads offer

Capital Spreads offers a really excellent book on spreadbetting for those who open accounts through the link below. Spreads are very tight and every trade has to have a stop loss which is excellent discipline to have especially for beginners. Execution is really good I find and they also allow shorts on shares it is hard to get shorts on like say Carpetright or facebook.

Telecom Plus Offer

Want to quit the rat race? Try and start a new source of income so one day you can tell the boss to stuff it? You could do what I did to escape my grotty office job and become an independent distributor for the Utilities Discount Warehouse.
You get to sell great broadband, phone packages and energy to friends, relatives, contacts and anyone else you find and you get cash for each sale but more importantly you get a cut of their spend EVERY MONTH for as long as they are a customer!
It's called residual income and is a far better way to enjoy a ripe old age than relying on a pension. Because even after you stop selling the money STILL comes in!
I still get paid EVERY MONTH for sales I made back in 1999! Every time a customer uses broadband or the phone or switches on a light you get paid.
It's a great business and backed by a stock market company (Telecom Plus), a dedicated team of advisors.. and me to help you on your way!
Not only do you get paid out every month for each customer you can take on distributors. encourage them like I do and get paid on their sales as well.
One day, say you could made redundant, needed a year off or wanted to retire early can you imagine what joy it is to have the regular income coming in. It's wonderful.
You have to work at it, but if you do genuine repeat wealth could be yours. I did it. You can too. For full details, why not email me at robbiethetrader@aol.com.
An overview is also available at http://www.utilitywarehouse.org.uk/fabdeal you can sign up directly there but do tell me! (Click become a distributor and follow links)

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time.
Trades first reported Wednesday afternoons under "Markets" section..
